The croissants are the best I’ve had in the city. Maybe the best croissant outside of Paris. Warning: after you have these croissants you will be corrupted and won’t want another run of the mill croissant again. Also, the espresso is smooth. This café is top notch. It’s a tiny spot with only three tables or so, but it’s cozy and the owner is friendly.

Just checked this place out today. I graben vegetable soup plus pastrami sandwich for lunch and everything was delicious and fresh. I also want to give great praise to great costumer service and super friendly atmosphere.

I love this cute coffee shop in my neighborhood. Phil the owner is very personable and their mocha cappuccinos are amazing. The coffee cake is my favorite yummy baked good.

Best sandwich I’ve had in months. Rivals Frankie’s BLT. Yes that good. Turkey Aioli Cucumber.

Phil’s pastries and sandwiches are great. I’ve tried a couple different sandos-the bacon, egg, cheese on a seeded bun and the chorizo with slaw. His croissants, savory scones and breads, and muffins are all amazing. Moist, buttery, and fresh. I’ve taste his chili and it was delectable as well. I’ve been meaning to order it. He has a light roast or a dark roast coffee, which is a great option. The red eye is right on, too. Great lil shop in Carroll Gardens. Two thumbs up, for sure.

Phil makes the best scones I’ve ever had. I don’t even like scones and I freaking love these scones. The Chorizo Parmesan one changed my life. Coffee here is also really good.

Hands down the BESTCROISSANTS(buttery and crackly), light as air scones, and other amazing pastries and coffee in the city. So glad after 20+ years in the city, I have finally found the perfect coffee shop in my own neighborhood!

This pint-sized café is a true neighborhood gem! The espresso drinks and house-made baked goods always hit the spot and are served up with a smile by the delightful staff, and occasionally, the owner. Great for picking up a cappuccino on the way to the train, or having a seat outside on a lazy Sunday. Definitely try one of the muffins or bread puddings while you’re there!

What an awesome hole-in-the-wall coffee shop right in Carroll Gardens! If you want quality coffee south of Bergen then Smith Canteen us usually you’re only option. This is a great option for work mornings or if you just want a red eye without all the fuss. They have a nice selection of muffins and scones that are all cooked in-house too.

Great expresso decaf and best croissant I have had in US. Buttery, crunchy, & light. Highly recommend giving this hole in the wall a try. I had to wait while they made me the decaf fresh, but it was well worth it. If you order decaf, give yourself an extra 5 – 10 minutes. Best taste bar none.

I’m so glad this(tiny) coffee spot is on my way to the subway. The coffee is fantastic(the«Leigh’s Brew» is my favorite) and the owner, Phil,(formerly a chef at some of NYC’s best restaurants) makes delicious muffins, breads, financier’s, etc. Many of his creations are unique(captain crunch scones; blueberry and bacon bread which has a bread pudding taste to it), and many more. I’ve also had the pulled pork sandwich(yum!), and BBQ chicken wings(a Super Bowl special). The staff is friendly and will remember your order if you are a creature of habit. There isn’t much seating — room for 3 at the counter — but I hear they are rearranging the space to add some high top tables.

Great little coffee shop located a block from the F/G train. SOL has two strong and flavorful house blends available as well as excellent homemade pastries and sandwiches. The owner and staff are friendly. Definitely the best of the 3 coffee houses in the surrounding few blocks.

Finally got the chance to stop in for a quick bite to eat. I had the pulled pork and it was amazing! I also had a piece of the bread pudding and it was so good. I am a fan!!! This place may be small but it is packed with good flavors, great atmosphere and lovely workers. It will definitely be a new spot for me.

For a new business this place is okay. They sale different pastries and teas and cookies. The prices are reasonable and the owner seems not nice or irritated. Customer service is okay. But I will come back.

Outstanding in every way — great coffee, friendly faces and to die for baked goods! I’m selfishly hoping the place stays a secret because it won’t be long until there’s a line out the door. Looking forward to tasting the lunch selections. Love this place!

The best choice in the area for your morning lattes or cortados, on the way to the Carroll F train stop. It’s a tiny, cozy espresso nook, like an Italian coffee bar. Pedlar and Blue Bottle are just too far. Also. the treats are baked on(the tiny) premises. Big shout out to the blueberry muffins; not your normal oily mushroom shaped anchor, but light and lovely, like you might see in a cloth lined basket on a southern cookbook cover from 1950. If you try one you’ll see what I mean.

This is seriously the most adorable coffee shop… ever. It’s tiny… about the size of a shoebox. I’m not sure when they opened, but I walk down Court Street to work every day and didn’t notice them until yesterday(12⁄19). Guessing they’re brand new. I stopped in for a cup of coffee this morning. The staff had that giddy, newly-opened-shop attitude about them. Super friendly. A small coffee was $ 2, and it was good! Much better than the caffeine water they brew across the street at Brooklyn Bread. I didn’t try any of the noms but they’re next on my list. Solid coffee a block and a half away. I’m in.
