We were very disappointed in all areas; the cleanliness, knowledge of wait staff and the quality and taste of the food. The brisket sandwich was loaded with fat as no one decided to take the time to trim the«nastiness»(good thing the top of the bun was removed first to add sauce before biting into it!) Flavor of brisket was blah… nothing special. When asking for recommendations, the Waitress told us the pulled pork and pulled chicken tasted the same! I ended up ordering the pulled chicken sandwich which had zero flavor. Just before leaving, my Husband decided to use the restroom and found it to be dirty including a clogged urinal and paper towels on the floor. Needless to say, we won’t be back!

I’ve been here several times since they reopened. I’ve always received great food and service. I especially like the manager, very nice and personable. Always a good time with great food!

Full rack of ribs served with collard greens cooked to perfection, mashed potatoes with gravy, cold slaw, fried okra, enough for two easily. Full bar.

I would describe RH& B as the Applebee’s of BBQ with consistently average food at any of their locations. Keeping my expectations low for a chain restaurant I cashed in on a Groupon to try out their newest location. First thing I noticed was their beer prices. Most bottles ranging from $ 3 – 4 with some of my old favorites that included Coors Light and Budweiser. Laugh all you want but sometimes a girl just wants a sliver bullet with her ribs. Don’t fret they also had a few local beers on draft if you don’t want to pretend it’s 2004. They were offering a full rack of ribs and 4 sides for $ 20, what the what! A LOT of food for the price as we took most of it home. We like ours dry rubbed and you can add one of 4 sauces on the table to dress them up. Above average ribs for the area that were large and meaty. The sides were hit and miss though. I love their potato salad but you must love red skinned potatoes with eggs to enjoy it. I’ve never meet a fry I didn’t like and the fried okra was standard. The real let down was the mac and cheese, tasted exactly like stouffer’s. If you are looking for some standard BBQ in a causal setting RH& B might do the trick. If you don’t mind counter service take the 1.9 miles up the road to City Barbeque where they serve better BBQ.

The nachos were a meal in themselves, then the platters were not only enough to feed multiple people they were also delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. We payed less than we would at most restaurants and took 4 boxes of food home.

I’ll admit it. I order salads from BBQ places. This time I ordered one that included both beef brisket and smoked pulled chicken. I was partially rewarded. The Smokehouse Salad included the brisket and pulled chicken on a bed of greens, corn, red onions, green peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes. It came with two mini cornbread muffins which were moist and tasty. The salad was quite good and I enjoyed the flavor of the smoked pulled chicken which was also juicy. However, the beef brisket was dry and tough. I grieved for the animal that lost it’s life to sit on my salad plate in this lifeless, flavorless state. Instead of wasting this animal sacrifice, I managed to cut through it, and dunked each bite into my bleu cheese dressing, completely covering the meat so that no trace of dryness remained. Overall, the service was very good and my salad was delicious, except for the beef brisket. If I do return, I’ll probably order the salad with a double portion of the smoked pulled chicken and hold the brisket.

We received an email from them saying they were having a special for two, a slab of ribs and four sides for $ 19.95. What a great deal! Well, we just couldn’t pass it up, plus we hadn’t been to their new local in Cary yet, so what a perfect opportunity! It’s situated in Wavery Place on the opposite side that it used to be at a few years ago. In fact, it’s right next to Cinebistro. The parking was a little tight because of so many people being at the movies. Anyway, when you enter the bar is in the front and there’s several high top tables you can eat at, but we choose the full dining area, which has two sections. We got a table by the window and could watch kids playing on the playground equipment who were having a heck of a time. Our ribs arrived not too long after we ordered. I forgot how big a slab of ribs are! You can order them dry or wet. We choose the later and you can pick what sauce you want too. The ribs were fall off the bone, tender and delicious! There was lots of mmm’s at our table for sure! The sides were excellent too and if you finish the slab and sides between two people it’s really a huge amount of food. Our waitress was very sweet, checked on us often and refilled our drinks as needed. It was all so good we’ve decided to come back on Valentine’s Day, which is the last day of this fantastic special! Yum!

We saw where Red Hot and Blue was having a rib special during the month of January. 19.99 for a full rack rib dinner for 2. What a deal !!! Our server was attentive and helpful explaining the different sauces. You get to choose 4 sides. We had the«wet» ribs and we choose — fries, hush puppies, cole slaw and bake beans. The ribs were good. Not the best I have ever had but they were decent. I am a lover of NC vinegar sauce. You won’t get that here !!! This is Memphis style. NO vinegar. The sides were good. Of all of them, the puppies and the fries were the best. We also got a few mini corn muffins that we weren’t expecting. It’s a great deal. Give them a try. Well worth the 19.99 price tag.

This is the third time we’ve visited since RH&B has reopened at Waverly. Each time the food gets increasingly worse. For what should have been a pulled pork platter, the pork was not the star attraction on the plate. A measly portion overpowered by 2 cups for sides; the pork was barely visible. Must have been an indicator when the wait staff presented all plates with the sides towards us; too ashamed to show the entrée? Pork was greasy, gray, and flavorless. This is NOT the RH&B that used to serve excellent Memphis BBQ. Don’t waste your time or money here.(The place won’t last unless it steps up and make a number of improvements.)

Horrible, dropped our food on the floor and then took 3 tries to cook my burger correctly, it was horrible. Manager never came over to apoligize or check on us, Wrote management with no response back. Guess they don’t care if the customers are happy or not. I would pass on this one!

Not impressed. Not what I expected at all. Mac & Cheese was terrible. It was runny and had no taste. The pulled pork sandwich was bland and really just gross. The restaurant was somewhat dirty, table was extremely sticky, window has chocolate milk splattered all over. Waitress was not helpful at all with the menu only came back once to check on us. Will not be back. Total waste of $ 35.00.

Yikes, just save your 35 bucks and keep walking. I had high hopes for this place, but it fell short in every area. The service and our server was below Par at best and she had very little knowledge of the menu other than it was Memphis BBQ. The table we sat at was sticky and the windows were filthy. With such a great location and beautiful view you think they would take advantage of that. The food was horrible. I had the Memphis BBQ pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and a side of fries. The pulled pork was dry and had no flavor and was really fatty. The baked beans were served in a cereal bowl,(over kill) however not everything was bad the fries were pretty tasty. Nothing great, I would pass on this place till it gets new ownership or a new menu. I give this place 6 months till the doors close.

Just ok. Edible. Wasn’t in mood for pulled pork so went with burger. Cheap frozen Bubba burger on lackluster bun. Burger thin and tasteless and dry. Won’t be back

Absolutely awful– so much so I felt compelled to download Unilocal app and write this review! I do t want another family to waste $ 30! Go to fresca café or tazikis instead! Service was horrible and food gross!

Nice to see them back in the area. For a quick lunch and under $ 10 i couldn’t ask for more. The BBQ sandwich, beans and slaw hit the spot. I’ll have to come back and sample more of the menu.

You would think the 3rd time for Red Hot and Blue in Waverly would be the charm but I think not. Food was awful. Period. Again. cannot give zero stars so I have to give them one. Went with a friend. We both ordered the«Chopped Salad.» My friends salad was to have pulled smoked chicken as described on the menu. I asked to have brisket in mine. Fail #1 No chicken in friends salad. Fail #2 I got brisket. lots of it. 8 slices? Serioulsy. I could not see the salad… It that bad you ask… yes. the meat was old… it could have been from the day before. who knows. it was dry and stiff. And it was not«chopped» I had to put in on a separate plate and cut it. How do you screw up a salad. ?! Save your $$. Red Hot and Blue will fail again in Waverly.

I had the bbq cheeseburger it was one of the best burgers I’ve had! Wife had the corn chowder and for someone who doesn’t like chowder it was amazing! Staff was great drink glasses were never empty and the waitress was always checking on us! She was also very friendly and answered all of our questions! Will definitely be back!

It is a chain of Memphis style bbq. It has a lot of that sugary bbq sauce. Just not my style. The décor is cool and it is a neat feel. You can get dry rub only. A ½ rack of ribs and two sides was $ 16.99. It was good food for what it was but I agree a local restaurant has better bbq and the price is cheaper.

I find this place to be pretty subpar. the prices are high the portions are good but the food quality doesn’t add up. I find better meals at a mom and pop joint.
