Im pissed! I came to this location and what do I get. A pinch of chicken and the rice is pasty. The food made me throw up, never coming back to this location ! Flame broiler used to have high standards appealing to the fitness and healthy community, now they up their food 2 dollars and their quality has significantly dropped. I hope it’s only this location that is like this…

I usually love their short rib plate, but it is kind of pricey & usually worth it. But, the last time I got food from here, I paid for extra meat & they gave me an extra 6-pieces of short rib bones basically instead. Not cool!

Started eating at Flame broiler a couple of years now. thought the food was very good along with the prices… Although the food is still good the prices have quickly raised!!! Also, we haven’t seen coupons in the mail… So today I decided to check online and found their facebook coupons. Printed the coupon(Free Bowl… with the purchase of a bowl and 2 drinks). presented the coupon at this location and was informed they no longer accept coupons per the owner. That’s why we don’t get them in the mail anymore… How sad that you would prefer to lose all my business verses make some money on overpriced food and drinks and accept a coupon that your company offers!!!

Chicken bowls are good but they are stingy with the chicken. I pay 7 bucks for a bowl of basically rice.

I come to this Flame Broiler about twice a month. Today, I placed a phone order. Done this many times. Fairly simple. A small chicken bowl with green onion and brown rice. When I arrived I was given a mini bowl. I notified the cashier that I did not order a mini bowl. I didn’t even know they had a mini bowl. This person then became argumentative stating I ordered a mini bowl. I again told this person that I did not order a mini bowl and if I could just have the regular bowl as originally ordered. The cashier made the correction as if I ruined her/his day and notified the person in the back. At this point the female cook in the back shouted«he ordered a mini bowl»! I’m really impressed how this person knew what I ordered since they were not on the phone or on a conference call that I was aware of. For the rest of my next few minutes while waiting for my food, the two staffers in the back stared me down the whole time with the female making another remark(in Spanish). I then had to carefully watch how they prepared my food in fear that they would sabotage it. I’ve heard stories. I typically do not expect to be treated as if I were eating at a 5 star restaurant, but this staff was very rude and was apparent to the other customers. What ever happened to «the customer is always right»? Needless to say, I will not come back. I only wanted to leave a review in hopes that management would try and change the way the staff treats future customers. If I was an owner or manager of this place, I would make this high priority.

Walked in and was getting my daughter settled in… In the back I heard a obnoxious laughing — the cooks in the back were giving us an unwelcome feeling, giving us dirty looks… I was disgusted. I have ordered from the Flame Broiler a few other times at other locations… I did not dare order at THIS place with the uncertainty that they can contaminate our food. Awful. Walked in. Walked out.

Ate here two days straight for lunch and the food quality is consistent. Their ribs plate are actually good and I tried their chicken bowl which is decent in size and taste. The price is actually cheap. It’s like a fast food place. Price would average from 7 to 10 dollars not bad. I would come here again if I’ll be eating healthy. Would recommend it as an alternative to fast food joint.

Food is good but the customer service SUCKS! I had to wait to place my order because the cashier was on the restaurant phone laughing during a personal call. Oh and she was texting at the same time, really? Then the cook got mad when a customer asked for more green onion, get your employees in line!

Well since I’m trying to eat healthier, this place is good for that. The food here is great I always get the works bowl it has a little bit of everything such as grilled chicken, angus beef, veggies and your choice of brown or white rice. I also like the fact that it has no MSG and no transfat.

Great food but they rush patrons out before 9pm closing time. A young heavy set girl was putting chairs up at 8:3pm and stared down some customers that were eating. She needs to be retrained and placed in a 90 day probation. Very rude

Came here on Friday, 09/05/2014 around 3:30. Used to come here often because it was healthier than fast food, but quick & delicious for a low price– chicken bowl + a drink for around $ 5. Haven’t been here in awhile & found they had made some changes I was a little disappointed about. We were not welcomed by the usual nice older, Asian man. There was a younger girl who was not very nice at all. I regret tipping her. They raised their chicken bowl prices & the girl didn’t offer me a drink like the man usually would. When I asked if we get drinks with our 2 bowls & pointed to the poster advertising that in the front, she rudely claimed that we needed to say«special» when we ordered our bowls, just as the poster says… Although the poster doesn’t even say«special». She ended up giving us 1 drink. Lastly, a lot of the chicken was burnt. Sad day. Won’t be coming back here.

Flame broiler has KIMCHEE now for like 2 bucks per small container. I usually get the half beef half chicken bowl with brown rice and vegetables as my post workout meal. Do not forget the hot sauce and KIMCHEE. This place is usually busy all the time. Parking lot is good, plenty of parking. Don’t go during lunch hour, takes foooorever obviously.

The cashier/owner is always in a bad mood. I’d rather take my business to the Torrance location.

The Chicken bowl with green onions was very light and good. I added some special sauce and sriracha hot sauce. Yummy. And comes with a soda too

I like the food here and at this chain in general, but they have some stupid new policy at this location… The store closes at 9PM, and you you come in at 8:40PM or later, you AREN’T ALLOWED to eat in the store, they essentially kick you out. What kind of horseshit is that? I’ll be letting Flame Broiler’s corporate offices know about this.

Flame Broiler: Carson rap/rhyme remix… It’s been a while since I typed up a freestyle rhyme. I apologize, I’ve been busy working on finally getting my damn Bachelor’s Degree from CSUDH this whole time! But I’m back on the grind, spitting… I mean TYPING… Unilocal reviews shitting out of my mind. Today’s review remix is on The Flame Broiler: Carson Edition! Carson’s famous for having people like Brandy, Forrest Whitaker, Quentin Tarantino and The Boo-Yah Tribe, I should mention… up & comers who kick it and/or lived it here from Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Bishop Lamont and a past Filipino Mayor who screwed the city over and lied. But back to my review… Flame Broiler’s the best because the food’s grilled and so damn healthy. You can buy a chicken bowl and drink meal for around 6 bucks, it don’t matter if you’re poor, middle class, rich or wealthy. If you want an awesome melon boba smoothie afterwards, hit up the Blenders near by and ask for my lil’ cousin named«Geli». Flame Broiler’s mixed plate will fill you up, minus an over-gultenous belly. El Pollo and Yoshinoya’s looking at this place all jelly. because it’s the new kid on the block, cause these plates and bowls got«The Right Stuff». Sorry for the throw-back pop reference during a so-called rap review. Maybe it would be better if I typed about bitches, psuedo riches and making money selling powdered white stuff. I recently tried the no-rice, chicken veggie bowl… with Magic Sauce and a little bit of their version of Tapatio or Tabasco. Tasted everything on the menu to where I’m an Animaniac for it, call me Dot, Wacko and Yakko! It don’t matter if you’re White, Filipino, Mexican or even Black though… you’ll love this place and it’s food… for reals, this review and my pictures doesn’t serve any kind of justice, but after 1 real taste, the food here will have you coming back though.

Flame Broiler gets a woot woot from me! Until today I had never even heard of this small chain, but my trusty Unilocal app helped me locate this location as I was driving to Lomita off the 110. I was in an especially cranky mood because I had just tried to eat at Union Pizza(no slices!) and El Amigo(not open) and Chicken Maison(not open too), so needless to say I was starving by the time we pulled up. First off, I love the menu’s easy flow and organization. Even the questions posted ‘Brown rice or white rice?’ ‘Green onions or not?’ ‘Take out or for here?’ are such an efficient way to speed up ordering and also help new customers like me get what I really want because I have the tendency to always forget to ask for brown rice. The prices are really reasonable, the service was helpful and the employees were constantly cleaning when there was no line, and the ambience was quaint with a slightly modern touch. Small place but it was pretty empty when we went because it was Sunday late afternoon. Anyway, I had the Works Bowl(white meat chicken and beef with veggies and brown rice) for $ 6.45. Yo, that bowl was packed — definitely worth the $. But more than that, the chicken and beef were both tasty and tender, the brown rice was cooked just right, and I appreciate that the cabbage was slightly crisp. Special sauce/teriyaki sauce is available at the counter — loved how I could choose how much sauce I wanted on my food — too many places overdo it. I liked their iced tea selection too and lots of fountain and can soda/tea selection. So happy to have found this place — and over the moon happy that they have locations closer to me too!
