My wife and I took the self hypnosis course here last month. I wasn’t totally sold on self hypnosis but I thought it might help me lose weight and deal with issues in my past. This class taught us everything we need to know to use self hypnosis to make improvements in our lives! I went into it thinking it as a bit of BS but after it was well explained I have littel doubt that it really works. It is just a method to purposefully plant things in our subconscious mind rather than have it happen in a random manner; there is nothing magic about it. I’ve had trouble getting exercise going in my life in the past and keeping there. What I thought was interesting so far is that one of my suggestions was that my back doesn’t hurt and since then my back hasn’t been hurting at all. I was amazed when after the last class I decided to go for a walk and walked for 5 miles without my back hurting once. Keep in mind I’m approaching 300 pounds and walking that far is a miracle! It has only been a few weeks since then but I’ve noticed that since I’ve started doing self hypnosis I think about being fit very often and it influences my decisions about it for the better. While the focus at this place is to help people deal with trauma you can use this just to take more control of your life; I highly recommend it.
