Right inside a favorite restaurant, we got some terrific stickers here. Excellent Korean bookshop.

I think if your expectations are right, this place is awesome! If you are expecting an American mom-and-pop bookstore experience, you will be disappointed. If you are expecting a bookstore you’d see in a Korean city, this is the place you must visit. Every time I’ve gone, there are two ladies that greet me with a friend smile and a hello. They are very helpful when you are trying to find a particular book or order them to be delivered to the store. If you are a member, you get a discount with every purchase. I used to live in Reno, which was hundreds of miles from any Korean bookstores. Having Book Nara so close to where I live now is a blessing.

Korean books anyone? If not Korean then you are definitely going to feel out of place here. It is quite a small store but also very pricey and if you are not looking for Korean related books then you honestly just should not even go here. I do give it two stars because the books they do have are really organized and the store itself is really clean and pleasant to browse.

I’ve been in here twice. Both times I was given«Fork Service» where they literally can’t get their mind aruond the fact there is a white girl who reads, writes, and speaks Korean. They try and drive me off, saying«What can I help you with, you know we only have Korean book» and then harrass me the entire time I’m in there. SERIOUSLY. DOESITNOTCROSSYOURMINDFORONESECONDSOMEOFUSAREWELLEDUCATEDFROMLA??? Seriously rude here. Seriously. I won’t go in there again cause they seem to really hate when I go in there.

Although I’m not very good with reading/writing in Korean, I love to visit Dallas Book Nara and browse through their collection.(I definitely have to brush on my Korean skills hehe) They have so many different books and magazines, I spend a good hour there every time I go. They also have a great Children’s section with tons of books/magazines for them and a cute area to sit down and read. Right as you walk in, they have complimentary coffee to your right. The ladies at the counter greet you right away with a smile and you’re ready to browse! My friend told me that they sell the Korean alphabet stickers for your computer so I definitely had to check them out — they have such cute ones!!! And around that area they have other really cute gifts like stickers for your computer mouse, cell phone ornaments, etc. My favorite is looking through the Korean fashion magazines. They are kind of pricey, but they always come with a small gift and they’re very interesting. Every now and then I’ll get myself one so I can sit there and look through the pictures — and of course, try to read the various articles(which can take me a very long time, hehe)…It’s definitely a great place to stop by after a good meal at Omi, the Tofu Soup restaurant, or the food court at Hmart… after you eat so much you gotta walk around and exercise right? And why not at a bookstore by walking around AND exercising your brain with a book? :) (btw: this bookstore is right next to Omi — you gotta walk through the first set of doors and then the next door to your right goes to the bookstore).
