Love the food and the drinks! It has been one of my faves since college! I generally get the teriyaki bowls, and they are great! Love the sangria as well! It is just a clean restaurant with great offerings and we will definitely continue going.

Little Hawaiian was just what we needed being able to walk right across the street from Marriott Courtyard. We sat at the bar which has great character with a lot of different bar lighting. We split a bowl of the Hawaiian soup that has chicken, shrimp, and noodles in a chicken broth. It’s was so good and the bowl was huge and plenty for both of us, especially with the yummy rolls you get as an appetizer. I highly recommend this Little Hawaiian!

I have been going to Little Hawaiian since their grand opening in their previous location. It is still my favorite restaurant in Carrollton. The fish specials are always a fantastic choice, the she crab soup gives just the right amount of creamy comfort on a cold day, and my classic favorite is the tuna sashimi appetizer. The pineapple bread pudding is absolutely to die for to finish of your meal on a sweet note. This is a must-try place in Carrollton. It has all the sophistication of an Atlantan restaurant and consistently surpasses any seafood restaurants I have been to.

While waiting to seat, we overhear a manager yelling at two employees for training in a non-training area? We were seated and bread was given quickly. However, it was awkward without something to drink. About 7 minutes later, our real waiter came by shortly to fix it. He was very pleasant. Not sure if he was supposed to be our waiter, as he saw we didn’t have drinks and wanted to amend the situation. The complimentary bread was really good. For apps I got the fried onions and an early bird shrimp. Both excellent! The Chicken Alfredo was not so good. The chicken was very thin and without flavor. The sauce was lacking in flavor too. I’m not an expert in pasta, but it was very bland. I would equate the flavor of the sauce to something like the froth/foam of warm milk, bland. It wasn’t nice. My gf’s dish was very over flavored with sesame oil. I tried it as she told me so. I agreed, and told her she could take it home and add more rice to balance it. The place was packed(Friday night). They must be doing well. Maybe we ordered the wrong items?

Meal started out top notch and then went downhill. This is a very weird review for me to write, because the meal started with such potential. When they brought the bread, I had to text my husband that the bread was fantastic. It has a hint of sweetness and I could have eaten five more rolls. Then I got the soup of the day which was a corn and something chowder. The reason I can’t remember what else was in it was because there was no chunks of anything. However, it tasted like they use real cream and it was superb. At this point I was screaming five stars in my head. Then it went downhill. I ordered the spinach salad with grilled shrimp. At first it came with no shrimp, which was no big deal. When it came back I was still surprised. There were only 5 pieces of shrimp(maybe 6). It looked like all they did was add a skewer of shrimp. And they were tiny pieces. The salad was basically a giant plate of spinach. If I didn’t pay the crazy amount for that little shrimp, it would have been all green, with specks of croutons and the fried egg white. I’m not quite sure why it was an egg white and not an egg. I think the yolk could have added something. I basically ate the little bit of topping and left the rest of the spinach. After that disappointment, I wanted to give them a second chance. I decided I would get dessert. I ordered the crème brûlée. Another disappointment. It was too heavy and the bowl was too deep. I’ve had crème brûlée from some fantastic french restaurants, so I’m a little more critical than most. I ended up just skimming the burnt sugar on top and eating that. However, it did come with a coconut macaroon that was very good. Therefore, I think some of dishes here are just hit or miss. Also, since I was here for work, I was dining by myself. Usually waiters realize that when someone is alone to be a little more quick with dishes or getting things. This is because I have nothing to distract me from the wait. Not in this case. I sat… and I sat… and I sat. I asked for the check while I got the crème brûlée, because I was afraid my waiter would disappear again and I’d never see him. However, I heard the waitress for the table next to me and she was fantastic. Again, a hit or miss scenario. So there you go, choose wisely if you want a good meal.

Ok, I had to write this because I kept reading other reviews that are IMO not fair. My husband and I eat here a lot, we’re locals. We’ve been eating their food for almost 10 years and have never been disappointed. This place is always busy, service is great, the owner and his wife are very nice and so friendly. Drinks are great as well as the desserts. We have tried everything on the menu from the salads, to their fresh seafood specials and food is always great. It’s one of the best restaurants in Carrollton. So, if you have not tried it out yet and your in the area please do so. :-) Oh yeah, their Hawaiian meatloaf is «Da bomb»!

My husband and I got all dressed up to come to this restaurant. It smelled SO good! We were kindly greeted when we came in. I have a SEVERE latex allergy so I must ask everywhere we go(big pain in the rear) what kind of gloves they use. I was told that it was latex gloves that they use. I was so disappointed because I’d really like to eat here. Maybe one day they’ll change what kind they use, until then I’ll enjoy the smells.

Based on all the great reviews, we had to try this place out. I tried the Thai Wahoo. The sauce was great as was the veggies, but… unfortunately, the Wahoo was very fishy. I’d never tried that type of fish before, so maybe it’s normally fishy, but this was much more than I’m used to. I literally couldn’t eat it. The server apologized and brought me a menu to select something else. I ordered a spicy, chicken noodle dish, which was decent. Meanwhile, my wife ate her shrimp while I was waiting for my menu and re-order to be cooked. When the manager brought out my meal, she apologized. My wife had been finished with her meal for quite a while. Of course I wasn’t charged for the Wahoo, and I’m not out for a free meal, but I expected even a little token of apology such as a cocktail or dessert or something. We got nothing.

Food is very good. I just wish they would add some quality wines to complement the dishes.

Great place for carrollton. Affordable, great prices for lunch, great customer service, nice casual atmosphere. Not super impressed with some dishes like their fried fish or salmon but others are on point(their noodle bowls). Have had a good experience each time I’ve come.

Boring Shrimp Scampi. No flavor at all. Tiny crabckes… more cake than crab. Vegetables overcooked. Nice atmosphere. Excellent wait staff. But the food was awful.

The menu is extensive and everything looks delicious. I always have a hard time deciding what to order because it all looks so good. I have made the 45 minute drive several times because I want to try it all. Unfortunately, the last few times I have been, the service has been awful. I am not fussy about service, and as a server myself I can be pretty forgiving but also can’t help but be observant. Our server was on a very large party, and continued to be sat with tables, while our service continued to get worse. My meal was disappointing, with soggy, stuck together rice noodles. Because it seems that the kitchen is amazing and the menu is put together by someone who obviously has great taste, and frankly because of the price points, I do expect better. It is also because of those reasons that I probably will return and try again.

I took my 10 year old son here for dinner when we were staying a couple of days close by at Banning Mills. Cute place for a nice dinner. We had the swordfish special with bacon pesto & sugar snap peas & a side salad. Although we didn’t have drinks, their cocktail menu looked amazing! My son is a connoisseur of Crème Brulee, so we had to try it & it passed his test. It was really really yummy! Service was great. Attentive, but not fussy. We would definitely go back.

Outstanding food and great service! I was in Carrollton with a colleague for business, and another colleague flew in to work nearby. After looking at several of the great choices in Carrollton I picked Little Hawaiian. I picked correctly. If I had to some something negative — it would be that there were too many amazing choices on the menu — not to mention the specials list. Great drink selection. It has some old time Tiki Drinks, and some modern updates of the classics. Well made and presented drinks(who doesn’t love a drink with fruit and an umbrella garnish). We started by sharing the PuPu platter. Which is for 4 to 6 folks to share. The 3 of us didn’t leave a crumb. The tuna sashimi was the standout! Very well presented. I had the Kahuna Pork Chop — which I dubbed the big Kahuna. Outstanding. Perfectly cooked, amazing sauce, and a huge 16oz portion. The Jasmine rice was a nice balance to the richness of the pork and subtle oregano garlic sauce. We also ordered a few extra side dishes to share(as if we didn’t already order enough food). The green beans were perfectly cooked, fresh and crisp. the Jalapeño chips were a revelation. And believe it or not, we managed dessert. One of the best crème brulees I’ve ever had. The chocolate cake was rich and decadent. And the coconut bread pudding was spectacular. Our server Victor was friendly, efficient, and full of helpful recommendations! If I’m ever back in this area I will be making a repeat visit.

The Tempura shrimp appitizer and the lemon pepper okra were fabulous. We normally visit this establishment in the evening but today we did lunch. I usually get the Beef and Broccoli. Sad to say the rice was soggy, broccoli was over cooked and the dish was overloaded with teriyaki sauce. Do to my Asian heritage I know a delicious Asian dish. If I order the Beef and Broccoli again it will be in the evening because that is when I usually order this dish and have always been very pleased with the perfectly steamed rice, crunchy broccoli and the perfect amount of sauce. I’m so glad I filled up on the appitizer because my main dish wasn’t appitizing! :(
