This store is, as best I can tell, gone. It was great while it lasted. Got some really great records here (Peter Green — End of the Game for 10 bucks!). Had cool 60s décor for sale too. Called the shop next door and they said he closed up a few months back.

Part of carpentersvilles best block, right by egor’s and the bike shop. This place is great. So much vinyl! Please go there and support our wonderful local businesses with entrepreneur super troopers that will treat you like one in a million.
I agree with the other two reviews, that this is the best place in the area to buy vinyl. Everything else near here is going to be way more expensive.

West Dundee, IL
One of the best, and last, actual vinyl record stores you will find especially in this area. You can not find any thing like this until you get into the City and there you have to pay the extra tax. Save some money and enjoy a trip to Main St. in Old Town Carpentersville and a shopping day at Shooting Stars Records.
Also check out the great Main St. Bicycles next door and the Tobacco shop «Igors,» down below the record store. Igors has been there for 30 years!
**Well, if you did not go, you missed out. Shooting Stars has moved to Fort Wayne, IN. If you are ever in Fort Wayne, IN look them up they are on Wells St. very close to the downtown area.
