Tried this place for lunch today. To be fair the restaurant was very busy. I was still a little ticked my Pad Thai to go order took 30min. Yum Yum has star ratings for how spicy you want the meal to be. I went with 2. The flavor was really good and I enjoyed the Pad Thai a lot. The quality of the chicken wasn’t the best but it was on par with other Thai places. The lunch specials are around $ 8 – 9 and the portions could feed two people. I’ll definitely try this place again but not during the lunch hour.

I was surprised to find a Thai place that wasn’t some sort of Asian fusion as most of the other Thai places in the area seem to be. The overall Unilocal star rating looked pretty good, so we decided to give this place a try while in the immediate area. The service was very pleasant — friendly and attentive. We were checked on a few times during our meal and didn’t need to ask for more water or even extra napkins. They were on top of it! The food was pretty good, not fantastic and not below expectations. The spice level seems to grow rather quickly, so know your preferences and order accordingly. My kiddo and I shared a few dishes at just a spice level 1, and it was too much for her. Luckily, we had planned on a counter measure just in case things were too spicy: she LOVED the mango sticky rice(something sweet, and with coconut milk to counter that spice!). My husband was a big fan of his pad woon sen. The pad see ew that my daughter and I shared with just very mild spice was borderline too spicy for her, but was pretty good for just a little spice. The mussaman was a little sweet to me(comparing to the same dish at other places), and seeing others mention the sweetness of their dishes here I’m guessing it’s a trend with at least the curry type items here. I LOVE a good Thai iced tea, but I was disappointed with the one I had here. It wasn’t as rich as any I’ve had before; it even seemed a little watery. My husband’s Thai coffee had the same issue. Wish the drinks were more«full-bodied» here. Overall, the great service and food that scratches the Thai food craving make this spot pretty good!

Went there for lunch during a weekday, they were running busy but still service was quick. Had tofu green curry and it was too sweet for my liking, though I asked them to make it medium hot. Thai ice tea was good and as expected. Won’t visit again.

We are regulars! We love the consistency of our favorite dish(Massaman Curry) A bit pricey but they give you large portions. We usually get a total of 4 meals out of 2 entrees.

Picked up Chicken pad thai and some spring rolls. Both the items were delicious. Picture might look spicy but not spicy at all. :)

Good standard Thai restaurant. The décor is a bit weird and the food isn’t that spicy even at the max level but the portions are quite generous.

Super slow: 30min just to get water. Menus were disintegrating. Food wasn’t bad, but quantity of ingredients was lacking.

I’m giving a free star for being a mile from home and serving Thai. If not for that, I wouldn’t be back. They have the usually dishes, but… Tom Yum: they put many tomatoes in it making it some bizarre soup that can’t be called Tom Yum and doesn’t make it better. Green Curry: it shouldn’t be sweet, but it is. Pad Thai: also too sweet Nua Siam: two big pieces of beef that aren’t very inspired with just pan fried vegetables — never saw any«fresh ginger» on the dish at all Larb Kai: this one is ok I really wish they would read their reviews and act on them. They could be so much better with minor effort. I won’t hold my breath as in 2 years they haven’t even a website or menu available on like or linked to Unilocal

Stopped here a few times while on business in Cary. The general gist: –The food is good! I’ve tried numerous items and been happy with them all. My go to is the Pad Thai with Chicken. –The spicy scale is 1 – 4, I find 2 is spicier than a 3 at most places that have a 1 – 5 scale. Careful you don’t end up with food too hot to eat! –The service is friendly and will even deal with large parties at a moments notice. –They only have 1 beer, Singha, so if you’re looking for a large booze menu head elsewhere. –Carry out is super quick and easy, I’ve done it numerous times to eat at the hotel. I’ll definitely be back again!

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner last night and we were so impressed! We ordered the basil rolls, chicken satay, mild pad thai and this veggie/tofu stir friend dish. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to go back.

This place was really yummy! Great amount of food for the price and extremely tasty. They could have had an extra waiter on hand as it seemed like the one girl was servicing the entire restaurant. Will definitely recommend and go back when I’m in the mood for Thai! Be sure to get the Tom Kha!

Service was a bit slow albeit friendly. Dished were large and could be split. On a weekend no «lunch» sized portions are offered, just the more expensive«Dinner» size but you can split with another. Pad Thai is good, so are the spring rolls but they are a but full of lettuce. Not too shabby for the prices. If you like Pop-Thai language radio hits, this is the place for you. Lunch for three came to $ 36 total. expect to pay around $ 12/person.

I used to come to this place regularly but just stopped eating out so much. This place is fantastic though. Raleigh needs more culturally diverse food(I’m from California). Love the curry dishes, everything’s always perfectly cooked, portions are quite large(mmm leftovers), Thai iced tea… and such nice servers. Can’t go wrong here. Good stuff.

Super pad thai and basil friend rice. Extra extra extra spicy is the way to go. Don’t waste your time or stomach on spring rolls. Not very good.

I eat here once a week. I have tried many of their dishes and only found a few flavor profiles that didn’t fit my palate. My favorite dishes are Pad Thai, Red Curry, and Spicy Fried Rice(love that basil flavor).

Need a quick and tasty place for lunch? Yum Yum fits the bill. Solid 4 stars. They have great service; I never had to wait for a refill, attention, or my check. I ordered the veggie pad Thai and it was a good sized, flavorful portion. It was a clean restaurant with booths and tables. During the lunch hour, it gets filled quickly. It’s in a convenient location. I was staying at the nearby Embassy Suites and it’s a short walk or a blink of a drive away.

This place kept all the orginal flavors in all their dishes. I was really surprised bc most Thai places I’ve been to lacked flavors for my Asian tongue. I had the Pad see U and I loved it. Didn’t even have to dress it with hot sauce or anything! However their Tom Yum Ka(coconut soup) was way too salty. Had to eat it with rice and it was too salty still. but that won’t stop me from coming back.
