Starpath Dance Academy

My daughter took dance for a couple of years here. Unfortunately, parents don’t have much of a say. Ms. Lindsey is the coach and there is no questioning her decisions. Or else you can’t be on the team. Communication isn’t great with the parents, unless you go in to pick-​up and drop-​off your kid. There are other dance studios in the area. Check them out first before you commit here.

My daughter just finished her first year of dance lessons with Ms. Lindsey at Starpath Dance Academy and she loved every moment!
I was worried that she would be a handful for Ms. Lindsey because my daughter likes doing her own thing. But, Ms. Lindsey’s patience and enthusiasm for dance creates a supportive environment for a toddler like mine who just wants to dance and have fun. She is also patient with my daughter’s «off-​days» when she just wants to lay on the floor and watch. Ms. Lindsey’s enthusiasm is consistent and her encouragement gets my daughter moving on her off-​days. She is wonderful!
At a young age, my daughter is learning basic dance techniques. It’s wonderful to hear my 3 year old say, «Momma, watch me while I do an arabesque!» Or, «Momma, this is how you tondue!»
The most important thing about this dance studio is my daughter wants to keep coming back. Whether she wants to dance or is even having an off-​day, she’ll ask, «Is today dance class? Can I go to dance class?» This tell me that she loves her teacher and enjoys being in class with her.
Overall: Ms. Lindsey is passionate about dance and is a very caring teacher. She loves what she does and it shows in her teaching methods. The co-​founder, Janice, as well as the whole staff is caring and supportive of your dancer. This is a great place for your child to grow up and learn dance!
