Island Massage & Spa

Went in today for a massage that someone gifted me. Made the appt yesterday with no problem. Arrived 5 mins early to fill out one paper. My massage therapist was Virgil. He showed me back to the cabana (there are 2 side by side, private). There was music playing to help with dividing the two. If I have any con to the visit, this would be it… Nice set up back there, just needs a permanent wall. This did not effect my massage however! Virgil was very professional and gave me one of the best massages I have ever had. Usually I find the therapist not to have as strong enough hands as I would prefer. Not the case with Virgil. I got more of a sports medicine treatment because I was very sore from working out. He asked me about pressure and it was perfect. After I changed into clothes, he was waiting outside the door for me with some water and I used the restroom. I used the wonderful hand scrub in there (nice touch!).
Great experience, will go again.

My experience was good but certainly not the best massage I have had and I’ve had many. I did like that I was given a choice of oils to be used and the bed was very comfortable. The cabana idea is a good idea but would have been nice if it had been outside, indoors didn’t make sense. I might go back but only as a last resort. The fees were reasonable.

I had a wonderful sea salt scrub followed by a massage and hot stone massage. Katrina did an awesome job and the time went way too quickly. My daughter also had the same experience with her masseuse.

I decided at the last minute that I would treat myself to a massage on our recent vacation to the area. I picked this place for the great reviews and was pleasantly surprised that they could book an appointment for me within a couple of hours of my phone call. The receptionist was professional and nice and I didn’t hesitate to give her my cc info to hold my time slot.
I opted for a 90 min massage with amy. I was escorted to the massage area within minutes of completing the necessary forms and found the establishment to be clean and inviting. Amy used enough pressure where it was beneficial to my problem areas and relaxing enough for me to doze off a few times. I only wish I lived closer so that I could see amy regularly.
This place deserves the great reviews!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at island massage and spa! We were on an anniversary stay cation and loved our couples massage and sauna treatments. The spa was lovely and the overall experience was everything we had hoped for.

Still talking about our awesome messages given by Katrina this AM. We couldn’t agree more with the comments already made. Will be back for sure, next time we visit the grandkids in Wilmington.

I have been in to see Katrina a few times over the past year and as a massage therapist myself it is nice to know and work with another qualified massage therapist that is able to help me unwind and relax. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I both had massages with Katrina and we both agree that they were the best we ever had. Lovely atmosphere, very professional and reasonable prices. We’ll definitely be back! I would highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I went here while on vacation. He went first, so I went down to the street to a nail salon to get a pedi. The salon was recommended by Katrina, the sole owner and therapist at Island Massage & Spa. After an hour I came back and had my massage.
Katrina was very good. worked on areas I wanted and needed worked, she did both relaxing and deep tissue on me. It was great.
Afterwards I enjoyed a cold glass of white wine, and great conversation. She is knowledgeable about the area, recommended a great fish restaurant.
I will highly recommend this place.
