Jimboy’s Tacos

The manager of this location needs to be replaced! I ordered on the app. This location didn't get the delivery for the promo item. The location said they couldn't refund my money, that I would have to get a refund on-line. There is no way to get a refund on-line. Corporate contacted me to try and resolve the problem, but since this Carmichael location is a franchise, all they could do is contact the manager of the location. Corporate contacted the manager 4 times, with no response. I gave this manager a full month to respond, but nothing. So I paid to receive NO food. It's very bad business since to loose someone's loyalty forever over $8.51. The money isn't the issue, I will NOT do business with any place that does not respect their customers.

For the price you pay, you expect a high-​quality, ample-​portioned food product. If you enjoy getting ripped-​off, here’s your store. I had ordered a chicken taco salad and cheesy bean flautas. Literally, there was hardly any beans or chicken on the salad. I kept using my fork to move the mound of lettuce around looking for any. Scarce to none. And if there was supposed to be cheese, there was none. They make you think you are getting a moderately-​sized salad, but it’s all lettuce and no substance. And I paid almost $ 13 for my order — over $ 9 for just the salad! Definitely NOT worth the money, and very disappointed that I wasted my money on this. Well, I won’t make that mistake again — because I am no longer a customer. You need some serious training in this restaurant! And the flautas, I opened one of them up and there was a small swipe of bean filling, no cheese — comical. And now they ask you if you need utensils? Jimboys has obviously now put profit over product and customer. I will no longer patronize this restaurant, I will, instead, go to the Adalberto’s food chains in the area. The one star was for the friendly cashier.

First time here. Not sure if they are cooking the same as the others. Liked the other Jimboys just a bit more. Next time I won’t do the «drive thru».

Everything from my previous review applies — except they no longer carry the yummy decaffeinated, sugar-​free iced tea that my girlfriend and I enjoy. Sigh.

WORST. JIMBOYS. IN TOWN. This place is why I drive out of my way to another town to get Jimboys tacos. I made the mistake tonight of giving them another chance. Big mistake. For some reason this Jimboys feels like they have to ration their cheese. Normally they just skip it all together. Tonight I got a tiny smidgen of cheese on one taco, but none on my bean and CHEESE burrito. They also «ran out» of taco sauce. Really? Come on guys. Get it together. I recommend going across the street to Adalbertos if you want Mexican food. This Jimboys is a joke. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. In any case, if you want cold, tasteless and cheese less tacos and burritos with no sauce that you get to wait 20+ minutes for, then this is the place for you! I on the other hand will be driving to the next Jimboys down the road.

Great combo burritos! I substitute beans for rice and it’s delicious. Customer service is great.

I’ve never had a horrible experience at Jimboy’s until the other night. First of all it took 20 minutes from the time I pulled into the drive thru until the time I received my order. The order taker seemed flustered and had difficulty taking my order. Once I received my order they shut the window without giving me my drink and walked away. I had to honk the horn to get their attention. Once I got home I discovered one of the combo meals was completely missing a burrito and an additional ground beef burrito I ordered was missing. I called the location and was passed around to 3 different people. One of whom advised «sorry, we’re having technical difficulties». So technical difficulties is causing you to forget to put things in the bag? The next response was ‘we’re out of some items needed to make stuff.”. Wow. So you just leave them out of someone’s order? Once I asked to speak to a manager I was hung up on. Unbelievable.

I just came from there, spent $ 40 in fast food and they forgot my nachos. When I called back a young man said I had to come back now or tomorrow because they didn’t want to stay open to fix their mistake. The person I was speaking with put someone else on the phone who sounded under the influence of something and hung up on me when I asked for their name and the name of their supervisor. I believe one of the gentleman (using the term lightly) was named John but couldn’t be sure because when I did indeed go back the «manager» now named Fernando ran and hid. He had the lady who tended the window do his dirty work. The level of professionalism in this place is a joke!!! The manager couldn’t even manage his own behavior and was a straight up coward. Way to go Jimboys on Fair Oaks you allow scared rude children run your store!

First time at this location. Ordered super ground beef nachos. They were super skimpy… hardly any cheese at all. The cheese was not the average Jimboy cheese. It was cheap and sort of clumpy. The chips were slightly stale and the beef had NO seasoning whatsoever. The container they used for the nachos is much smaller than any other Jimboy’s I’ve ever visited. The newly remodeled restaurant is the best thing they have going. DO NOT waste your hard earned $ eating here.

Mercedes I am glad you enjoyed :) I can also assure you John they do not cook there beans in thr microwave. They make every thing fresh and in small quantities to stay fresh ;)

In my opinion Jimboys is always a pretty good Mexican fast food, used the check in to get a free burrito was delicious could have been a tad warmer, but still good. Didn’t know they switched up their salad, had like an avocado cream sauce on it major kudos! From my experience this location was friendly, clean, and fresh. I’ll be back.

Worst mistake I made today was stopping here. The food was HORRIBLE. On the bean burrito all I could taste is tortilla. It barely had and beans or cheese. The shredded beef tacos I got were SO SALTY and the meat tasted old. The one on Stockton Blvd is waaaay better. I have never once been unhappy with food from a Jimboys, until now. I literally think this location ruined me ever wanting to eat Jimboys again. And the gentleman at the drive thru was super impatient, even though there was nobody behind me. If there’s only one menu board, buddy I kinda have to look and make my decision there. It’s not an option to make ur decision and then pull up, jerk.

I have lived in the area for almost 20 years. Since the renovation at the restaurant service has ongoingly been poor. The first time I was there after the renovations I went through the drive thru after 10 minutes and was asked to pull up front to get my food after I had paid for it. After 15 minutes and 4 other cars waiting as well I finally got someone to refund my money and went to Adalbertos. Since then poor service and long waits in the drive thru are common. Tonight I went through the drive thru and ordered a meal with a taco on the side. Got home and just meat and barely any cheese in taco. Called and was told they were busy then hung up on. Called back twice. Spoke with manager? Ad. Supposedly given number to manager Victor. No call back. Very poor customer service. Have call in to corporate. Hope they can fix this ongoing customer service problem.

This food is the true guilty pleasure of fast food taco-​type food. Yes, we KNOW its not «real» Mexican food… whatever. It still tastes good. A thousand times better, and more friendly to the stomach, then Taco Bell when craving a quick, inexpensive (relatively) taco-​like substance.
I opt for the Shredded beef quesadilla every time. The shredded beef tastes pretty good, and the cheese is always fully melted. If feeling like I need to defeat the purpose of the 90% other healthy meals I eat, I will get the crème-​filled churros as well. Delicious.
The staff at this one seems cool all the time… even when there is a language barrier. Not trying to be a knock, sarcastic, or even insensitive. Whether English speaking or not, everyone at this restaurant usually seems nice, upbeat, and helpful

I used to go here a lot but now that they jacked up their prices I’ll pass.
The bad attitude, higher prices, and small portions is three reasons why others should avoid this Jimboy’s. You guys suck now and it was better before you guys did the renovation. Never again!!!

Amazing! We always use their text coupons for a great dinner! Their beef tacos, their salsas, their salads, and their enchiladas are a great variety for a quick meal. The food doesn’t taste like it is mass produced.
The drive thru was fast and the food was delicious… they even threw in two free sodas. We actually drove past Taco Bell and choose Jimboys. You should too!

I have been in the Midwest for a few years now and do not have access to the Jimboy’s tacos. I was recently in Sac and found time to eat here twice. The Parmesan shells are the best. I wish I could order them by mail, but that would not be the same. I started eating these tacos at the first Carmichael location. The quality of the food is always the same. They get it our fast in the store or drive thru. Prices are low. Parking is in the lot. Staff is not too talkative but they provide great service. I miss Jimboys!

Recently remodeled looks great! Love the Beef Tacos! Every time I go to Jimboy’s I get at least 4 tacos… most of the food is good, but man-​o-​man those tacos are near perfect! Keep it up Jimboy’s! Happy Eats!

New look is flossy. I love Jimboys, so they get 5 stars because I am addicted.

This Jimboy’s location is close to my job so I frequent it a lot with my coworker, especially when we have a «buy one get one free» coupon. I’ve always been a fan of Jimboy’s and I’m recently in love with their «veggie soft burrito.» But you have to remind them NOT to make it with butter or it’s going to be sitting at the bottom of the burrito. I recently ordered their fish taco and it was decently good. They salsa bar is a little suspect (I choose wisely when grabbing salsa) but trust me, it’s still good salsa. I love eating their salsa with my burritos, especially their breakfast burritos. (I’m writing this review and getting hungry.)
FOOD: They food is always on point. Jimboy’s famous tacos with parmesan cheese are a classic! They also offer their daily specials like all other Jimboys locations. I like the new healthier options (fish taco, veggie burrito, black bean burrito) they offer for vegetarians or vegans.
SERVICE: The women who work at this location is very nice and patience. They work hard and serve you with a smile. You’ll want to make sure that the cashier takes your order down the right way. You should always double check. (I.e. if you order a soft taco, let them know or they might make a burrito. It happened to me.)
LOCATION: This location isn’t the best in terms of parking or looks (it looks like it needs make over bad) and I haven’t even used the drive-​thru yet (I’m scared too) but the food is still delicious. Don’t let the looks from the outside fool you.
I’ll definitely be back to this Jimboys for lunch this year. I haven’t had a bad experience here yet.
