So much to say good and bad. I was in a Rehab across from Chandler Hospital for a week and then switched down to Oasis. Yes, Oasis was much nicer place, fancier, flat tv’s, etc. But the care at the other place was much better. But it was old and the rooms were small. This was my first ever experience being in a rehab and let me tell you, it’s not a place you want to be EVER. So while they both had their strong and weak points, it comes down to the people. And the nurses at Oasis were 90% compassionate except for Nurse Ratchett and one or two others. When you are sick, you need and deserve compassion. The wound nurse at Oasis should be shot. She hurt me so bad words can’t describe. So my review of Nursing Homes in General is below zero. Horrid places to be stuck at. 2 weeks and I was ready to kill anybody. Oh, but some total dip shit at Oasis threw away my flowers from my daughter and grandkids. What a total idiot. Hide anything you want to keep, including your pillows. Nurse Ratchett told me I was only allowed to have 3 pillows. There were no towels EVER. They were rationed for showers. They were very cheap here. And whatever you do, don’t give them your laundry. You’ll never see it again! PT people were good. But no privacy in your life of any kind. They walk in on you in the bathroom, nobody cares about privacy. All in all, the nursing home experience is one I would avoid at all costs. It was the worst nightmare of my life.
