I called dimensions for a last minute appointment because my 3 year old had cut her own hair and looked like… well you can guess what she looked like. They were very nice and fit us in an hour later. We walked in and were the only customers there. The stylist sat my daughter down and was very nice to her and trimmed up her hair. I asked her just to even everything out. So she didn’t shampoo, just spritzed with a spray bottle, trimmed, blew the hair off her cape, and 5 min later we were at the front desk ready to pay. I thought to myself that was quick and painless. That’s because the pain came at the register when I had to pay $ 36. Then there was a second more excruciating pain when I got home and actually looked at her hair. In the salon I had been distracted by my other two children and hadn’t looked at what had been done. I assumed the stylist had evened up the hair like I asked. She now has a wisp of bangs longer than the rest that constantly hangs down the middle of her forehead. She also has the left side of her hair at shoulder length and the right side at midback. I will add pictures because words don’t do it justice. I only give 2 stars because the staff was friendly but the prices and the quality of work are terrible.

Owner is rude and ignorant. Can’t see how she can run a business. Extremely disgusted. Will never deal with them again.

I can’t say enough about my experience At Dimensions with Linda. I am extremely fussy about my hair. I basically gave Linda complete control over my hair cut. She gave me a fabulous new style. Easy care and quick which is awesome because I’m always in a hurry. I have been struggling with dry hair for 3 years. I went to another hair dresser for 28 years and was happy for 25 years, but didn’t dare try another stylist. The last 3 years she could not solve my issues with dry and frizzy hair. I tried everything she suggested, but nothing worked. On top of that, the way she styled my hair started changing to the point where I couldn’t control it. Linda solved my dry hair in one visit. My new style is quick, stylish and easy to blow dry. 2 weeks later, I still have soft manageable hair. Linda accomplished in 1 day what my previous stylist couldn’t accomplish in 3 years. Linda also educated me on why my hair was dry, frizzy and unmanageable and provided me with all the information I needed to keep it that way. I also love the fact that Dimensions used all Natural products on my hair, nothing synthetic. I am a big fan of natural, biodegradable products. That was just an added plus. I have definitely found my new hair stylist. Also, the scalp message I received before she started was awesome!

I went to Dimensions as I liked a coworkers hair. BIGMISTAKE. I wanted platinum color hair and since Leanne has platinum hair figured«this will work out great» WRONG. She doesn’t know what she is doing. My hair came out a yellowish orange color and then after 2 stylists spent 2 hours trying to tone it, it was a weird champagne color… it was so horrible that I had to cut it all off into a pixie and then the owner Linda had the nerve to charge me to cut all my hair off. HORRIBLEEXPERIENCE.

I came to Dimensions for a Spa Week special(the 60 Min Fusion Stone Massage with Hair Blow-Out). I went with a friend on a Saturday(she was also getting the fusion massage). Dimensions is really cute – clean and comfortable, with friendly employees. Kim was my masseuse, and Leanne did my blow out. Both ladies were great; Kim gave a mean hot stone massage(my first!), and I came away feeling very relaxed. She asked about pressure, temperatures and scents, which I think made for a better, more personalized experience. Leanne made my hair look way better than I usually do with the blow out, though she didn’t use any product, which I liked. The spa area is small, so don’t be surprised if there is only one facialist/masseuse on hand at a time. My friend and I had appointments an hour apart, but there is a comfortable, separate waiting area for the spa that we hung out in in between! Also, I don’t think they allow you to tip on credit cards, so bring some cash with you. As an Aveda Concept Salon, you know you’ll be getting quality products. With a professional staff and a(seemingly) wide range of promotions, I’d definitely recommend Dimensions for all you south shore folks!

Today was my first visit to Dimensions. I am always on the look-out for new places and their website caught my eye for several reasons. First, they are an Aveda salon, so right away you know they are using quality products and observing certain standards. Next, the website features a video of the owner and I just liked how she came across. The website recommends hhat you«friend» them on Facebook, for up-to-the-minute info. I am an «internet» person and so I like to patronize businesses that make the most of their online presence. But all of that doesn’t matter if the service is sub-par, so the proof is in going. Because it was my first visit, there was a tour. I like that. If I go someplace for a service, I want to know what else they do. It’s an open design and the space flows well. You move from the retail in the front to the hair design, to the shampoo space. There is a separate room for nail services and another space entirely for spa services. All spaces feel accomodating. I have been places where rooms are too small and that’s uncomfortable. The treatment bed was comfortable and had heat & electric controls, so Kim could adjust it to suit me perfectly. I had a massage with the oil & aroma I wanted from a selection presented to me. It was followed by a facial and a bbody polish. My services weren’t rushed and were among the best I have recieved anywhere. It was a special, but it would have been worth it at the regular price. The prices were very reasonable and much better than you would pay in the city. My interactions with other staff were also pleasant. The overall atmosphere is very welcoming. I will absolutely be going back, I am a fan!

Love my color and cut! The team works so well together – color by one, cut by another, brow wax by a third… in addition to product discussions with yet another team member! I felt so pampered! Parking is a breeze; the salon is so clean and beautiful; Aveda products are abundant(with lots of testers to try!). If you’re stressed and bothered, Dimensions design & wellness studio is the perfect place to relax. The music in the salon is loudish(like it should be in that atmosphere) BUT step into the spa section – totally different world. Every bit of stress begins to melt as soon as you close the door to the spa. I wanted to try a lomi-lomi massage(Hawaiian)…maybe next time! Thank you Dimensions team!
