This Red Lobster has been hit-or-miss with both the food and the servers since my husband and I have moved to the Cary area. The past 2 times seem to be developing a negative pattern, however, with poorly cooked food and very, very slow service. Our experience last night was very disappointing as my husband had to send his fish back to be cooked properly and our server seemed to take a really long time between courses. I do hope that things get better after the Holidays.

Didn’t’ get to eat so I can’t review the food. Customer service here needs attention. Gave my name to the young man at front and received a pager. Told the wait was 15 – 20 minutes. After 35 – 40 minutes we inquired. Turns out(1) our name wasn’t ever on the list and(2) «sometimes these pagers don’t work.» If they don’t work, then why are you using them? To make matters worse, they tried to cover up by saying they called our name. Wait. I thought my name wasn’t on the list. How then, dear, can you call my name? Finally, we are going to be seated(I’m sure they could see the steam coming from my ears at this point), and they walk us past 4EMPTYBOOTHS and seat us in the very back corner of the restaurant and tell us our server will be right with us. Well, she never materialized either. Having had enough, we left; and now my kid, who was wanting popcorn shrimp, is eating Domino’s pizza. Ugh. Never again Walnut Street Red Lobster. I’m done with you.

This ranks as one of the worst experiences in a restaurant and considering a price tag of over $ 100! For three adults including one beer and 2 waters no appetizer no dessert. Service was slow seemed to be always waiting and looking for our server and it was not because it was busy! First we started with clam chowder Omg it was a base of skim milk and water and where were the potatoes and clams, they were missing, a can of Campbell’s would have been a huge improvement, then we sent the soup back and tried the lobster bisque better but nothing but broth, no lobster here this was lobster flavored only and you are paying an up charge over a salad too. For main course I ordered fresh catch grouper for $ 25 I expected more than maybe a 6 ounce portion but it was over cooked and was the first fish I would describe as chewy and rubbery in texture. I sent this back and ordered the 3 lobster tail dinner this was good but way too much sauce it was drowned in a butter sauce that was way too salty, and served with a frozen mini corn cob, one of our other meals was a combo of crab legs and shrimp but frozen breaded shrimp you know I expect more if I’m paying these prices, and afterwards the stuffed, bloated and generally very uncomfortable feeling after the meal, we will not return here anytime soon. If I compare my experience here to our favorite sushi restaurant No comparison!

It’s crab month and I couldn’t resist. I ordered a lb of snow crab with corn on the cob and potatoes. When it arrived I had to put on my glasses to see the potatoes. They looked like what you put in the ground to grow potatoes, they were soooo small. I was expecting roasted red skins and was disappointed in what arrived. With that said the crab was great, very sweet. My waitress was so/so. Never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and they were very slow at picking up out dishes.

Have been here before and had a pleasant experience, but today was below expectations. Food was taking extremely long and after 30 minutes in a not so busy restaurant, I received cold food. Trying to muster through it, my wife got a manager. They remade the food which wasn’t eaten which was fair but after already waiting and having to wait even longer, I was no longer hungry. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this location again. Food takes too long, apologies don’t seem genuine, and mistakes aren’t corrected quickly.

Visited Red Lobster with my in-laws last night. They can be real seafood snobs but were overall satisfied with the experience. We started the night with coconut shrimp & shrimp nachos. The shrimp nachos had that nacho cheese flavor I wasn’t expecting. The coconut shrimp was great alone but with the added coconut cream sauce, it turned into a dessert. We also ordered a dozen raw oysters and were disappointed to not find the seawater flavor that lingers in a good oyster. According to the waitress who informed us That the oysters were a day old & have traveled from Louisiana, then I guess we really can’t complain. They are not as good as shuckers in downtown Raleigh but still good. We also ordered a fresh lobster. We were under the impression cleaned meant with the shell removed but it wasn’t. We also ordered a lobster tail with a steak & it was good. I thought the steak was a little too fatty. I ordered the shrimp tacos with brow rice pilaf. We ordered the fire grilled salmon, shrimp, & scallops platter as well as a platter with salmon, shrimp, & snow crab legs. We finished the night with dessert. I wouldn’t recommend the cookie with a lava like center & a minuscule dollop or vanilla ice cream. I would suggest the cheesecake or the apple crumble dessert. The service was okay. We had to wait a significant amount of time for our biscuits to arrive & for anyone to take our appetizer order. Laura was very sweet & was pleasantly accommodating because we did have an infant with us.

Love the rolls, but everything else is mediocre at best. This place is pricey for what you get. Quality isn’t terrible, but it isn’t great. I would come back more often if the prices were lower or the quality improved. But as is, I will not frequent This restaurant.

The food was ok. But considering we went in for a late lunch and it took over half an hour for all of our food to come out… We got most of it in under 20 minutes. We waited for a salad with chicken on it and crispy fries. Both of which should have taken under 10 minutes to prepare… The server was nice enough but inattentive. We had to remind him about a glass of water for our teenage daughter. Overall it was ok. The manger comped our entire meal. We still won’t be back anytime soon. If you go in don’t sit in Zack’s section.

The only reason my husband and I decided to eat at Red Lobster is because I had a pregnancy craving for fried shrimp. Neither of us has been to a Red Lobster in 10+ years and were actually quite surprised by how upscale it looked inside and honestly by how dang crowded it was! We got shrimp«nachos» to start off with and I use the word nacho loosely because the only thing that made these nachos was the tortilla chips. On top of the chips was a very watery cheese sauce, teensie shrimp, tomatoes, jalapenos and sour cream. They were okay, but not what I was expecting. Both of us ordered the create your own option and I got the coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi and popcorn shrimp. All were good. The piña colada sauce that came with the coconut shrimp was overwhelmingly sweet though. The cheddar bay biscuits were delish of course but deadly at 400 calories per biscuit. It was a ton of food so we were able to eat the rest for dinner the next night which was nice not to have to cook anything. I am about to give birth so I probably won’t have these cravings anymore and won’t be back.

Excellent service! They say customer service is dead, but it’s just been hiding at this red lobster. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly staff. Our server, daniel was phenomenal. He was funny and very attentive. It felt like I knew him all my life. Additionally, the manager came around and asked us if everything was fine, which is a nice touch. Now to the other side of things, the food. I thought it was great! The biscuits are to die for, reincarnate, and die again. the buttery sauce with the lobsters, de-li-ci-ous! You can’t go wrong with this red lobster.

What can I say; it’s Red Lobster. I go here once a year to watch and marvel as our own Kuanyu Chen tries to beat his own record at Endless Shrimp(current stands at 32, including sides and biscuits). The herb cheese biscuits are addictively salty and make me think I’m making poor choices every time I give in to one; the salads aren’t bad; the mashed potatoes are comfortingly stodgy. It’s not freshly caught, local seafood by any means, just standardized chain food, but you could certainly do a lot worse if you were in a bind and needed a meal. The Cary location is clean and staffed by attentive, helpful people, though the place is ridiculously dark inside — I’ve been in movie theaters that were brighter!

Excellent Server… Fiancé and I went to Red Lobster I ordered the whole lobster and she shrimp. Our server was Dylan who was excellent, funny, and nice. He hand picked my lobster which was about 3lbs and we never had to ask for anything. This guy was on point before I could ask he already has drinks on table, he never interrupted us and he came back to talk with us throughout the night. I certainly never give over 35% tip, but I have never gone to any restaurant that a server has genuinely treated us like family. I gave him a 114% tip and mentioned him to the manager. Our meal was $ 88 and his tip was $ 100. If you need a server who will treat you like family go and ask for Dylan.

I was always told growing up that any place that serves a lot of butter is bad for you… not Red Lobster! As everyone probably knows, their biscuits are TODIE for. Delicious, warm, and buttery. Always a favorite of mine. But since I was really craving shrimp, and I love pastas, I went with the shrimp alfredo pasta and ordered a Berry Mango Daquiri. The pasta was the perfect size for my appetite, and the daquiri was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend this drink to everyone, especially if you like fruity with a kick! I will definitely come back!

This is a good Red Lobster. Very polite staff and the facility was very clean. Had Dre as a waitress and she was very attentive and helpful! Crab legs are always good and all other seafood was as advertised. Left very full and needing a nap.

If you gotta go to a Red Lobster, this is a good Red Lobster to go to. We had good service and good food today. The lunch Sailor’s Platter for just $ 10.29 is quite the deal, imho. I got two small fillets of broiled fish, a few fried shrimp and some shrimp scampi along with my choice of side(baked potato with sour cream), and a salad(honey mustard on the side for me), plus their infamous biscuits. And nobody does tartar sauce quite like Red Lobster. I have to have some every time I come. Husband did his fave Admiral’s platter, which was fried everything… shrimp, scallops, clams, fish and fries. For his salad he chose blue cheese. He very much liked this, although(surprisingly!) couldn’t finish it. Service was very good. We appreciated all the hard-working folks who served up a very nice meal for us on this Easter Sunday.

There are better places to eat! We started off with appetizer(we went last month) and I can’t even remember what we had so it couldn’t of been that good. We didn’t have a reservation so we had to wait to eat but I figured that as it was a busy Friday night. For our entrée we decided to splurge and each got something off the lobsterfest menu: Dueling lobster tails. and the Ultimate fest. One of my dueling lobster tails with the stuffing in it was so disgusting tasting I couldn’t eat it. The other tail was just okay. The best part of my meal was the biscuits. For the ultimate fest the scampi and Walt’s Favorite Shrimp was just ok, if that. The lobster tail was okay and the best part of that meal was the snow crab legs. Way over priced. Bathrooms were dirty. I most likely will not return.

Let me start by saying I have never, ever said«Lets go to Red Lobster» but I end up there more often than I want because of friends and family who want to eat there. Over the years I have seen the décor change but it still seems like a dank place. This location is the one I go to and there is nothing special about it. I went there with a coworker last week and the smell was so bad in there we almost turned around. It was like a backed up sewer smell. He always gets the crab alfredo and likes it. Yes, the cheddar biscuits are good. I end up getting a salad and sides and normally the salads are OK but the last couple of times the lettuce has been the white part of the iceberg and this last time the dressing was not on the side, it was poured onto it and so much it puddle on the bottom of the bowl. I have never left there thinking that was a good meal. The food just seems bla the wait staff does not go out of their way to give you good service. I am really not sure how this place stays in business as when I go there it is never busy and at lunch it is almost dead.

I arrived early on a Friday evening and we were seated right away. Our waitress, Katelyn, was very professional and timely. I started off with a Malibu Hurricane — one of their signature drinks, it has been on their menu forever — and it does not disappoint. The Caesar Salad was excellent(and I am very picky about salads). For dinner I ordered the Admirals Feast — another staple menu item that has been available for many years. Shrimp, scallops, clam strips, flounder, and a baked potato. Everything tasted great. My guest ordered a steak, rare. Given that this is a seafood restaurant I was a little worried about this, and the possible outcome. However, she reported that it was cooked perfectly. Solid 4-Star Rating!

I gotta believe it’s been a couple of years since my last visit to a Red Lobster but who can resist their AYCE Shrimp Fest and the spectacle of Kuanyu C pushing the envelope for that Shrimp Fest?! Well yeah, this Red Lobster is tucked away at Cary Crossroads and was pretty busy. Once our party showed up, we grabbed some crayons and headed over to the table. Service was efficient but not particularly professional, not a major problem. The starter cheddar biscuits are VERY good: fluffy, buttery with a nice bubbly cheese crust on top. My rum drink was pretty strong and laced with some sherbet, alcohol and dessert in one glass! But what about the food? I dove in on the Shrimp Fest but with no intent of matching plates with our heavy hitter. I downed the teriyaki shrimp, shrimp alfredo, shrimp parmesan and breaded shramp. About 10 to a plate, everything was tasteful but the shrimp were a touch small and a bit mushy. Highlights were the teriyaki shrimp with pilaf and the alfredo wasn’t bad at all. After all the calories, drink and biscuits it was time to say goodbye to Kuanyu who was still going strong on shrimp plate #13. And while I thought the meal at Red Lobster was ok, I probably won’t be back for a while. It’s just not my thang but if you like shramp and an easy meal, you could do worse than Red Lobster…
