My boyfriend took me here between classes for our anniversary. Man, I needed a cup of coffee and I got one. I am someone who does not like Starbucks at all. I drink my coffee black in the mornings to avoid sugar and cream but I simply can’t with Starbucks coffee. The hand brewed Tanzania I ordered was so good black that I didn’t want to ruin it with anything! My boyfriend seemed to enjoy his Mexican mocha as well. And the lemon bar was pretty good. If you want REAL, delicious coffee, this is a good place. If you want dessert coffee and don’t care for the beans or roast so much, Starbucks will do. Price wise, the two are pretty comparable.

My favorite coffee place from Arden to Folsom. Best tasting coffee in our general area. Not to mention the inside is so cute! The overall atmosphere as well as service is great!

The staff wasn’t very friendly. Lots of tables cluttering the café, many of them blocking other seats, so you couldn’t access them. My only option was one of the tables with a note on it stating, «This table is provided for the enjoyment of 3 or more. Please. This is not a desk. This is not an office. This is not a campsite. Be prepared to be asked to move to another table. Please. Remove all dishes and personal items when leaving. Please.» Not a very welcoming environment to say the least. Coffee was fine.

One of my favorite coffee spots. If you like decaf try the Celebes. It is similar to an Italian roast. Hard to find for decaf coffee.

Great coffee! I just wish they had more to eat sometimes. Their pastries are good though

Boulevard’s coffee is nice and rich, and one of the few coffees that I prefer to drink totally black, with no cream or sugar added. I particularly like their iced coffee.

I think the coffee taste wonderful and the female Brista that made it was extremely sweet. Although when I first walked in a gentleman ringing at the register with lots of bracelets on was extremely rude. I walked in and said good morning he said hello I said hi how are you you didn’t even respond. I proceeded to order my latte and then said actually can I get some sugar-free vanilla in it? He said yes well that’s actually vanilla latte in a rude tone. I said I’m sorry this is my first time here yes please. He never looked up at me said thank you or anything –he just put the money on the counter. I know we have off days but this type of poor customer service will keep me from ever coming back here again.

I like to try new coffee places. This is not one anyone should try for anything other than tea. I ordered a white mocha and when I received it I was shocked at how bad it tasted. I use to work at a coffee shop and am aware of how good coffee should taste. It tasted very burnt and off(kinda like it had a nutty chemical flavor but not really).(See picture of bottom of cup) If you want good coffee or espresso, stick to Starbucks. Even though they are more expensive it’s totally worth have a good tasting cup of coffee instead of something you want to throw out your car window while you drive away.

In short, shit service. Rude old man without an ounce of tact working there. Party of six was told we couldn’t sit together in a very unprofessional manner.

I just walked in with a party of 6 and was told to leave my table because I was blocking customers’ views to displayed merchandise. The shop was empty. With this type of customer service I expect it will continue to be empty. #scrooge

I Just walked out from Boulevard Caffe located in Fait Oaks Blvd. as my party of 6 guests were not welcome by the owner of the place. I felt deeply insulted. I have supported his establishment for years. Refuse to go to Starbucks in order to give my dollars to local business. Merry Christmas Sr. May you learn customer services My rating is –5

I’m sorry but this coffee is garbage. I’m really perplexed by all the good reviews. The staff was very friendly, but the coffee is just… horrible. We got a macchiato that tastes like someone ashed their cigarette in it and a cappuccino that is slightly better, but only because it is more watered down by milk. The espresso is bitter and burnt tasting, and we can see espresso grounds in the coffee. Just awful. Maybe if you cover up the taste of the coffee with a bunch of sugary crap it’s not too bad, but I’m more of a purist and expect the actual coffee to taste good. You know your coffee is bad when Starbucks is a better alternative. If anyone knows where to get good coffee in Sacramento, please advise.

The coffee is not at what I’d expected. I was running late and was not able to go to Starbucks, so I tried this place. When I walked in, no one even acknowledged me. The cashier that helped me didn’t spare a single smile. The worst part is he didn’t even give me any suggestions when seeing that I wasn’t sure of what to get. He just looked at me and had a mug on his face. He might have a good looking appearance with long haired tied back. That’s great and all but if you do not sell your product and represent your company in a friendly style, ya shouldn’t be there.

I was blown away by the quality of the coffee in this place. A friend gave me a cup of Mid Night oil dark roast and I fell in love. Got here early on a Saturday morning and tried a few different coffees. I was educated by the barista on where these coffe beans come from and bought a cup of Seattle Starlight. Shaawing! best coffee ive had in a while. its out of my was to come here but I would do it again in a heart beat. for the first time in my coffee frenzy, I got to taste coffee like it smells. AmazeBallz!

My favorite coffee and tea spot. They are old school: roast thier own beans, sell accessories, and have quality and amazing service. An amazing place to have a chat over coffee– not play on a laptop. It’s places like this that keep people connected over the simple indulgences in life. A MUST for any coffee lover!

Looking for a coffee shop to enjoy our doughnut haul from Family Donuts down the way, Boulevard seemed to be a decent local roaster to check out. There was a decent amount of seating with a very rustic look going on. The cashier was cordial enough however I wasn’t sure that I was getting the«this is the place» feeling from it overall. My Americano was delivered as a double espresso shot in a cup with a gravy bowl of hot water on the side. I’ve never gotten it this way before and I thought it was pretty cool. It was decent tasting but nothing special. When I brought my babygirl her latte that I ordered, she asked me «what is this shit?» Not normally one to curse, I can understand her bewilderment. It came in a tall clear glass with the foam dolloped on top like whip cream. Wait, did we order an iced latte? Apparently this is how they serve their lattes ’round here. It tasted okay but the presentation was odd. Not sure how they do it in Europe, but in ‘Murica, we like our lattes in ceramic cups. The barista was nice enough when we asked for a regular cup. We enjoyed our coffee and especially the doughnuts that we brought from Family Donuts. I will say that I would probably find another coffee shop the next time we’re in the neighborhood.

This is a fantastic independent coffee shop for the true coffee lover. There are dozens of whole been coffees to choose from for purchase to take home in whatever amount your coffee addiction might require and they roast all of their own beans! The owner and staff are very knowledgeable about all of the different varieties and can provide some great educational information when helping you make your order decision. They typically keep two regular blends hot and ready along with a decaf blend throughout the day, but they will also prepare any type of their beans for you in a French press at your request, which is sooo much tastier than a standard drip brew. The lattes are made the correct way with shots of espresso and an entire cup of foam so don’t expect a heavy cup of coffee flavored milk like those other coffee places. Inside there is comfortable seating and room to enjoy meeting with friends, working, or reading and there are plenty of interesting coffee related items to look at throughout the café. Additionally, there are a few small tables outside if you prefer that as well. The staff is friendly and helpful and willing to answer any questions you might have. The restrooms are clean and decorative just as the rest of the establishment. Bike parking is also available directly outside the front door. There is no drive through so come inside to enjoy awhile or grab a drink to go. Parking is convenient with plenty of spaces. If you enjoy your beverage in the café it will be served in a heavy glass or ceramic mug that will really show off its presentation and give a cozy feel to your java experience, of course there are also to-go cups as well, or you can bring your own. The café also brews a variety of other blended drinks and teas and has an assortment of tasty pastries from a local bakery down the street. Try the anise-almond biscotti which is the perfect accompaniment to any beverage. This is truly a great coffee shop for anyone who loves great coffee and a warm inviting atmosphere.

The vibe here is hit or miss, but the coffee is always on point. Their actual coffee is really good — they roast their own beans! — and the much-raved about Mexican Mochas are phenomenal. The chai is good too. Sometimes the atmosphere is a little awkward. Not unpleasant and the service is never bad, it’s just sometimes slightly uncomfortable and it doesn’t make you want to hang out. Weekday afternoon/evenings are usually good. Tonight the staff was awesome and the vibe was great, I drank my coffee and read for an hour or so. The two 20-something girls and the nervous-looking teenage boy working were friendly and pleasant and set a really welcoming tone. Shoutout to the one girl who dealt with a grumpy elderly lady flawlessly. Overall this place is A+ and if I still lived in the area I’d be here all the time. I just wish their hours were better.

Fun chill atmosphere, interesting menu & knowledgeable staff. We stopped for some afternoon delight and took our kids. There is a raised bar looking outside &8 tables to sit & work/meet. They have 80’s music playing in the background. It was a little busy partly cuz of my kids causing a ruckus but nobody seemed to mind. They were grinding, foaming, and doing all things coffee. They have chachkees to buy — all the coffee things you would want to buy. We had to visit the rest room(of course) and it was clean & well stocked. Thumbs up from this Mama. Anyway, we will def come back for some treats & coffee. And maybe some afternoon delight after! The location is open til 5:30.
