Kirkland’s King Eagle Diner

I can not express how glad I am that we came here for breakfast today! FINALLY, real food that tastes amazing with some different options than your typical diner fare. The breakfast quesadilla is my choice, though I’m confident that anything else you order would be equally as pleasant of an experience. The proportions of ingredients to cheese resulted in wedges of crispy filled tortilla that can actually be picked up to eat, and dipped in salsa without losing any of the abundant goodies inside. No soupy eggy mess here! The homefries were simple and delicious, and cooked perfectly. My husband got the breakfast taquito which came out as a warm, crisp, pressed breakfast wrap of sorts that disappeared before I could try any of it. I think it’s safe to say he loved it! Solid coffee that kept flowing was an added bonus. What a great start to our day! We will definitely be back to try some smoked chicken, or any of their lunch/​dinner items in the very near future.

The husband and I went for Sunday breakfast. Super friendly and hospitable. Food was awesome. We shared the breakfast quesadilla and a breakfast sandwich called Bobs .
Would much rather go here than a busy crowded Cracker Barrel !

We stopped by Saturday afternoon and the management was very friendly. It wasn’t busy, so we talked with the owner and he was very accommodating. They didn’t have BBQ smoking at the time, but made me a plate of pulled pork they had made the previous few days. My girlfriend got the buffalo chicken wrap and it seemed to be pressed in a panini maker (grilled perfectly). Everything was delicious. More than enough food, sweet potatoes were fabulous. My parents ordered breakfast and thought the same as well. We will definitely be back!

The service here was great and we felt very well taken care of. The specials for lunch looked so delicious that we were debating about returning for dinner. Everything was well priced and reasonable especially for the quality of food. Our food was great. Perfectly cooked sausage with a little crisp which I like and the potatoes were cooked perfectly (but could have used just a bit of seasoning). The stuffed French Toast was cooked well and the cream cheese filling was spectacular. The only qualm would be potentially coating the strawberries in sugar (or adding a bit more sugar to them) because it seemed like they lost a bit of their natural sweetness in the cooking process. Overall excellent, I hope this place does well and I will definitely be returning when I visit my hometown again!

Was looking for something local not so much a franchise like a Mickey D’s for lunch. Looked on Unilocal and found this place. So me and some co-​workers go in and the setting is unique in a GOOD way.
When you glance at the menu; you’ll notice that they have some pretty intriguing meals there! Our waiter was FANTASTIC! He has this very welcoming warm personality & an awesome sense of humor to match! Waitors like that are like the precious of metal. hard to come by.
The food was Fresh & delivered to our table in a very fast manner. I will definitely return to this establishment

Nearby on business and stopped in for breakfast. Only me and one other person there so the service was quick. As was the food. But it tasted like everything was heated up in a microwave so the food had that weird texture. Very Stucky’s like (do they still exist?). The owner (?) manager (?) seemed to be ranting about something political but I just put my earbuds in. Place has potential but I don’t think I’ll be back if work brings me back to the area.

Great breakfast, as usual. I’m sorry I’m moving soon and can’t come support this great family restaurant with delicious food, friendly staff, clean and inviting décor. Ask about the name and learn the story about it and the many significant items on display.

My husband and I just had breakfast there this morning. I had eaten there last month with a group of friends, and both times had a great breakfast. When I was there before I had the French Toast with home fries, and it was very yummy. Today my husband and I both had omelets (Veggie and Meat Lovers) both were cooked great and the American cheese (you have your choice of cheese) was melted perfectly inside. That is one of my pet peeves at places that don’t melt the cheese! The omelets came with home fries and choice of toast. All cooked very well.
We also shared some pancakes and they were nice and fluffy! Very good!
Will return for breakfast and hope to come to try out their lunch and dinner specials!

Friendly service with a smile! The our food was served fast and steaming hot! Everyhing was fresh, looked amazing and tasted as good as it smelled! We went for lunch but they serve breakfast for lunch too. The owner gave coupons for the next time we come.

Great Reuben’s! friendly service, clean and good food. If your near Carthage High School, it’s a great little diner.

This is a great diner. The staff are very friendly and the service is just as good. I had the meat omelette and it was delicious. Generous portion sizes, perfect balance of meat and cheese. If you are in the area it is worth checking out.

Not anywhere close to as good as I expected.
I larger groups of moms and some little a meet up for breakfast here on the first day of school. We were only one of 2 tables that had customers.
The first issue was the only have 2! highchairs in the whole restaurant! I had the hold my 17 month old the whole meal.
I ordered eggs Benedict and it was the worst one I have ever had. The English muffin was so tough I couldn’t even cut it with my knife. The hollandaise was on the side, they gave a soup bowl portion for some reason, it came out of a can and was inedible.
As a group we felt like their menu was very over priced since everything was a la cart. The service was pretty bad too. Never got a refill on my coffee or water.
We will not be returning.

I can’t give you guys enough stars! We drove out to Lowville from Drum and were very happy. The service was so sweet and friendly. And their food? Absolutely delicious. We immediately referred you to other people. Thank you for making our first experience so great. We will definitely be back!

I loved the food and atmosphere. The staff was very nice and accommodating of my small kids, who were tired and hungry. The meals are large and there are a lot of good choices! The cup of soup was huge! I know this place is usually only open for lunch and breakfast, but they are now open for dinner on Friday and Saturday also.
I ordered the Bacon, Mushroom and swiss burger with no bacon. It was awesome! My husband got the black and blue burger. He wasn’t a big fan, but had never had blue cheese so it may just be that he’s never had it before. The kids meals were good and come with applesauce along side the fries and main dish. My son actually ate all of his food and that almost never happens.
My only real issue was the cost. We spent as much here as we sometimes would at Red Lobster. However, we upgraded to fries for all 4 of us and had an appetizer. My husband also had soup added to his meal. There was a lot of food! We will go back, but we’ll pay closer attention to how much we are ordering. :)
