Cute little niche store filled with tons of old timey soda pop and even some they concoct themselves. You can buy them by the bottle or by the four pack. Either way it’s not exactly cheap, so be prepared. Also old school candy in single packaging and by the pound. It was really hard to walk out of there empty handed, but I did!

Cool place with lots of funny pop-culture novelty items. I really liked seeing all of this stuff in one location and enjoyed reading the vintage style metal signs. They have a nice variety of flavored sodas and drinks. The prices left me not so amazed but it is definitely worth visiting just to have some fun. I think if they knocked the price down on some of the things they would have a lot more revenue, for example the small metal signs are $ 16, and should be more like $ 10 or even $ 12 considering you can find them all on Amazon for around $ 9 with free shipping. The boxed candy you can find in the dollar tree for $ 1 is $ 3 here. Cool idea but they need to work out their business model.

I had such a great time at Rocket Fizz! It’s a fun place to spend an afternoon. I think I spent about an hour going through just the candy alone. Note that while Rocket Fizz sells some very interesting sounding and unique sodas, I went for the candy — and specifically the chocolate. I didn’t give the sodas much of a look(although they did have a chocolate soda!). I did purchase a wide assortment of chocolate that I can’t get elsewhere. My favorite was a chocolate bar with cake batter. The chocolate bar was four squares — so small in size but a square is plenty to fix a chocolate craving! In the middle was cake batter! It was by far the most interesting, fun, and yummy piece of chocolate I had in awhile. It can get expensive. I was buying chocolate bars that cost between 4.00−8.00, but I also know that these are the prices on those bars if I were to get them elsewhere. These are specialty chocolate bars. They do have other chocolate bars that will not cost you that much including giant kit-kats and M&M candy bars. A big part of the fun of Rocket Fizz is just the experience of it. The staff are very knowledgeable and can answer all your candy questions. They have lots of retro candy as well as current items. It’s fun to explore the shop looking for old and new favorites. It’s a bit of a drive from where I live(30 minutes each way) but it’s a trip I will make now and then.

Cary’s a cool town, but I’m not sure I would describe it as ‘hip.’ But we gots Rocket Fizz now. And it’s kinda hip. I walked in to get my kids some candy, and I ended up looking at stuff for me. It’s the perfect mix of nostalgia and sugar. Also, the folks working there know their inventory and can help you find exactly what you’re looking for — or order it if you need it.

This is a very unique place. Not cheap, but fun. I tried the chocolate soda and it was great. They also have some hard-to-find brands of ginger ale and root beer(as well as all the other crazy flavors you have never seen before)

I stopped in on my search for blue and yellow M&M for a baking project. Though from the pictures on Unilocal,I sort of guessed that they don’t sell candies in bulk, I still thought I would give it a try. As I walked in at around 8 pm on a Friday night, there was quite a crowd in there. I was disappointed to see that they don’t have candies in bulk bins, but I thought I would still wonder around. They have a great assortments of different candies organized into different sections by type. I was very surprised to see a section of Japanese candies/treats. They have pocky, which is now not that uncommon to find here. However, what really caught my eyes were green tea kitkat. These were amazing! I was so happy that I can get them here now. If you have not try green tea kitkat, do yourself a favor and go to Rocket Fizz! I did not browse for too long since I was still on my quest for blue and yellow M&M for my cookies, but from what I saw, I was happy to see what they have. If you have a friend who loves candies, take them here or make a candy bouquet for a present. I’m sure you will find many unique candies to please everyone!

It’s like a walk down memory lane, and every candy lover’s dream! Some of the sodas are a little scary(peanut butter bacon, anyone?), but they are fun to try. It’s loads of fun to browse, since there’s always something you missed the last time you were there. The guy at the register was very kind, and friendly to my kids(knowing how crazy kids can be in a place like this!)

This place is just fun with a capital F. We could’ve spent hours inside, there’s so much to look at. I love the way everything is just kind of mounded together, like organized chaos. A little pricey, but we still loved it! Do it… go!

Who doesn’t love a retro candy store? For some reason lately I’ve been on the search for some old school candy which is why I’m glad we have our first Rocket Fizz here in the Triangle. I found out about Rocket Fizz awhile ago while searching for a certain candy online I had no idea they planned on opening a store in Cary. I finally had an excuse to stop in and check this place out. I was a little disappointed that what I needed they didn’t have enough product for me to purchase but oh well at least I was able to browse around and check out all the neat stuff they do have. Besides candy they sell tins signs such as Marilyn Monroe, Lollapalooza back in the Nirvana days, and many more. Lot’s of gag gifts too if you are looking for any«stache» stuff, an inflatable toupee, or a whoopee cushion this is your place. They had so much to look at it was a little overwhelming. All kinds of taffy, candy cigarettes, all types of bacon candy and lollipops you name it they probably have it as far as candy goes. Rocket Fizz sells a large selection of unique sodas as well, I didn’t really check out much of them on this trip since it wasn’t what I was looking for but the walls are surrounded by soda bottles. They also have a cooler in the store with cold sodas to purchase. For that really special person that’s hard to buy for or if you are looking for something funny or out of the box this is a great place to check out for a gift. You can event purchase a giant stand-up of «The Most Interesting Man in the World» Dos Equis guy. Cool store to stroll through, take the kids for a specials treat, or to just feel like a kid again. They jam out to some 50s tunes in the store so if you’re into that, well that’s just one more reason to stop on in!

This place is fun! I found my favorite candy which I had not seen in at least 10 years. My husband found many different kinds sarsaparilla, so he was happy. They have life size cardboard cutouts of contemporary tv stars. My husband took some selfies with them. They also have some gag gifts and tin signs that reflect pop culture mantras. All ages seemed to be enjoying the place.

Rocket Fizz is the shizz! Surprised the kids with a stop in after school and they(and I) were blown away. I’ve seen other ‘candy shops’ try to be this joint, but I’ve never seen anything close. You feel like you’re blasted back to the 50’s with kitschy, catchy tin signs smattering the walls and tons of blast from the past goodies — candy cigs anyone?!! However, the showstopper for me was the hundreds and hundreds of specialty colas. Truly amazing: bacon cola, keylime cola, Bubble Up, Big Red, Moxie, triple cola, hundreds of Root Beers, cream sodas, orange sodas, grape sodas… All in glass bottles, of course. So so neat. The kids and I came home and have started a «wall» of soda bottles so we can go back and try new ones :-)

5 Stars because this place is just so unique in this area. More candy than I’ve ever seen, and definitely more soda(Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Soda!!! And that’s just one!). A lot of nostalgic candy items, and even tin signs and the old-school metal lunch boxes. The staff seemed very friendly and willing to help me find what I was looking for — but I was just browsing. If you’re looking for something specific, they probably have it(or I get the impression they’d try to find it for you); if you’re not, you could probably spend over an hour in there just looking. Definitely worth checking out!

Rocket Fizz is exactly the place to visit when the sugar craving strikes. In a store already complete with old-time candy and various flavors of saltwater taffy, Rocket Fizz also has an equally impressive selection of sodas. For both, customers can pick favorites, single serve, or by the pound for the taffy or by the bottle for the soda. For the sodas, there are brands from all over, including Cheerwine, and Coke and Pepsi from Mexico, and some of Rocket Fizz’ own brand. All are bottled, a must for those like me who think bottled sodas taste better. The nice thing is that all flavors are available for the same price, but you can make your own four or six or more-pack, even a case, with a slightly lower price depending on the size. This is ideal because there are more than a few I’d like to try. Some flavors looked interesting, like the chocolate, but others — eh – not so much; something about peanut butter soda just doesn’t sound appealing. And the corn soda? maybe. Rocket fizz is retro — from the soda, to the candy, to the small toys and games, and posters on the wall. The full size Batman figure at the front of the store is somewhat unnerving, but sets the tone. Rocket fizz is all about a fun trip back in time, or a good way to introduce your palate, or that of the kids, to something you or perhaps your parents enjoyed way back when.
