A small, unassuming restaurant in a strip mall that packs a lot of flavor. I believe that it was once a Mexican restaurant and now recently changed to Salvadoran food. I finally decided to drop by seeing that it was new. I ordered 5 pupusas that were $ 2.25 each. I came for the pupusas and they were incredible: freshly made, hot, and fully loaded with cheese that stretches and steams when you pull it apart. Not only are they generous with the amount inside of ingredients inside the pupusas but they also give an ample amount of curtido(El Salvadorean cabbage salad) and salsa with your order in small plastic baggies. I would come back here again if I’m ever in the mood for Salvadoran food.

I really wanted to try this pupuseria after seeing how close to my house it is. Even though it only has a few reviews, it had me feeling like it could possibly replace my usual spot! The pupusas are not bad. Made to order, I had 2 revueltas and 1 queso con calabaza. They’re pretty big and thin, but not stingy with the filling. The calabaza con queso was mostly cheese, but again, it wasn’t bad. Everything was just okay, including the curtido and salsa de tomate. I did like that the salsa de tomate wasn’t too watery and actually stayed on my pupusas. The horchata tasted really sweet and a bit chocolatey… a little different than other salvadoran horchatas I’ve tasted. I wasn’t really a fan. Cashier was a friendly guy and all of the other menu items looked really good too, but I would probably only come back when I don’t feel like driving the extra mile to el chero.

Small, family owned restaurant located in Carson serving delicious Salvadorian food. They might be a small restaurant, but they are not lacking when it comes to flavor and quality. One of the best pupusas I’ve ever had. The pupusas comes out still steaming hot, fresh. The cheese just waiting to ooze out. The Ruvuelta Pupusa –filled with cheese, chicarron and beans –in just the right proportion. The size is bigger than normal, so two is just perfect for me. The cabbage slaw was crispy, fresh. The hot sauce was also great. I also ordered the Yucca and Chicarron. The chicarron was very crispy, seasoned well. The yucca was cooked just right. Just perfect. The service was excellent, friendly. The restaurant very clean. And very moderately priced. Well definitely come back again.

The way the man adds up the total ain’t right most of the times you have to correct him most of the time his math sucks… lol prices have gone up and to pricy for me. Will not go again

This review is for the PASTELES De CARNE. Omgggg it’s amazingggg. It taste like your mother made it with love. So crispy and so deliciously confusing. I didn’t expect it to taste so good. Love love love, don’t mind the small space that doesn’t have A/C just order and eat it outside. Crank up your cars A/C and enjoy the food!!!

Las pupusas revueltas estan sabrosas y los precios son rasonables. Si vuelvo a comer en este lugar. We love pupusas and decided to give this new place a try and to support our local business. Revueltas were yummy and the prices just right. Will eat here again.

Went back today 5÷25÷15& I’m disappointed. The sweet corn tamales were either heated up in some dirty water or maybe with meat tamales of some sort as they taste weird & the ‘corn’ atole is missing corn. Not happy today will think about going back… but who knows.

This review is mainly based on the FOOD… My favorite was the cheese and jalapeño pupusa… the restaurant itself is hot(No AC) and a bit depressing. sorry to say. but the food was very flavorful. freshly made pupusa which I appreciate. .family owned business they are still getting used to the register. Unfortunately we sat there and were slowly melting into our seats… we will return again but will ask for it «to go». Very yummy pupusa and their«ensalada drink» very refreshing on a hot day.

The food is soooo good! This little restaurant is located in a small strip mall. It’s changed ownership quite a few times, but always Mexican food, now it’s Salvadoran food and it’s amazing! I’d seen this place a few times but today was the day my husband and I decided to try it out. Don’t let its appearance fool you, the food is extremely fresh and it’s all made to order. We decided to try out a few things. We ordered Pupusas Revueltas(cheese, pork, and beans), Pupusas de Loroco y Queso(cheese and loroco flower), Chicharron con Yuca(fried pork with fried yuca), and Pastelitos de Carne(fried beef empanadas). It was all incredibly delicious. The pupusas were big and fat, no skimping here. The Chicharron con Yuca was so tasty and they serve a lot. The Pastelitos de Carne was so crunchy and the filling tastes just right. I can’t complain, it was all on point… And super affordable(a heck of a lot cheaper than any of the neighboring Salvadoran restaurants). We paid about $ 27 for four pupusas, plate of chicharron con yuca, pastelitos de carne(qty. 3), a large Salvadoran horchata, and two glass bottle cokes. You can’t beat that! We’re definitely coming back here!
