Epic. Having just surfed overhead Rincon I was on the hunt for a cheap motel to get back in the water early in the morning. I’m not from here. After mapping a cluster of motels down the road I drove by this spot and it felt like a good decision to stop in for a beer. Seeing a bar full of happy people drinking tall cans kicks off the experience in the right gear. The beer is cold, real cold. The first supporting factor to this place being legit. The music was nice. Old school Mexican tunes. Soon one of the local mentioned to the bartender how sad the current son was and how he loved it so. I took his word for or acknowledging that most of my Spanish comprehension was, and is, bullshit. Without skipping a beat the bartender casually turned the volume from a 3 or 4 straight to 11. We then enjoyed the next 5 to 7 sounds with ½ the bar singing word for word and the other ½ whistling, loudly. The kind of whistle some people are just lucky enough to be born with. One last note. NFL playoffs are playing at he current moment in many many bars across America. This upper crust establishment, naturally, had the foresight and understanding that their main TV is of better use showing a rerun of the Barcelona game. If your in Carpentaria, come here and have a beer. If your from Carpentaria and this is your spot, thank you.

I came to this bar last night planning on ubering home to Santa Barbara. My phone went dead so The bartender graciously plugged in my phone to charge. Unfortunately she didn’t plug in the other end. When she gave it back to me it was still dead. I asked her to call me a cab and she told me to use Über. I told her that I can’t use Über because my phone was dead. She said there are no cabs in Carpinteria, and she wouldn’t even know how to find one. I asked her to look one up, And she refused. I said Seriously? You won’t call me a cab? And she said nope. I walked to another bar down the street and they graciously called me a cab. I’m certainly glad I wasn’t drunk and needed a cab, that may not have turned out so well

The little spot is super cute, there’s so much to do if you want to get together with a few friends. The bartender is kind and patient when you get a little too drunk ;) I wish it was open a little later

If a bartender feels she needs to take peoples shit to get customers to come in, she is going to get angry people that aren’t going to want to step foot in that dive! Our group rode by on Friday night but decided to go to The Palms. Higher class of folks. The guys in our group rode by yesterday and the bartender took our friends hat(one he just bought the night before) saying they had to go back to get it. She first asked for his drivers license, a legal document. But tpok his hat in stead. If that is what she needs to do to make aure people will step foot in that nansty place… she just made a bunch of folks angry. Stay clear of here.

This is a great bar. Plenty of good beer, friendly staff and pool tables. Also, my boyfriend left his credit card in a drunken rush out the door. The barkeep locked it in the cash register over night until we came back the next day. Very cool. Way to take care of the customer! If you are looking for a spot to unwind, this is a good place to start.

Awesome, fun, friendly place. The people, beer, atmosphere are just perfect for this little beach town.

If you happen to find yourself in Carpinteria, chances are it isn’t because you are there to experience the epic nightlife. On the contrary, this sleepy little town hugging the coast south of Santa Barbara is filled with quaint shops, mom n pops, and perhaps best known for it’s always-busy state beach park. Still, this pub is a pretty good spot– lots of table games, pretty good beer selection, and generally mellow dive bar folks within. The Unilocal coupon for 50% off the first drink is a nice touch when you check in. I put it back in the tip though. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but when in Rome, … Drink beer locally.

I love this place. They have a ton of games: pool, ping pong, beer pong, golden tee, etc. They don’t serve hard liquor though so everyone goes to the old folks home down the street. Do yourself and carp a solid and stop by this awesome dive bar.

Below average pub, but drinks aren’t too expensive and hours are later than most of every other establishment in Carpinteria! There are Ping Pong and Pool tables as well as a standard bar top :)

As a tourist, I am amazed at how early carp seems to shut down, even in the summer. It seems like the pub is one of only two establishments open late. While this place is not as nice or crowded, I love it. Apparently the locals do to because I always feel like the only tourist in it. There was a variety of ways to entertain yourself, including pingpong and pool. The beer selection was also very good. Surprisingly good for such an unpopular place. They don’t serve liquor though so women are a rare sighting here.

Decent locals pub in Carp. They only serve wine and beer, FYI(so if you’re looking for a cocktail head to Sly’s, the Palms or the BW). They have some flat screen’s for watching sports, a few billiards tables, and a ping pong table. Extra brownie points to them for allowing beer pong(and they even provide the cups and balls)! Not too shabby :)

Such a cute little pub in charming Carpinteria!!! My girl friend lives walking distance so we stumbled over for some late night ping pong and beer! They had a great deal going on that night it was 2 $ Shock Tops! I was sold by that! I dominated at some ping pong and watched my friends play pool! It’s family runned and owned and had such a welcoming presence! Very fun place to go and kick back!
