Not sure what’s going on with the produce department but i went for a few things for dinner, two of the items being cherry tomatoes and garlic. Come to find out, both cherry tomatoes and the garlic were moldy!!! Never seen moldy garlic before. At first I was like eh, whatever stuff happens but then as I was making my salad afterwards, my cherry tomatoes were moldy too! So keep your eye on the fresh produce you buy, clearly someone is slacking on their job.

I love this Shaw’s — not just because of the natural foods and organic selection they carry (there were a lot of teas here that I couldn’t find at even places like Whole Foods!) but they have a wide variety of confections in their bakery that come out delicious, and their staff is fantastic. I’ve been to a lot of stores in the area and Shaw’s is usually just another chain store for me — just trying to make money — but this one in particular has very friendly staff, always very helpful, including when I was looking for very specific ingredients! They really went above and beyond, and they had a blast making silly faces at my 20 month old! The only downside, as I think has been mentioned before, is their produce section, and they tend to run out of certain things quickly. When they say they’re getting a shipment, I’ll return, and it’s already run out again, or they never received the shipment. That’s the only reason for the 4 stars!

They have a natural foods section that is pretty good, and they carry the So Delicious coconut ice cream — which I have to give bonus points for! But the produce section is seriously LACKING and quite depressing! There are so few choices for organic vegetables and absolutely NO organic fruit. What is organic is usually old and shriveled. I cannot count on Shaw’s when I am in quick need of fresh produce. The only thing I can buy there in terms of vegetables is the pre-​packaged organic lettuce. The staff is always friendly which is nice.

The staff here is always friendly and helpful, the aisles are wide and well-​stocked, and the prices are much better here than at any local competitors! Meat and produce are always fresh, and if they are close to going off, they’re on sale. All-​around awesome!
