One of my favorite restaurants in the Triangle area. I’ve gone often enough that I’ve gotten to know the owner/operator family on a first-name basis. The food is somewhat limited(relatively to what Turkish cuisine offers), as they focus on kebabs and pide(something like pizza), but that focus is rewarded in excellent food. There’s really no bad thing on the menu, but the lentil soup, beyti, and pastrami pide are excellent. The service is high-quality, but maybe friendlier and more interactive than some people are used to; the wait staff don’t believe in being ghosts just silently moving around the place. I’d also warn people that even with the expansion, it can be pretty busy at peak dining times, so come off-peak or be patient!

Outstanding! We started with the tabouli which was remarkably fresh, as was the complementary Padi and olive oil. I had the lamb kabobs(only $ 9!) with bulgur pilaf and it was absolutely amazing, some of the best ever. The lamb was so tender and expertly cooked. The pilaf was much more flavorful than I anticipated but not so much as to overpower the delicacy of the lamb. Very laid back environment and really has a genuine Mediterranean feel. My partner had the falafel but wasn’t as impressed with her meal as I was with mine. We finished up with the baklava which was fantastic, and only $ 3 for two pieces!

This actually might be one of my favorite restaurants in the Raleigh area. We have a lot of good restaurants but when you take pricing, friendliness of staff, variety of the menu, and more importantly the delicious food… this might just win. I love their«pizzas» and they have great appetizers and dessert. The dipping sauce they give you at the beginning is really great too. Every time I come here I say how I need to go more often.

Its a little Gem of a place with gem of people running this. Finding a seat is a challenge day or night so I mostly end up doing takeout. If you can get through minor hurdle of wait time you are in for a delicious treat. Its stone’s throw for me and I always feel I can eat their food everyday. The place never disappoints and is consistently good. The place has family run feel. Highly recommend finishing the meal off with Baklava and a cup of Turkish Tea. And try not to polish off the bread with the seasoned olive oil they serve while you wait for your meal. Its a challenge! P.S — Best Kebob Platters in the area.

The beef shish kebab was awesome. We also tried their lentile soup and burek and those were good too.

Been coming here for years and the only reason I haven’t reviewed till now is I always seem to eat my food before I remember to take a picture, until now! This is hands down my favorite Turkish restaurant and even my Mediterranean style food restaurant. From their mezze sampler plater, cheese cigars, homemade bread, kabobs… it’s a family run place that has authentic Turkish taste and style. You can tell and taste the love and the passion they put into the food. My absolute favorite: the yogurt kabab plater with the kufta. Also their baklava is absolutely amazing! Keep up the great work and see you soon!!!

Haven’t had the food yet but the take out experience has been horrible. Pulled up take out menu, started to order off the takeout menu… «No, we don’t have that right now», okay then this, «No, we don’t have that anymore». Get into the restaurant, mention my concerns with this process. Get handed the menu, notice the permanent marker where things aren’t «there» anymore. Okay… Then I notice the prices. Significantly higher than on the takeout menu… «That’s our lunch menu», it’s doesn’t say anything about Lunch… And that’s how I paid ~$ 15 more than I expected to on dinner tonight. Should’ve stuck with Mexican for Cinco de Mayo.

I walked in and the staff was so welcoming, they made me feel right at home. I felt kind of rushed to order but I think it was because everyone that comes here is a regular and already knows what they want. So when I told the waiter that I wasn’t sure what I wanted, he took the time to describe some of his favorite dishes. I ended up ordering lamb kababs extra spicy but they came out sort of mediocre. I’ve had better white sauce and the lamb was not spicy at all. I ended up asking for spicy sauce which made the meal better. Please note that I enjoy spicy food and lots of flavor. Over all, the lamb and rice was delicious and the side salad was a good touch. Lastly, I enjoyed the bread and oil that came before the meal. The bread was warm and perfectly soft & the oil was just has perfect.

Came here for lunch with a friend for the first time. Decided on this place since I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. My friend ordered some Falafel and I wasn’t a big fan of it. The taste of parsley was very overwhelming. The bread that they bring out is pretty good. The chili oil that you sop up with the bread is very flavorful. I ordered the Lamb Shish Kabob and it was very good. It was first time eating Bulgur pilaf but I liked it. Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.

Amazing Turkish food. I’ve been multiple times, and I would definitely recommend the lentil soup(they purée it, so it’s smooth and not lumpy like some other lentil soups), which is the best I’ve ever tasted. Their house made pita bread goes very well with the soup. I would also recommend their kofta, which is very well seasoned. Their yogurt kabob is pretty good, although it doesn’t come with the bulgur, which is done well. I am not a fan of their chicken, though. For some reason places like these specialize in lamb/beef products and their poultry is usually more like a sidekick. Also, try to get entrees which mix the lamb and beef. When I got the lamb one time, it was too chewy and didn’t have a great texture. Overall, servers are friendly, food tastes good — you should give it a try!

This is me and my husband’s go to restaurant! It’s inexpensive, the food is delicious and fresh, and the staff is friendly! I love their baklava and lamb especially. Everything we’ve had there has been great. I cannot say enough good things about this place! The place is small and fills up quickly, so go now!

The lamb Kebob was one among the best lamb kebobs I’ve ever had. It was seasoned and cooked well. The lamb was tender without being too dry which was nice. My husband had the yogurt special platter and it definitely had a good flavor. Their drinks were good. I had the yogurt drink and loved it. The coffee is pretty strong if your thinking of trying it!

Their food is outstanding! Hand’s down, my favorite sit down Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant in the area. Every item I have tried has been superb. It makes me think of someone’s Turkish Grandparent back there whipping up home-cooked meals… actually, that may be true! Authentic & well rounded flavors– you can taste the love that goes into the food preparation. The first tastes you will enjoy are of the tomato pepper dipping oil and bread. You will eat far more than expected! You can’t go wrong with any of the main dishes. I particularly enjoy the combination plates. Don’t think about leaving without ordering the Baklava. It’s the best I’ve had anywhere. One order can be shared as it comes with 2 pieces and whipped cream. One other fun reason I love this place so much: its byob. That doesn’t happen too much around here, so go take advantage of that! The prices are reasonable and the staff are very welcoming and attentive. Check it out!

We ate here after a full day at the fair, which was our first mistake. We’d eaten fried junk food all day and needed something more substantial, and Bosphorus really delivered. The baba ganoush was really good, but the best part was the warm bread and dipping oil. The dipping oil had peppers and spices in it, and the pide bread(sort of like pita) was warm and soft. I ordered the spinach pide, which is essentially a huge piece of bread topped with sauteed spinach, peppers, onions, and feta. When I say«huge,» I mean that it was easily two small meals, and could definitely be shared as a light meal or appetizer. The only drawback is that there are very few vegetarian options on the dinner menu: only the spinach pide and feta pide, and some appetizers. The lunch menu has falafel sandwiches, for example; this sort of thing could be offered at dinner. Even though the food was excellent, I don’t know that I’ll return for dinner. I might come back for lunch, when there are more vegetarian options.

This place is overall awesome! The food is the best Mediterranean I have had in the area. The staff was friendly and attentive; a pleasure to be around. They can cater to small or large groups. If you have a party of more than four, you may want to call ahead for reservations as they fill up fast. They bring you bread that is fresh out of the oven with some delicious olive oil dip, that is oh so tasty. It did take a while for the food to come but it was worth the wait. It was hard to choose what to order, everything on the menu looked so good. I will warn you that depending on what you get, your plate may not be as filling. My dish was just a kabob and two sauces but I left satisfied. It just tasted so good and I had plenty of bread. We were seated and waited on but we had to go up to the register to pay.

I should have written this review earlier — not the easiest thing describing Turkish cuisine to people who don’t eat it often. If you like Greek and Mediterranean food, it’s worth giving Turkish a chance. And in Cary, one need not go further than Bosphorous. A friend and I arrived early in the evening(note: I advise you call ahead before going if you do not have a reservation — the restaurant is usually pretty busy), and I had the Beyti which was ground meat over flatbread with a spiced tomato sauce(as you can see in the picture). The herbs and seasonings they use are exquisite. I also ordered a Turkish soda(fruit essence — tasted like grape). A great little restaurant in Cary which could easily hold its own in Raleigh. For a different yet satisfying experience, give this place a try.
