What a beauty. Our 1920’s Ivers & Pond from David has been an outstanding investment. He is a fabulous craftsmen and knowledge of pianos is beyond anyone we met in Reno searching for a used piano. He will only sell and do quality work. He is no high frills fancy shop but his passion and heart shine when you start talking pianos. It’s worth the drive to find a piano from hi and he will completely restore, deliver and tune your piano. We are beyond thankful to have worked with him! You are awesome David!!!

Had David move my piano from one house to the next. Couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Personable, professional & quick. No complaints whatsoever.

Made an appointment for David to come to the house and look at my grandmother’s upright piano. The door bell rang 5 minutes early which is nice for a change. Seems like everyone else you have come over to your house for a service all these days is always late, but David was early. David took a good look at the piano and starts playing a few keys and ya, I know it’s out of tune and needs some wood work. Okay, how much? He gave me a number and was $ 275UNDER the price he quoted! Now the piano not only sounds great, it looks wonderful and I know my grandmother would be so happy to see it looking and sounding so grand! Seems like some of the other Unilocalers have an axe to grind. I dont understand why? My experience was pleasant and he is a very easy going guy. One thing for sure, David is 110% honest! The ivory keys were the same, all except the one he replaced which was chipped by my older brother when we were kids. I have no problem recommending David’s Piano Service to anyone!

Brought my Chickering in for refurbishing. David told me up front it would take awhile and I could see he had quite a backlog of pianos to repair. I wasn’t in a hurry so I agreed. Well after awhile I changed my mind and decided I didn’t want to refurbish the piano but would rather trade for a newer one that more closely fit what I was looking for. David was more than accommodating and I feel he gave me a fair trade value. I can’t speak to the experiences the other three reviewers on here as of today have had but as for their comments about his demeanor, I think they may have just not understood him. David is a unique cat that’s for sure but in my experience most people who do good work in specialized areas like this are. It takes a unique person to be good at it and from the work I’ve seen of his, he certainly is good. Definitely worth my business and I’d recommend him to anyone.

I scheduled an appointment with David and he failed to show up. After waiting around for an hour I decided to call him. He answered sounding very groggy and when I reminded him about our appointment, he just said«oops.» When I told him it was ok and that I was just going to have someone else come out, he hung up on me.

Beware! Perhaps the most frustrating experience I have ever had in my life. I have a 1918 Steinway grand which I had David help move and tune. He said the keyboard needed work. He had it for about 3 weeks. When he returned it the ivory keys were mysteriously missing and replaced with plastic keys. The keyboard had never been out of the piano beforehand(since I owned it). Furthermore, the crappy plastic keys that he put on where put on shoddily and it cost over a thousand dollars to put them on right(minus the ivory — as the ivory is cannot be replaced).
