Saw a few signs on the interstate about the moon shine collection and the small barrel bourbon. Being a bourbon drinker I decided to check it out. They have some neat upper end bourbon(80 and up) that I would have loved to try, but are out of my budget. The selection of mid priced ones was not as wide. Lots of low end stuff(35 and less). I did walk around and check out the store. Pretty standard stuff. The store was clean and the team members were friendly. I did look at the whiskey selection overall and it was pretty good too. Once again, some real neat upper end stuff. What bumps this store from three stars to four is the upper end stuff. While out of my normal budget(okay, I can afford but I don’t want to spend for it) the upper end stuff was nice to see.

The staff was unfamiliar with their products and what they had in stock. Everything here was several dollars more than what you could purchase it for at the grocery store. We came in looking for some local brew and were disappointed when everything was exactly what you’d find at any other liquor store. There were no free samples as advertised on all their highway signage. We spent a pretty hefty sum of money on souvenir-type alcohol and were not allowed to use their restroom.

Did you see the billboards on the interstate? I recall seeing them and all of their«free moonshine tasting» glory. We didn’t plan to go here, it was just directly across the street from the Holiday Inn Express, where we were staying for the night. So why we decided to walk over. They let us sample several different types of moonshines. My favorites were the Sweet Tea moonshine and the Moon Pie vanilla… that stuff is awesome! I’d tried it before with root beer, it tasted like a root beer float and I’d tried it with orange soda, that tasted like a creamcicle after they were mixed with the vanilla Moon Pie moonshine. So if you like the vanilla straight up, buy it and try it with root beer or soda, thank me later. I will admit, it looks a lot bigger from the outside, but they’re not lacking in selection. I decided on tequila to take with me during my stay for the next few days in a dry county. My husband decided on an IPA craft beer. Although they didn’t have craft beer in the cooler, they had quite a bit on the shelf. They even had Kentucky Ale Bourbon Barrel… try that stuff, thank me later.

Mostly just flavored cheap vodkas and every single varietal of Moonshine you can buy in Gatlinburg. They had some decent whiskeys and ryes, but over all it was a bunch of trash and Arbor Mist.
