Down On Main Street

The food very good waitress very a relaxing evening after a long drive. Will come back what a gem good brews to Wouldn’t hesitate to bring family in there tooo

Went two nights in a row, selection is standard fare, but it was done great! Especially the French fries! Burgers were good, pasta too. The cheesecake and apple pie were over the top. Only weakness was the cabernet, would get beer instead. Servers each night were prompt, friendly, and fun. Great price.

Carrollton, KY does not have a wide array of outstanding restaurants. Down on Main Street is probably the best of the bunch. The food is OK, nothing special but better than at some other places nearby. They offer steaks, chicken, hamburgers, barbecued ribs, and salads. Pretty typical food. The ribs were OK but derived most of their flavor from the sauce, not from the cooking. Mashed potatoes were OK, and the green beans were pretty good with a touch of ham for seasoning.
If nothing else, the location is good: a storefront location on the Ohio River. It is not a large restaurant, but not too small either. Service was pretty good, with no long waits, so there are no complaints on that score.
In summary, a decent place but not a place you’ll kick yourself for missing all these years.

The food was okay; the steak was apparently hand cut, but not well, thick on one end and thin on the other, so it was raw on one end and over cooked on the other. It tasted good after the «threw it back on the grill» for a couple minutes (apparently the plate too as it was hotter than the steak). The white cheddar Mac and Cheese came out of a box; the chicken tortilla soup was good, but it came out with my entrée, based on the temperature I guess the cook put it out 1^st and the waitress let it sit until my entrée was ready
The waitress didn’t know what beers they had and neglected the to put the beer I did have on the bill. She delivered the bill quickly, so instead of having a second beer I moved on down the street.

Usually very good food, always cold drinks. Hours are a little strange. Like going there for a burger and beer. Onion straws are awesome here. Owner is very hands on and involved which is really nice.

Not a bad place to eat, they are rather expensive for the amount of food you get though. I took a buddy there after his girlfriend left him for another guy and he drank a ton of tequila. As I helped him into his house he told me that they had great Patron.
