Debbie Meyers Swim School

We are extremely pleased with our experience here so far. Our instructor is Erin and she is incredibly talented at working with children. My son has always been very fearful of the water, having had a couple scary water experiences, and I was at a loss about what to do. He is turning 7 soon and I knew I needed an instructor who had a lot of experience in order to even get him into the water. In only 4 lessons, my son was not only in the water but looking forward to going to lessons. This is the same child who adamantly did NOT want a swim lesson EVER and was perfectly fine never learning how to swim, though this was not an option for us. Whenever we went swimming as a family, he would sit on the grass and just watch everyone else have fun. :(Now he loves going to swim lessons and he’s progressing along well. I know it is due totally to Erin’s ability to work with the WHOLE child — heart, mind and body. The price of the lessons is SO worth it, especially for a child who is struggling.

i only gave them two stars in hopes that the next experience there is much better. I have prepaid for 4 lessons and the first two were not great. my instructor was Haily and i will say she is so unfriendly and not warm towards children and has no place in a children driven business. As a business owner myself i would caution Debbie as to who she hires in the future. I have two more prepaid classes that i am hoping for a switch of instructors or a refund. I just hope they are better at handling adults then their are at children. From what i have Seen Colin is amazing with kids but i can’t speak for the rest. Caution to parents, be careful who you choose as an instructor, i think it will make all the difference in the world.

My husband has been doing parent-​tot classes with our toddler for over a month now and they both love it! The teacher, Ms. Erin, is great at what she does and really puts the kids at ease. The water is warm and the pool is covered, which I think is great. We have been pleasantly surprised at how much progress our son has made in a fairly short amount of time and we just signed up for more classes! It’s worth the price and we think he definitely gets adequate instruction even though it’s a group class.

We love this place. We have our third child taking lessons there now. Everyone is so friendly and the kids who don’t seem to go to anyone new are perfect with the instructors. Especially Colin who has been awesome with our 21 month old.

This place is great young and old. They have different size pools to help you learn. I took swim lessons here long ago and I still love it. If your child needs to learn to swim this is the place to take them. They are helpful and super good with kids.

We had Julia as our swim teacher and she was fabulous. The water was warm… my son had a blast. Now the lessons were pricey at 20 a lesson for 20 minutes but my son learned quickly. The place looks dumpy but the water was clean and warm. We will go back again… even at the cost
