Jill’s Beach Luxury Tanning

This place is great. Extremely clean and the staff are so sweet. I prefer the beds over the spray tan. I know nowadays they say not to rub the spray in when you’re done but I think if you don’t even just a little bit, then it’s too uneven. Highly recommend.

It’s true they are always making recommendations, but its good advice and they are experts. With that being said, I rather enjoy hearing about their new products. It is not necessarily that they expect you to buy, yet I see it as their entire staff being well educated in the products they carry, which is a universally acknowledged demonstration of proper training and employee competence. When I first started going, I went at the same time on the same day and I got the same person each time. Because she knew so much, I mistook her for the owner. As I kept going, I found that they are all trained in that way. Thanks guys for keeping a great stock of lotions and other potions.
The staff and customer service alone would reward a 5 star rating for this place. They are so thoughtful and kind. Inside, it looks like what a futuristic tanning salon would look like to me back in the 90’s.
The sun angel, is Guaranteed to never burn you, regardless of it is your first time in the tanning bed. if you are WHITE as a ghost, it still won’ burn you.
The 500 is 12 mins and intense tanning. I have never had a richer brown than after getting in the 500. The 500 is not for new tanners.
Their unlimited FULL ACCESS plan allows you to get in any bed you want or spray tanned as often as you like for around $ 80 per month. Every time I call for an appointment, they find time that works for me.
The bathroom is elegant black and white, with pictures of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. I have been to some amazing salons across the country, but the customer service is unmatched to Jill’s Beach.

I had never gotten a spray tan before, but wanted to try it before a wedding in a couple months. I have tanned before but know it’s bad for me; however, I am VERY pale and was nervous to look unnatural/​orange from spray tanning. I found a spray tan groupon for Jill’s Beach so thought I;d try it.
Overall impression of spray tans — impressed! Jill’s Tan — pretty good. I heard they can go bad but they spray tan worked great, I don’t look unnatural and it was pretty even. They give tips to avoid streaks and provide lotion in the room. The machine is easy to use and quick — in and out in 20 minutes. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. they do try to upsell you, but to be expected at any tanning salon.
They definitely follow corporate policy to a tee and make no exceptions so don;t expect any accommodations or great deals; however, all-​in-​all, good experience. I am still nervous to try other spray tans that make be too dark/​too orange/​streaky, etc. so will stick with Jill’s Beach.

I just read some reviews on here and I can’t believe some of the self centered high maintenance people who think the world owes them everything reviews.
I am 51 years old male. I am a life long resident of this area. I remember the days when there were tons of tanning salon choices in this area.
I have watched tons of tanning salons in this area CLOSE down because they just don’t know how to do it right.
Jill’s Beach is doing it right. I have been tanning with them for a year now and I get EXACTLY what I pay for. When I leave the salon I am not taking home the individual personality I may or may not be getting along with so I just don’t get some of the reviews on here. I get along with everyone. I don’t expect any human to make me happy because happiness comes from within.
I am ALWAYS presented with a tanning room that is clean and stocked up with amenities. A fresh CLEAN towel, chair to sit on, spray deodorant to use when I get out to make sure I don’t mess up the clothes I came in with and a CLEAN tanning bed.
These people treat me right. They are truthful about the bulbs in each room and will ADJUST my session time ACCORDING to the life of the bulb. For instance, I prefer the standup 500… when they change the bulbs… my time is lowered due to the fact that the bulbs are stronger… and as the bulbs age they INCREASE the time I am allowed per session. That makes TOTAL since to me.
They obviously want my business because they offer me a tremendous discount to entice me to buy a new package every time my current one is about to expire .
The Tryon Road location is the one I frequent because it is close to my home and is in a GREAT location. There is a Jimmy Johns next door and a Starbucks next door and a Bruegger’s Bagels next door. Plus Walgreens, Harris Teeter, Ice Cream shop, several restaurants & even a dentist office.
It is a MODERN building and VERY CLEAN.
I don’t what else to say. If I treat a person with disrespect then how do you think people will treat me. Grow up.
Jill’s Beach has survived for a reason … because they do things right.

Never had an issue — their spray tans work great and don’t run.

This place is great! The facility is immaculate and beautifully decorated. They have the newest equipment for tanning and spray tanning as well and the best products as well. The ladies that work there are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have always enjoyed tanning and spraying here. I get amazing long-​lasting results and have been a customer since 2003 and won’t be stopping anytime soon!

The worst tanning salon I have ever been to. High pressure sales of products (every time you go in there) and rude and condescending «young girls» who have no idea how to treat people in a way that makes them want to come back.
I was treated so poorly that although I have 2 tans left — I would die before I walked into their place again.
