Yolanda’s Hair Salon

BE CAREFUL! Freida was referred to me, so I made an appointment. I went prepared with a picture of my preferred haircut. She told me that my «Jamie Lee Curtis Haircut» was not a problem. I left the Salon with a lopsided burr haircut, making my head look deformed. I cried when I got home. The next day I went back for an attempt to make my head look symmetrical. I now have a military burr haircut approximately ½ inches long. It will take at least a month of growth before I can style it. For now, I just try to keep my composure while my friends look at me in disbelief. I have ordered hats to cover up. Please, be careful.

Frieda is amazing! She always makes my hair look great! She took me out of my hair rut! She always listens to me and transforms my hair each time I sit in her chair! The salon is beautiful! Really enjoy myself everytime I go into the salon!

Yolanda, is also my favorite salon. I have been going to Frieda for several years.
She always listens and manages to come up with a fabulous cut and color.
Ever since I started going there I have recieved rave compliments on my hair.
All the girls are fun and nice. It is like one big happy family.

A good hair cut is worth a month of therapy. a good hair cut at Yolanda’s is worth 3 months! Yolanda’s is an experience, and not just a place to get my hair cut and colored. I feel taken care of… Coffee, water, a snack, lunch? I’ve been offered all. I feel inspired there.
That’s all great –BUT I keep returning as a loyal customer WHY? my hair is fabulous and I am happy to say I am not stuck in a dated hair rut! I feel contemporary and stylish. I am happy at Yolanda’s.

Yolanda has styled my hair for years and I always get complements on it! She is a master at both cuts and color, runs a relaxed and happy salon, and offers the finest in products. I highly recommend her to anyone!

Yolanda is a hair Goddess! What this woman can do to my tired, fine hair is incredible. I always feel like a million bucks after she finishes. Fun shop, lots of lively conversation, and the best cut, color, and style to be had.

Yolanda’s is by far the best salon in the Barnyard, The stylists are fantastic (Frieda) is my favorite… They will take the time to really listen to what you want, not to mention this is a classy yet fun environment. I highly recommend this salon and they stylists!

I came to Monterey to work USGP. I was feeling a little lazy and decided I wanted a little blow out for the weekend of working as umbrella girl.
I wandered around the Barnyard (I was staying at the Carmel Mission Inn next door) to all the different salons (4 that I saw) and checked out their style and prices. Yolanda’s best fit the bill/​look and was able to get me in practically right away.
My stylist was Louise. She took the time to make sure we were on the same page-​I showed her a few pics of what I was looking for.
Mind you I’m not doing so hot financially but had been working hard and wanted a little pampering. I felt pretty comfortable right away that I was going to get my money’s worth.
Louise was a riot, I heard about her cupcake competition and how she came to be at Yolanda’s salon.
All said and done she did a great job and I was able to get away with the blow out for the next two days at the races.
Definitely recommend her for hairstyle/​blow out.
