Had a great Thursday evening dinner at JB Chop House once again. Very nice and contentious waitress. Had the specials and very pleased. Look forward to more evenings at JB Chop House.

Was hesitant due to the other reviews, but the food was a nice surprise! The pulled pork burger was cooked just the way I had ordered it — medium rare. I had talked to the cook before we ordered and asked if they seasoned the meat before cooking. They do :) It was a good chunk of meat with lots of pulled pork as a topping — quite delicious. Had to send the pork chop back as the knife was having a time trying to cut into it. The second chop was perfectly done and tender.(I like juicy pork chops). Salad, applesauce, and potato skins were tasty, even if the skins were a bit overcooked. The salad was not out of a bag and had the proper chill. My non-sweet tea was perfectly steeped — nice and dark. Make sure you get Kaitlin to wait on you. She is a people person and an outstanding server! I am pretty stingy with five stars, but this place is out in the woods and gives you a sense of going back in time to the old days. Great ambiance, nice babbling brook, and a bit of history in a large old converted house. Lots to see while your eating and even more to see around the property when you feel taking a walk afterward. Great for a date, a small meeting, or a group of motorcycle riders out in the sticks.

Terrible experience. We specifically made reservations for the first floor due to physical limitations of our elderly ladies. Upon arrival we were informed that we would be on the second floor. It took them 10 minutes to rectify the situation and find suitable seating. One member of our party ordered a hamburger without the bun explaining she was gluten intolerant. It arrived with the bun, and the waitress’s excuse was the kitchen doesn’t read the orders very well. She suggest to simply remove the bun. Another member ordered soup and salad, but the soup never arrived though it showed up on the bill. I had the cranberry chicken salad. Bob Evans version is much tastier. I ordered raspberry ice tea from the menu. They were out and it was only 12:00. The dessert tray consisted of cheesecake. Why do you call it a dessert tray if there is only one choice? The waitresses carried money in their apron since there was no cash register. Isn’t that a health code violation?

We stopped by while in the Atwood area for a meal. It’s a little hard to find a good meal in the area. If you are in the mood for farm fresh country cooking, this is it. I was seriously impressed. I got two huge pork chops, two fresh sides, a side salad and bread for $ 15. The pork chops were the best I have ever had — thick, tender, juicy and perfectly charred. My brother got a breaded chicken dish that was just as good. Also, the venue is great. It’s an old cute farm house that is in great condition. The service was also great. This is a must if you are in the area. We will go again.

Had to go up to Carrolton for a football game and figured we’d Unilocal a place to eat. This restaurant seemed kind of cool sounding but wasnt too sure what to expect? I already felt more comfortable after making reservations. The person on the phone was really nice and said she would set us up with a table on the deck. We drove into Carrolton and followed the directions from a GPS. It took us off some obscure road and eventually to an entrance surrounded by pine trees. As u drive up this one lane entrance you are greeted by an old farmhouse on a hill with a waterfall and a great view of the grove below. Then they set us up on the deck upstairs to take in this awesome view. They are known for steaks and barbecue so I got the ribs with their JB Chops sauce. They had a homemade applebutter option for the ribs that I really wanted to try but didnt pull the trigger. My dad got the buttermilk battered chicken. Both of our meals were delicious! Had to try the homemade peach cobbler to top it off. This place is worth the drive. Check it out sometime.

It would be nice if we got some water, bread, butter to go with our bread, gravy to go with our mashed potato, slices of bacon to go with our bacon burger, salad, the right beer, the right soup, the apple sauce that we ordered, our broccoli, aju and horseradish to go with the prime rib. The service was absolutely horrible.

Delicious! Everything from appetizers to dessert was wonderful. Try the prime rib and stuffed peppers!
