Closed and replaced by coin-operated car rides. There is also a $ 3/ride train. Big disappointment for us because we thought there would be an indoor playground.

Great place to take your little one to play indoors. You can have a seat and surf the web on your smartphone or tablet, while your child run amuck. They can jump, climb and slide all over this place! It’s better than the one at Del Amo and Galleria. Those malls only have ‘pay for’ rides. Bring your toddler here when you run out of spots to go, they’ll love you for it.

what a lifesaver for rainy days. gymboree requires a membership. chuck E cheese requires tokens. my daughter is not coordinated enough for raquetball. yet. enter… the Play Town at Southbay Pavilion. gotta love Google. type«indoor playground» or «mall play areas» or any combination of them and you’ll get little tidbits of this place. i’m glad i’m the first to write it up. yay me! parking was a cinch even on this weekend after Christmas. located closest to Sears, this enclosed kids play area is amazing. i had recently seen one at a mall halfway across the country and was glad to find this place so close. well, 13 miles closer at least. the space covers about half the width of the part of the mall that its in. there are stationary plastic figures that the kids jump on, in, out, through etc. there is a big giant structure in the center that has a climby thing and a slidy thing where the kids can go in and out of. there’s another slidy thing at the standing plastic fire truck. a shoe rack located at the entrance allows the kids a spot to drop off their shoes so as to be more free. also, there is only one entrance/exit which makes it easy to keep track of your kids since there’s no other way out. the surrounding wall, which stands about 3 feet tall, is padded to allow for maximum shock absorption of a 2 ½ year old’s face when running into at 10mplh. brilliant. seats for parents dot those walls too. lots of kids running all over this place. age ranges from what seemed like 10(i think a little too old) down to 18mos. make sure your kid(s) can walk so they can move out of the way of their falling and flailing peers. this place is awesome, it is incredible and, like i mentioned, a lifesaver on rainy days. we’ll definitely be back.
