A good friend of mine suggested that we go to M&J’s to eat some good home cooking. It was everything I expected and then some. Definitely a hole in the wall but in a good way. Service was great! My server was sweet and pleasant to be around. Now onto the food everything was delicious. I had to hold back or else I would’ve exploded haha. I’m going back tomorrow matter of fact because there menu changes daily. What a great find!

I am so glad I came here. It may not look like much on the outside, but man this place is wonderful. They offer an all you can eat buffet with free tea or coffee for $ 8(including tax)! And the food is amazing. To be fair, I’m not from the south, but this was delicious. Fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, the most wonderful chicken and dumpling soup, cornbread, sweet potatoes, salad, pecan pie, cobbler are just some of what’s offered. I wish I was larger so I could eat more! If you’re looking for a place with high quality food, a great price, and incredibly friendly staff, this is it.

Across the street and down a ways is a Ryan’s. You’ll spend three times as much on a meal if you would here. The food has always been pretty good it’s a little hole in the wall– the tea is always the bomb! I think it’s had the same staff since they first opened. It can sometimes be a little too relaxed but if I’m not mistaken you can get a meal and a tea less than $ 8. the food is all you can eat.

Grease, grease and more grease. I think everything here was deep fried.

Small, quaint country buffet for less than eight bucks. Wait staff is nice and attentive. The food is fantastic, not overly salted or loaded with Msg.

First time visiting today and we’ll be back. For $ 8 you get all you can eat salad, main and dessert buffet, and it includes coffee or tea. The fried chicken was very good and the meatloaf was the best I’ve had at a buffet place. Fried green tomatoes were also excellent. Most everything else was at least good. Mac & cheese was disappointing(soggy noodles) but it was a great value and it had really nice people.

The environment is not the best– the fried fish was fresh and was constantly being brought out. The salad was not the best, the macaroni and cheese was ok. The customer service is great– you get a small town feel. If you want to so go in and grab a bite and a very reasonable price with decent food then this is the place.

First of all, they have the sweetest servers ever. This is a real bonafide country setting where people call you sweetheart, hunny bun, angel cake, sweetie pie and all kinds of sweet southern endearments. At first, I felt awkward since their crowd is definitely on the country side, and as a lone asian girl eating up their good country food yummies, but all was forgotten once I began to dig in … Fried chicken liver is de-lish. Their fried chicken is de-lish although I must admit that they are not quite the country fried chicken that I am looking for. However, that white gravy WITH the chicken was a match made in heaven! Yum! Mashed potatoes tasted surprisingly home made, but the brown gravy was quite suspicious … it tasted a bit like instant gravy. I tried their cole slaw which was also good, but not anything I was impressed about. The mac and cheese was too soft and cheaply made for my taste and the corn did not live up to my expectations as well. $ 8 including tax and sweet tea. I wish I could have had the option to opt out of the tea and not pay for it, but it was a flat $ 8 regardless if you want a drink or not. So, plus a $ 2 tip, it was a $ 10 bill for lunch just for me, and although it is acceptable, I was not to thrilled about it either. Then again, there arent that many options out here. All in all, I enjoyed the food and the service. I highly recommend for you to give it a try.

I’m not generally a fan of country food or buffets, but they have really good food! Everything tasted fresh, and the staff was very friendly. I’ll definitely be returning.

My best friend and I have been eating at M & J’s twice a week or more since they opened a few years ago. They recently increased their price to $ 8 which includes iced tea or coffee and tax. The buffet is quite ample and varies slightly from day to day for variety. Fried chicken is always a featured entrée, greens vary… either collards or turnip greens. Salad bar regulars are potato salad, macaroni salad, and coleslaw, along with fresh seasonal fruits – oranges, grapes, watermelon & even fresh pineapple. Soups and stews also vary, with chicken ‘n dumplings available on Sundays and once or twice a week. It is usually quite good. Desserts regularly feature 2 different kinds of pies, banana pudding and soft-serve ice cream. This is unquestionably the best country buffet in West Georgia.

I eat at M & J’s about once a week. Some of their vegetables could use a little extra spice, but their fried chicken in some of the best in Carrollton. Service is great too.

We recently ate at M&J’s for the first time and I loved it! If you like country cooking this is the place for you. They had fried chicken that was delicious, fried fish, hushpuppies, boiled cabbage, butter beans, cornbread, rolls, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, mac & cheese, salad, pecan pie, peach cobbler, strawberry cobbler and more. I will definitely be going back. It was only $ 6.99 all you can eat, so it was definitely worth the price. Much better than going to Ryan’s.
