Great dark chocolate! Friendly staff that is very helpful and responsive. They go out of their way providing creative candy gift suggestions. Local 30+ year business with a wide variety of chocolates. Nothing better in the entire Triangle area.

The chocolate is AMAZING the owner and staff are extremely helpful. We got chocolate covered strawberries, a raffle basket, and candy for a fundraising from Chocolate Smiles. Everything was delicious and presented beautifully! I recommend this shop for any event you are planning as well as if you just want to stop in for some fresh upscale chocolates!

In town on business and needed to seek out maple fudge to ship my grandpa for his birthday. I found a few chocolate shops in a 20 mile radius, but this one was the only one that had maple fudge listed on their website. I called and the woman was a bit quiet, but she confirmed that they actually had just made maple fudge.
They are only open until 5pm, so I did have to leave work for this ‘errand’ and arrived there around 2pm. There were 2 other customers in the shop when I arrived, and the 2 women behind the counter seemed extremely friendly and were wrapping all the goodies being purchased.
When it was my turn I got ½ lb of fudge for grandpa, and a couple little goodies for myself. What a nice surprise that they wrapped (very nicely) for free, and had little cards in the shop as well — so I didn’t have to make another stop before shipping it out.
The ladies helping me could not have been any nicer. I would be more than happy to make the trek from RTP the next time I’m in the area and have a chocolate craving!

This place is the only chocolate store any where in the USA I’ve found that reminds me of home,
It has everything I want in a chocolate, taste, texture, variety, sweetness, everything.
I moved from Raleigh over 10 years ago, but chocolate smiles has catered to my needs throughout the country from East coast to West coast and bits in the middle I still
order from these guys everything arrives fresh and in perfect condition.

I googled chocolate shops in my local area and found Chocolate Smiles! They have been in business in downtown Cary since 1984. I had never been to the store before, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide variety of chocolates for sale there. My husband and I bought a good assortment of dark chocolates. You can only get some of the truffles in milk chocolate only, but that’s okay by me.
They carry gift items (mugs, ornaments, cups, etc.) to complement the chocolate goodies; local colleges are well represented!
Customer service is more than willing to help out and are very friendly. It was like going to my local candy store as a kid. We were given a sample of some fudge as well, which is excellent. Highly recommended. We will be back!

I like this little candy store. they have a lot of nick knacks, odd candies, and house made candy and fudge. the main downside is they don’t seem to be very busy but they have a ton of home made candy in the display cases. They said that they only make fudge at most once a week, it didn’t look fresh. its a cute little place though. they have a ton of different mugs with different sayings and interests on them, I’m assuming so you can make little candy mug packages for gifts.

A favorite chocolate shop of mine! I have sent as gifts to family and friends out of town and they make a must stop when they come here to visit. Everything is good but our absolute favorites are the salted caramels, pixies and chocolate covered macadamia nuts!

Cute store with many homemade treats. I love their experimental treats (like choco covered potato chips) and their strawberry fudge when it’s in season. Some of their regular, non-​edible items are a little overpriced but overall i think it’s a fun store!

I agree with everything Jane Y mentioned in her review :) It sounds like we have the same favorites there :)
I’ll also add that Chocolate Smiles is locally owned and they make their chocolates in-​house — sometimes when a fresh batch is ready from the kitchen, they’ll ask me if I’d like that instead of what is already behind the glass, which is nice.
I’ve been there several times, usually for special occasions (Valentine’s Day, Easter, kids’ birthdays, etc.).
It has a real nice «Mom and Pop» local feel to it, and they really will take the time to talk to you and give advice when you need it. They will never rush you.
You can pick out exactly what you want to fill your box, or you can get their sampler — it was a good way for me to figure out what I liked the first time I shopped there.
And I should say the first time I went there I accidentally pulled into the parking lot about 15 – 20 minutes before they were scheduled to open, and the lady was so gracious to let me go ahead on in anyway. That was really nice of her.
I found out about them through my massage therapists — on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day they do a cross-​promotion so I got a massage and a one-​pound box of chocolates for a special price. That’s now my annual gift to myself :)

This place is delicious! If only they had candied apples, I’d be in heaven.
Their truffles are smooth. Their nut clusters are not stingy on nuts. Their dark chocolate’s just divine! They have over 15 kinds of truffles plus sooo many other types of center filled chocolates. They also have chocolate dipped potato chips! AH so good. I really love their chocolate dipped pretzel sticks, the salty and the sweet. Also their sea salt caramels (they have dark and milk chocolate). SO GOOD. CAN’T BEAT IT.
They also have really good fudge. I’m not a fan of fudge, but the nice lady offered me some samples and they were YUMS.
The prices are very reasonable for gourmet house-​made chocolates. I think most chocolates are $ 15/​lb and truffles are $ 22ish? SO DELICIOUS. Sometimes I just stop by here before going home for 2 – 3 truffles.
Also, they have gift boxes and gift wrap for free. It’s a great place to get a delicious gift for a special someone.
They have a cute gift shop too. Nothing that really caught my eye, but I’m not a big «hallmark» shopper either.
