The Pint Room has one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. The meat was not dried out or prepacked like many restaurants. Had the 5 Alarm burger on a lettuce wrap. The Pint Room knows how to do a proper lettuce wrap. A must have are the sweet potato fries. The beer menu is expansive and broken down into categories. My server was knowledgeable about the beer menu. Had 2 different beers and my server was spot on with the suggestion. The Pint Room is definitely a must go to.

Tons of beer options, clearly! Food is not typical bar food. Very tasty! I have been here twice now, and will continue to come! All around great!

Hear my confession: I’m obsessed with the Pint Room’s sprouts and bacon appetizer. And their BBQ Short Rib Grilled Cheese. And their house-made, chewy-crispy kettle chips. I can’t drive past them on Main Street without thinking about Brussels sprouts. That’s how amazing they are. Now that I’ve put that out there, here are some other great things about the Pint Room, a craft beer bar with a bazillionty taps and insane burgers. The layout is half seating, half bar. Flatscreens from every angle but somehow not obtrusive, so you can keep an eye on «the game» while enjoying your nitro stout and conversation. Pint Room plays host to lots of tap takeover events, but you can often avoid the crowd and visit the next day to see many of those beers still available. They offer four-ounce pours for as little as two bucks, so sample your heart out, beer geeks. Service has always been stellar, and they update their beer menu frequently. Parking is easy with the free underground garage just around the corner. Expect a packed house on the weekends, but we love visiting mid-afternoon before the post-work meet and greeters arrive. Don’t forget the Indiana pint special on Mondays!

I really liked the pint room. The cheese curds app is amazing. They have a ton of beers to choose from and a solid menu. Crab cake sandwich was very good. Service was exceptional. I had my daughter with me and had to sit on the family friendly side… which was fine. However, it looked like a much better atmosphere on the bar side… I’ll ditch the kid next time I make it to the Pint Room!

We arrived at 6 for dinner and were seated immediately. The staff was friendly and attentive, but the food was just ok. We ordered the meatball appetizer which lacked a bit in flavor. I had the topless salad, which was a hamburger patty served atop a salad. The salad was great, but the burger was very dry. My husband ordered the California burger and agreed his was a bit dry, but still very good. IMO, there are several other places around town that make a much better burger. The reason why I gave 4 stars was because its called The PINT Room and not The BURGER Room and the beer/cider selection was fantastic. There was so much to choose from and the best part was for $ 8, you could choose four different 4oz samples. If you’re a pineapple and/or cider fan and you haven’t tried the Ace pineapple cider, you MUST try it! YUM! I would also recommend the«root beer» if you like root beer. It tastes exactly like non alcoholic root beer.

Got a bite for lunch. We sat in the bar area which was nice. The service was great. Large selection of beer and good portions for the price. We tried the club and the crab cake sandwiches. Both were good selections.

The pint room offers the North Indy and Carmel area residents a wonderful, family friendly environment to eat and drink. The pint room has a large selection of your normal domestics and exotic craft beers. We attending during the Sun King Tap Takeover before heading to a movie. It was our 2nd time visiting the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were originally directed to the bar area which is open seating. However, we returned to the hostess stand and asked for a table as the bar area was full. We were seated immediately which would have been our first choice if we were asked our preference upon arrival. Our server was friendly, and suggested the bacon appetizer. If you have ever read any of my other reviews, I always go for the bacon. Being a bacon connoisseur myself, I was disappointed in the sad 3 pieces of bacon placed in front of me. It was floppy and covered in smoked paprika and cumin– which overpowered the wonderful flavor of bacon. The bacon was think cut, but execution was off. We also ordered the hummus appetizer, which I enjoyed. It wasn’t the best hummus I have ever had, but it certainly wasn’t the worst. Our beers were delivered promptly and were nice and cold. The selection is wonderful as The Pint Room has more taps than you will know what to do with. Overall, after two visits, I am impressed with the beer selection but food choices have left me wanting just a bit more. A solid choice with good service and great beer.

Stopped in over the weekend with family in town. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was great. Since this was our first time in we ordered a variety of burgers and split them. We ordered The Hangover, Shitake, &BBQ. The Hangover was my favorite. Ordered the regular and sweet potato fries. Sweet potato fries a great choice and the dipping sauce wasn’t too sweet. The beer menu is expansive, 124 beers on tap. Their beer menu was well organized and labeled. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the breweries and beers available. If we are up that way again, we will pop in. Glad we did and tried somewhere new.

The Pint Room interior is very comfortable with natural lighting in most areas. You walk directly into the dining area with the bar area separated by the brewery room. There are Oodles of seating on both sides of the restaurant. Keep the Pint Room in mind if you need a lot of seating for a group or party. I love the large booths that will easily fit 8 and the bar area has captain tables, booths and one very large bar. Speaking of bar, they offer 124 beers on tap with 50 plus local beers which is a positive with my husband. The servers were friendly, attentive, food arrived timely and the water glasses were never empty. It can be loud when crowded but you can still hold a conversation. Nice selection of appetizers to share or have as a light meal. We had the bottle caps as our appetizers which are ale battered pickle chips served with a spicy bistro sauce. Enough pickles to share and we enjoyed. Spicy Mango Margarita is one of the house signature drinks using Patron Mango Citroge Tequila & Hornitos Tequila, muddled limes, jalapeño and simple syrup. Very refreshing and highly recommend if you’re a tequila and jalapeño fan. Let me start the sandwich review with ask for many extra napkins or go fork & knife. Every sandwich is messy with many ingredients on top of another. Good, yes, messier yes! I tried the Black Bean burger served with pepper jack cheese, roasted tomato, eggplant, squash, mixed greens, sun dried tomato mayo, basil pesto on a ciabatta bun. We enjoyed the blend of flavors but next time I’ll request Cajun seasoning for a little extra kick for my taste. This turned out to be a fork & knife sandwich. The BBQ is very tasty served with smoked cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon, and red onion strings, onion rings then topped off with Smokey BBQ sauce. I love the French fries but beware if you have a cheese allergy. Unless you specify the French fries are sprinkled with parmesan before serving and not listed on the menu. The 5 Alarm Chicken sandwich is my favorite. Beware; it’s served with habanero cheese, caramelized onions, jalapenos, and habaneros, onion strings, topped off with lettuce, tomato, guacamole and Sirach mayo. If you enjoy spicy food give this a try. Instead of chips I ordered the onion rings with large slices of onions in a light batter which looked undercooked until you dive in. They are delicious with the light batter and spices. They list 15 types of burgers from a good old classic burger to the Hangover, PBB&J, Pork Chop, and Country Fried Steak on a burger with a sunny side up egg & white gravy, Italian Sausage plus a burger on the bun to a Bison Burger. A popular entrée is the Pork Chop with Johnny cakes, green beans, apple bacon, chutney and Demi glaze. If you’re on a low carb diet asks for your burger on an iceberg wedge instead of bread. The menu is quite large and appears to have something for everyone. If you’re not a burger fan you can substitute a black bean burger or chicken for any of the burgers offered. I’ve enjoyed both visits and plan on returning soon when I’m in the neighborhood.

We have been back to The Pint Room several times since my original review. The employees there now seem to be much more informed and knowledgeable about the beer selection than our first visits almost a year and a half ago. My husband orders a burger almost every time we visit and they are always cooked to perfection. He also always orders the spicy slaw, its really delicious. I have ordered the burger salad(topless) many times and enjoy it very much. Lately I have discovered the Shaved Brussels salad and I must say it is so incredibly tasty and balanced. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

The Pint Room gets extra credit simply by its birthright: It’s located in a place I love(Main Street, downtown Carmel) and it’s somewhat trendy. The problem is that it violates one of the unspoken rules of Carmel/Westfield/Zionsville dining: There’s just nothing here that separates it from the pack. For me to become a repeat customer, there needs to be something on the menu that I come back specifically to that restaurant to have again.

The Pint Room is so much more than a bar with 124 taps. They have an amazing menu of Kobe beef burgers, that rival any of the burger joints in town. I truthfully forget that Bub’s or Bru Burger are in Carmel. My fav is the Italian Stallion, which has fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, and roasted tomatoes on it. The Kobe beef is so lean and flavorful. I always get the sweet potato fries, which come with a speciality sauce that seems to have some chipotle seasoning. They also have some great apps– including the bottle caps(pickles) and the cheese curds. Obviously, they have a million beers, and I have to compliment the fact that they usually know what they have and which kegs may have ran out. This is a huge pet peeve of mine at other tap houses– if you’re going to carry a lot, know what you have!

The quintessential after-work place to go If you like the people you work with. If you don’t, go to some place like Scotty’s where there’s lots of distractions. This place focuses on beer and interpersonal communication around your table! There are TVs for sports but it’s just the perfect place for the simple task of sitting down and drinking a beer. End of story.

I love this place. They have more beers than you can try in a sitting and while that might be intimidating to some, what it really means is there will always be something you like. They have a great balance of local and national craft beers and plenty of different styles. I expected to be most impressed with the beer menus, but I was wrong. Their food is excellent high end bar food. Their bottle cap fried pickles are amazing. They have great wings and now they even have cheese curds. The burgers are great. There are tons of options for toppings. Some are traditional and some get very creative.

I’ve been on a burger kick lately. By lately, I mean my entire life. I was born with a cheeseburger obsession and, as I get older, it seems to only evolve into broader definition as to what constitutes a cheeseburger. I was formerly a strict traditional cheeseburger-eater. Mayonnaise was as crazy as I got. Now — bring it on. Give me your weirdest concoction. Imagine my delight when I opened the Pint Room menu to find the P-B-B & J Burger. Definitely not the weirdest concoction I’ve ever tried, but definitely one of the tastiest! Let’s take this house down to the studs. The burgers here are made with a mix of Kobe and prime chuck. A seriously solid foundation for any burger. Now add sea salted peanut butter, candied bacon, Monterey jack cheese, strawberry preserves, and fresh strawberry slices. If you want to know what heaven tastes like here’s your opportunity. Take a big, messy, delicious bite. Feel your heart swell with love. This burger is the best thing about Pint Room, in my humble opinion. That is not to say there aren’t other great things! The fries are pretty good. The onion rings are clearly superior. The Apricot Melt was fairly okay. I’m glad I had it, but probably won’t ever order it again. They calamari was divine. Pickle chips, eh. Jo-Jo’s a solid good. The root beer is on tap behind the bar and de.lect.a.ble. To say their beer selection is impressive is an understatement. I fell in love with Illusive Traveler Grapefruit Shandy in a comfortable booth in the back on a sunny afternoon. Our introduction was thanks to Crystan — the lovely woman who provided some seriously top-of-the-line service. She delivered the right amount of friendly and pleasant, without ever hovering. Product knowledge wizard. She knows her stuff and if you’re lucky enough to sit at one of her tables, take her advice. The inside is comfortable, if a bit hipster. That staff has not been short on smiles in my experience. Last, but not least, the location is great as well. Just off main street and shares a sidewalk with a parking garage. If you hate street parking as much as I do, this is a really big plus! Bottom line, this place is great!

I don’t even know where to begin. I was in town for a work trip and my co-workers chose this place for a happy hour event for 11 of us. We had tables around the bar area, which was nice and the restaurant/bar itself was really nice. Very cool atmosphere. The service on the other hand… OUCH. I am pretty sure she was on drugs of some sort. If not, then she had a stroke right before we came in. She greeted us fine, and took our appetizer order and a few of our beer orders. About 2 minutes later she walks up, empty-handed and asked if we’d like to start with some apps. WHAT?! Yes, we would, we just ordered them. She looked confused and then opened her book and saw that she wrote our order down. She then asked if she could get us drinks. Yup, we ordered those too. Next, she brought us Guinness’, which we most certainly did not order. She walked around confused for a minute before returning the beers to the bar. A couple minutes later she walked out and handed the Guinness’ to the table next to us. So bizarre. We finally got our beers, seriously like 15 minutes after we ordered them. Then our apps came, but we only had like 3 plates and 6 sets of silverware, it was really weird. Not to mention the number of trips she made to ask us for more drinks, when we literally just got our first round. She was slurring her words, messing up orders, and taking forever to bring drinks. It was astonishing. We actually at one point looked around for the ABC«What Would You Do» crew. We thought it had to be a prank show. Our experience was capped off by me going to the restroom, hearing her cracking up in the stall next to me, while she was spinning an empty toilet paper roll. It was beyond scary. Our bill was wrong, not surprisingly, and I think everyone left a little terrified. Honestly, I was more scared for her well being than anything, but management should have seen this and taken action accordingly. She was in no shape to be on the clock. The food and beers were good, but not nearly good enough to balance out the service we received.

So, second time there. First time was about 2 months ago and we didn’t stay as they had a hour and a half wait to be seated. This time we did. So when going need to be aware of time and day going it will matter on how busy they are. Our server was nice even if we did keep her coming back a few times to see if we were ready. Their having an awesome menu and us being so hungry we couldn’t make up or minds was not a good combo. In the end we settled on The Triple(smoked cheddar, boneless short ribs, double smoked bacon and horseradish slaw) and the Bison(ground Buffalo, apple bacon chutney, blue cheese, red onion and baby frisee). To go along with all this wonderful food they have is their HUGE selection of craft brews. If you are not sure what you want or only want a little they offer sample sizes of 4 ounces for $ 2. This way I was able to have an amazing stout and try something new that our server suggested. It paired with my meal really well, just like she said it would. Not one I would normally get, or would get again add it’s not the kind I like, but it did go well together.

124 taps of fine craft beer automatically gets you four stars. Upland, Bier Brewery, 3 Floyds, Quaff On, Triton, Founder’s, Flat12, Sun King, Victory, Lagunitas, Abita, Brugge, Outliers, Country Boy, Scarlet Lane, People’s, Oskar Blues… it’s Carmel’s HopCat without the crack fries. Food-wise, my experience was unique, as I participated in one of The Pint Room’s beer dinners: six courses + six beer pairings for $ 60. If my small plates foreshadowed what items off of the regular menu taste like, then tack on another four stars for food: good quality, Hoosier-approved cuisine with a few surprise elements(i.e. crab + kettle corn). Plus, sitting amongst a packed house tells me that there are many happy campers who come in and out of this gastropub. I’ll be back to test out a burger for sure, especially since I’m guaranteed a good brew!

Have been to the Pint Room twice in the past month since moving to Carmel. Was in for dinner last night, thought the visit was, in general, very good. For food, I had the crab cake melt. It came on an english muffin with crispy onion strings, greens, and melted cheese, obviously. It was a great sandwich, I would definitely order it again. Onto the more important part of the Pint Room, though, the beer. The Pint Room has 100 plus taps. So the pluses in the department would be, they have over 100+ taps. Unfortunately the downside of that is, they have 100+ taps. With so many offerings, things don’t turn over very quickly. I think they had a Mikkeller event end of February, and some of those beers are still lingering on the tap list. Essentially just taking up space for something else that could be put on. With so many beers on, things just don’t turnover very quickly and if there’s nothing new on the list and nothing I want to go back to grab seconds of, it delays return visits. Now, while others complain about price point for the Pint Room in general, I would tend to disagree. The beers at the Pint Room can be expensive, though $ 10 for a pour of something special(like Green Flash Silva Stout last night, for instance), $ 10 is reasonable. Twenty Tap in Broad Ripple has $ 10 pours for limited release beers regularly, so does Hopcat. Having lived in DC and norCal, a $ 10 pour is expensive but not uncommon for something special. Last night they had multiple Alpine beers(from soCal, always hard to get even in CA and brand new to IN) and they were very modestly priced at $ 5 and $ 7 a pint. I was thrilled. The complaints about the practice of selling short pours for $ 1.75 but not handing out free samples is an unwarranted in my opinion. Part of the fun of craft beer is TRYINGNEWBEERS, so order a flight of tasters as part of the experience. And in addition, if every craft beer newbie is looking for free samples, the establishment simply has to deal with the annoyance of accomodating that request. I don’t think it has anything to do with $ as much as a place not wanting to pour 100 samples every night. My last note, which is where they lose a star(from 4 down to 3 for me), is the service. One of the members of my party ordered a hamburger well done last night, and then his wife ordered medium well. The server made a face like, «you’ve got to be kidding me.» Then proceeded to mention, «we highly recommend you get our burgers medium or medium rare.» After his lecture he didn’t even remember what they ordered, they had to each repeat. My wife also ordered a bourbon-barrel aged stout and was then questioned about whether she could handle it and if she knew what she was getting in to. Personally, that kind of stuff rubs me the wrong way; the customer is always right, just take the order and smile. All this said, I will likely return regularly as long as the tap offerings continue to include high quality items.

I have really grown to love Pint Room. I’ve been here several times, and only once have I not had a pleasant experience. I am upping my rating. My favorites on the menu are the PBBJ and the buffalo chicken. This place really knows how to handle an event. I went to the Mikkeller event, and everything was handled smoothly and professionally(MUCH better than events at HopCat). Also, the pricing is much better than HopCat. This place is now my first choice of the two. Keep up the good work!
