Julie was a lifesaver. I work in construction and a couple years back I had a really bad Charlie horse in my hip that would not go away. I went on Unilocal to find a good massage therapist to help me. After a couple sessions with Julie it was gone. There are a lot of massage therapists in the area. I have had other massages from other therapist some try to hurt you and they say it is good for you and some just rub and don’t really know what they’re doing. I really feel that she truly knows the right pressure and about muscles. I would definitely recommend her and her staff.

I absolutely love Fox River Spa! Julie’s energy is so positive and is present throughout the Spa and her staff! Best massage therapist I’ve ever been to as well! Lisa is amazing with make-​up, facials and waxing! Everyone is super friendly and professional

Love the Fox River Spa and salon; they treat me so well and their services are top! My one-​two combo each month is Paula for a deep tissue massage and Lisa for eyelashes!

I’ve been going to Fox River Spa and Salon since just after it opened. I’ve never had such great service and fantastic looking hair. I also love that it is a full spa and can get a massage or nails done if needed. They are great with kids and my whole family goes here. I’ve also recommend family and friends and everyone has had a great experience!

Really fantastic massage with Julie! I will be going back in 3 weeks for another one. Very reasonable pricing and loved the online booking process, easy peasy. Really helpful, I have a lot of issues with my neck and shoulders and now I finally feel a release of the muscle tension I have been carrying around.

Hi Julie, I did call and I did speak to you before writing this review and you were very rude to me over the phone. I still remember that gut wrenching feeling I had after we hung up. I am no longer worried about having my calls answered as I went in to get my hair dyed back to it’s «natural» color and you were nowhere to be found. Don’t be so quick to judge people next time, I was truly affected by the results and only wanted to feel like myself again.

I love this place. It’s nice without being too expensive, and the people who work there are all friendly and good at their jobs. Last time I was there I had a no-​chip manicure for the first time, done by Amanda, and it’s beautiful :) I’m have my nails done by both Amanda and Cat, and they’re great!

This is the place I go for massages when I am in the Chicago suburbs! Julie is an amazing massage therapist! She goes above and beyond to make sure you are feeling comfortable at the spa and totally pampered! I am always offered tea, coffee or water and I am welcomed by many warm smiles in this establishment. Someone must be doing something right here if all the employees are so happy and kind!
Julie customizes my massage specific to my needs. Last time I saw her she spent extra time on my lower back and legs which were giving me trouble at the time. Julie knew exactly what to do and how much pressure I preferred for the session. I felt like I was light as a feather when I stepped out of the spa that day. What was even more amazing is that I continued to feel this great days later. I had more flexibility and energy and I have Julie to thank!
Seriously some magic hands she has!!! I highly recommend her to all!!!

Great massages for the value. My boyfriend and I got the 2 hour couples’ massage. I really liked the hot stone massage that’s included in their couples’ massages. The staff was super friendly and even returned my ring, which used to belong to my boyfriend’s mother, by running it out to the car before we left!

I have never been this happy about any service provided to me today! I had a lot of things done for me today and couldn’t leave happier. I had started with April to get the perfect hair dye done. I wanted something new different and creative, but not something that was super drastic that it wouldn’t fit me. April killed it! I will be posting pictures when I head back home. (From Boston) After the fabulous hair transformation I have a super relaxing, pain free, soothing and thorough facial by the lovely and beautiful Kate. She did my eyebrows unbelievably well! I have a uni brow and anyone I ever went to get them done could never get them perfectly even and She did! They are perfect! I also had the perfect ending to this day with and absolutely soothing massage with Megan. She knew were I had some knots and pain and smooth them all out!
Everyone who handled me today are number one pros! Even Liz who was handling the front desk was extremely polite. They all attended to me with precision and expertise and exceptional customer service by giving me an absolutely lovely day. Nothing could ruin my mood right now. They made sure I was comfortable and offered beverages; they even kept me fed because I was there for quite a while. I bought my food, but they went out of their way to go out and purchase the food for me.
I’m here for buisness purposes and needed a day of pampering and they completely delivered. I came to this salon on reviews from Unilocal and here I am on Unilocal to send in my review. This place is terrific. If you want a professional with a lovely personality this is the place to go to.
Before I left I had some trouble payment, but they were so good that my mood couldn’t be ruined by anything. That’s how good this place is.

My son and I have coarse, curly hair with tons of cowlicks, making if very difficult to get a cut that looks even after it dries. Amanda nails it every time!

Love the special treatment I get at the spa and salon. It is great to have all services offered at one place. Julie, the owner, is a wonderful business person and very active in the community. She inspires other business owners.

I came here about a year ago. I had a gift card for a free no chip manicure. So I made an apt and came in a few days later.
I get there, sit down and wait for the lady, that does nails. later to find out! she truly doesn’t do nails, she does hair. So I wasn’t excited about that!
So, she starts to take off my no chip, she’s having a hard time, It’s been 45 mins now! at this point, I just want to leave! clearly she has NO idea what she’s doing
She finally gets it off! cleans my nails and starts to put the polish off. Now, a 5 year old could’ve done a much better job! there was polish all over my fingers, lumps in the polish. It was horrible!
I wish I could remember her name, but I don’t.
So then the owner looks over and sees the horrible job she has done. She says «well, you can just come back another day when a nail tech is here». That’s great and all. But, I don’t have time for that! this should’ve been with a nail tech in the first place.

This was my first time ever going to a salon or spa for manscaping as i normally just go to places like the Hair Cuttery. I got my usual high fade and eyebrow wax (them bad boys tend to get out of control), but also got a beard trim. I believe the stylists name was Fena (maybe Bena?). She was awesome, she really took her time to ensure i was happy with everything. The cost was more than what i normally pay, but the service and attention to detail was well worth it. I have nothing against the Hair Cuttery i frequent, but its a chain, has high turnover, and you are pretty much one of 15 to 20 people they see in a day, just a number. I felt this was much more personalized, and Fena was very personable. I could see myself going back for a monthly service, and using the Hair Cuttery in between.

Julie, the owner is wonderful and friendly. Made me very comfortable from my very first visit. She has done a massage for my boyfriend and he couldn’t stop talking about how great it was. I really enjoyed their couple massage as well as individual massage (always go for the hour!). Great atmosphere and always leave feeling refreshed!
A friend recommended Carole as a hairstylist for all cut, color, and style needs… And they were so right! I’ve gone through a lot of colors and cuts and Carole gets it right every time! She goes through everything based on my individual hair, and gives the best scalp massage during shampoo! You’ll never leave unstyled which is great for the last minute appointments, or busy days.
I’m so happy I switched to this spa and salon, I recommend it to everyone (especially because of all my hair compliments!)

I just had a massage by the owner, Julie, and it was fantastic!!!
She really listened to me and worked on the spots that I am tight in. She has years of experience and the deep tissue massage felt wonderful.
The salon was inviting, and the massage room was warm and calming. Loved the heated table and attention to detail.
I will be back often and I’m calling to make an appointment for my husband as well.

I had my first visit here a week ago and had a great experience. The massage therapist was very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a five star experience.
Today I went in for a facial and it was nice. The esthetician was gentle. My complaint is, I called beforehand to confirm the difference between a classic facial and a signature facial. I was told the signature facial included hand, arm and leg massage and it was $ 20 more than the classic facial. But what I got today seemed to be a classic facial because I didn’t receive a massage.
I did have a positive experience with the employees. I think I will go back for a massage but I think I’d go elsewhere for a facial.

This place is fantastic, I come here for several things, but I have give props to Carole, who is a pleasure to get a haircut with. With a vision of getting my hair a bit longer, she walked through everything to help me get the most out of my locks. That and she is extremely personable, so the conversation is always fun, unlike most places I used to go.
I would never choose to go anywhere else. The service is amazing, the prices are reasonable and they treat each customer with the utmost respect. Can’t really ask for more.

So many great things to say about Fox River Spa and Salon. Massage therapy was the first thing that drew me here. With chronic neck and shoulder pain, I was looking for a new therapist that had experience in myofascial release and trigger point. Julie, the owner, has experience in both along with other things. She’s a fantastic therapist that offers pain relief through massage. Spa area is clean and quiet. Massage tables are very comfortable. She also uses essential oils throughout.
In addition to massage, we’ve are very pleased with Jnet, the barber at the salon. I brought my 2 year son to Jnet for a cut and she was great with him! His cut turned out a great and I was much happier with the experience than at the kids cut place we had previously gone to.
On top of all this, I love that this is a local small business! Thrilled to have found this gem in the west suburbs.
