This place absolutely sucks. Service is incredibly slow and anyone interested in hearing blasting black sabbath for hours? Not me.

Stopped by Phantom Carriage on the way home from a golf outing with my dad. When you pull up to the place, you’re going to be a little skeptical, it looks like a big warehouse, and you’ll think you’re at the wrong address… but you’re not! Right when you walk in, you’ll know this place is kickass! They keep the lights off and a really cool creepy/halloween haunted house vibe around the whole place. They have separate rooms throughout the warehouse that offer slightly different experiences, and they have great beers on draft. The staff was super friendly, and I can’t wait to go back!

Service is amazing. Be sure to sit at the bar. House beers rock and the food is equally as good. Had the beef brisket sandwich — a little dry but perfectly paired with the side of au jus, chips, and a pickle spear. Today I had: cellar blend #7, coconut Dolores, and dogfish fort. 10⁄10!

This place is simply AWESOME. The brewery is located in the«nomansland» Goodyear Blimp side of Carson on Main Street. If you’re at all familiar with the area you know there’s not much there in terms of anything … period. The outside looks like just another trucking warehouse, but once inside you’re transported to a dark oasis of great beer and good eats. You can order at the bar under the sign that says, «Order Here.» There are plenty of spaces to sit. There are two side rooms, one of them has horror movies playing constantly from your modern horror-flick to the Twilight Zone classics. They also feature other local beers from Gardena and Inglewood. Parking is available on the street and in the lot in the back.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for drinks. This is a little bit hidden– the door is on the side of the building. Parking is limited. There may be 15 parking spots at most. The sell bottles from other breweries as well, but it is only for on site consumption only. Ambiance: pretty causal and dark. As some have already mentioned, the brewery has little lighting, but I do think they adjust the lighting if people ask because it did it a bit brighter after a while. If you walk outside after the brewery during the daytime, you’ll be blinded by the sun! They also play rock music to keep their«dark» theme going. Venue: There is a lot of seating available and also have their own kitchen. Something that distinguishes them from other breweries is their«phantom theatre.» For those of you who want better lighting, there is a room called«barrel guild» that seems to have more lighting. They have two signs that says you can«order here,» but from what I saw, there was only one side actually ringing up the people. Beers: +Cellar Blend– a BBA golden ale, high in alcohol content without being too strong of a taste. So be careful! +Muis(pronounced as «mouse») — I think this is their flagship sour. A must try if you come here. It isn’t as tart as other sours I have tried +Broadacre with strawberry– I really enjoyed this one. It is pretty tart which I love! I’m not sure if I can really taste the cherry but I like it! +Broadacre with tart cherry– I really enjoyed this one as well. It isn’t as tart as the strawberry, but it’s still pretty good. +Analee– this is a pretty light and easy to drink beer. Sad that they ran out of pint glasses… That happened twice already! Overall, it is a very chill place to come grab great beers and food!

When you pull up it looks a little on big building parking lot in the back, but when you walk in there is a serious wow factor. Very interesting décor, almost gothic or just in time for Halloween. The beers were great but the food was ok hence the 3 stars. Possibly a good place for happy hour.

2nd time here and love it. If loud pop music and«wooooo» girls ain’t your thing and looking for something different this is the place to be The décor is based off of horror Movies so I personally love the vibe here. They have a wide selection that changes up a lot too with their own beers and with local beers from other places. My favorites here are the Dolores, wit zombie and the Citra. If you want to come have a good time or just swing in for a drink with a friend gotta come here !

Great staff and an excellent selection of beers. Their sour beers at great. If they don’t make what u like they also host a selection of guest beers from different breweries. Giant projector showing horror movies. Looks like you’re going to get robbed when you drive into the parking lot. No big deal

I will preface this review by saying while I’ve been to scores of breweries, I am not a fan of sours, which this brewery seemed to highlight. The atmosphere of this place was strange — very dark with little lighting. It had a Halloween theme, which was done well, but not my style. The beer list was not updated when we were there so when we asked for tasters of certain beers they were unavailable. After tasting the beers that we did order, we were okay with that we didn’t have to try the others. There was little flavor offered in the beers we ordered other than the sour taste, which wasn’t super strong either. I wanted to like this place but it just wasn’t my scene or style of beer to enjoy.

I’ve been to Phantom Carriage a few times now, and it’s definitely blown up and gotten a lot more packed than before. Saturday nights expect a little competition for tables/seats. My friends and I of six huddled over one small table meant for four max. The spot’s really easy to miss. Especially driving by at night. There isn’t a big flashy sign but a small one you might be able to find if you squint. There is a parking lot down the alley in the back if you get lucky to find a spot. If not there’s plenty of street parking too. You’ll love this place if you like sour beer and death metal. How those two things ended up to fit under one platform I don’t know but Phantom Carriage has it. The death metal music kinda scares me but the sour beer is enough to keep me around, and they have a lot to choose from too. Their food isn’t bad either. Try their pulled pork sandwich!

Food is fantastic. My husband has the smoked turkey. I had the brisket. I’ve lived in the south… And this brisket was on point!!! Only reason it’s not a 5 star is for personal preferences. We’re both not big sour beer fans. But if you are… Come here! If you’re not sour beer fans, come here anyhow for a killer sandwich! Job well done!

The one star decrease is a matter of personal opinion and is representative of my personal experience. All subjective, no objective. As a taproom, this place is not my cup of tea. It’s dark, and somewhat sinister, I know many of my friends who would love this spot, just not me. Having said that, the experience they sell, and the beers they brew here are top notch. I had the opportunity to taste their batch number 2, a sour that they age in their barrels that has a nice hint of raspberry and a whole lotta funk. They also have a great taplist made up of guest breweries. Drive slowly or you might miss this spot, but do be aware that this will not be your typical drinking experience. My only advice is to come check this spot out for yourself, you’ll get a better idea of the picture I’m trying to paint(or is it scribe)

Broadacres, and its multiple variations, is a must-taste for those who crave a great sour beer. The brewery is located in the middle of an industrial park, easily missed if you’re driving by(especially if there’s a beer bus parked in front of their lawn blocking their sign), but definitely worth checking out. There’s a parking lot to the rear of the building, and you can park on the street as well. It’s suuuper dark inside the brewery but it’s pretty large with a separate theater room and tons of high top tables. Service was great, and while they do serve food, we didn’t try any. Place all of your orders at the bar, and they’ll bring out your food to you. Tasters are more than affordable, but there’s a limit of 3 per person at a time. They also sell certain bottles in the fridge at the corner of the bar, which are just $ 13 each. Solid stop for beer if you’re in the area!

Cool, hidden brewery in the City of Carson, just outside the lines of Torrance. We made our way here for an evening to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. Just grabbed a few beers and found some seats. The place still had their Halloween decorations out, or is it suppose to be the theme of the place? I’m not too sure. Men had the Blondie, and it was quite refreshing. Ladies had the Wild Sangria, just the right amount to get you light headed. We tried the Pumpkin beers they had: Pumple Drumkin — light and fresh, not too much pimpkin flavor Fall Hornin’ — got that pumpkin spiciness to it Pumpkin IPA — too dark IPA for me Pumpkin Ale — light hint of pumpkin, my favorite They serve food as well. Rock music in the background. Not much parking in the lot, but plenty in the street. Very dark, but cool atomsphere.

Visited the brewery on Friday evening after work and was happy that the place was relatively quiet, although as the evening drew closer, the place definitely got busier. The brewery is very spacious and while I was a little worried from the other reviews that it would be this heavy metal/loud brewery, it wasn’t at all! The brewery offers rotating beers($ 6~$ 8) on tap as well as a wide variety bottled beers and wines that you can purchase and drink at the brewery. Highlights: — Horchata Almond Milk Stout: If you like stouts, I would recommend getting this beer! Not as creamy as some stouts, but the flavors were all there! — Stone go to IPA w/Lemon Peel & Vanilla Bean: I rarely like IPA’s and the only other IPA that I have ever liked is the Dogfish 90minute IPA, but this one was just as amazing with the floral and citrus smells! We had ordered the hummus, labneh cheese and phantom phritos, but they were all not that memorable. However, given that it is a brewery, my expectations for food are not high to begin with. Aside from the food, the drinks are amazing and as they constantly have new beers to try, I will defiintely be back again!

Second trip ever. Chill for Sunday lunch. No four-top tables in the main room and two-top tables are bolted to the floor and cannot be combined. I guess they really don’t want people moving the tables around, but this makes things really tight for a family of four. Ordered everything from the bartender, who was very pleasant. I think I had some of the house beers last time, but went with guest taps this time. With the exception of the 11.1% Cushing, all of the house beers all seemed very light today. No pints available. House was $ 6 and guest taps were $ 7 for a 12 oz. pours. On a per-oz basis, this multiplies out to $ 8 and $ 9.33 if they were 16 oz pints. That’s just too damn expensive for a beer. Some of the house beers were only available in frustratingly-small 3 oz pours. I think they have limited production, but this is a bit silly. This time I tried the food. $ 6 Bavarian Pretzel was warm and good with two tasty dipping sauces. ‘Shroom sandwich was delicious, smoky and a bit spicy. House pickled vegetables on side were great. Wife liked her pulled pork. Don’t worry about overeating, as with the beers, the sandwiches are on the small side as well. I can take or leave the horror film theme. I think this place isn’t really for me. Fortunately, the Torrance craft scene is robust and there is something for everyone.
