This gas station is close to my house so I go there a lot. It’s crowded, dirty, and hard to get in and out. The employees are generally friendly and check out is usually prompt. This place needs a complete overhaul to get rid of the dank feeling and somehow improve traffic flow. I feel like I’m close to having a collision every time I’m there.

This place has a serious problem with panhandlers and vagrants. I would discourage anyone from coming here after nightfall. They will sometimes approach you from behind, with no warning-it can be quite intimidating. I’ve gotten diesel here at least 100 times, and I do not think there has ever been one time in which I have not been approached by at least one panhandler. I won’t even go in the store, because there are usually panhandlers waiting at the entrance. The only reason I come to this location is that it has diesel for my my car and there aren’t many diesel options in the Carrollton area. Unlike most RaceTracs I’ve been to, the place is not clean. Nice RaceTracs regularly clean the diesel pumps including the surrounding ground. They don’t allow panhandlers or vagrants, they fill the washer fluid for the window-washing squeegees, etc. Not here. The squeegees are usually damaged in some way and the fluid is always filthy. The footprint for this location is unusually small. There is almost never enough room to maneuver around and there are many near fender-benders every time I come for a fill-up… it’s just not a safe place for pedestrians, in my opinion. This particular location really puts a blight on the RaceTrac name. Were it not for the cheap diesel, I my vehicle would never darken their driveway. They only have 2 diesel pumps — on opposite sides of the place. Very frustrating to get to one. The last time I was there, I was busy pumping diesel when I vagrant suddenly slipped between me and the pumps and was nauseatingly and uncomfortably close to my face — asking if I wanted to buy some pictures. I couldn’t understand him and he so startled me, I jumped back 2 feet and he moved closer to me. I kept asking him what he wanted and he was barely intelligible. The woman at the pump next to me witnessed this exchange as she was putting her gas pump into her car — and quickly pulled it out, jumped into her car and drove off. This is a free country and people have a right to sell things — but this is private property — RaceTrac needs to keep this type of element off their property — it seriously is scaring away customers.

I walked over to get breakfast while my car was being serviced. Hot dogs and juice. Can’t go wrong.

This is what I call a ghetto Racetrac; a standard RT crammed into a small-footprint quicky stop shop. Grungy, grimy windows, half-eaten hot dog discovered on the roller lines; hit-n-almost-ran in the parking lot. The crew tends to be jaded and more interested in being elsewhere. Very small storefront, with two banks of coffee and soda dispensers. Occasionally my favorite bottle drinks tend to be out of stock here(DP and DCWL). While the fuel prices tend to be some of the cheapest in the area, it’s almost never worth the wait because there are way too few stations and the lot is terribly small. Add the fact that this location faces a very busy Beltline Rd intersection and the wait to get out of the lot is almost as bad as getting in.

This place is close to the glass shop that I work for. It is always busy. The employees are nice. I go here for the fountain Brisk raspberry tea. It’s great.
