Very nice small winery and pretty tasting room. My friend, who has a much more sophisticated wine palate than I do had a very hard time deciding which of the wines to buy as she liked them all. I normally go more for the sweeter wines and although they did have a carlos and noble muscadine wines, neither were more than 2% sugar, these were not quite to my liking. It was still a nice visit.

My husband and I were visiting friends in Pinehurst recently and decided to stop by Black Rock Winery. They have a beautiful tasting room and amazing wines. Black Rock Vineyard is a small vinifera vineyard in the upper part of Moore County, NC. They are currently offering nine red varieties and five white varieties. Our favorites were the 2009 Chambourcin and the 2010 Chardonnay. It was great to taste some wines in NC that were not the typical sweet wines. The tasting fee is only $ 5.00 and is well worth it. Ronnie and his wife will make you feel right at home. What are you waiting for? Cheers!
