The Naked Monkey

I came in with a friend and decided to do something too. I didn’t have an appt. but they squeezed me in and she did an awesome job and the staff was all very nice! We will definitely be back!

I’m not connoisseur of waxing places, but I find that the Naked Monkey is a reliable spot to get my furrowed brow properly arched and beautiful. They use a wax and products that doesn’t really irritate my skin, which is awesome.
This is purely a hair removal place, so don’t mistake it for a spa. It’s comfortable and clean and all that, but there are no robes, no cucumber water, etc.
But for a sensable brow wax, it’s where I continue to go. And they can generally fit me in last minute or within the week for sure.

The first time I got a brazilian wax was great. The second time, I can’t remember who waxed me but the woman waxed about 1 – 1.5 inches down my thighs, which means now I have hair where I didn’t before! It’s very annoying that now I have to deal with hair on my thighs where I didn’t have it before. The facility is clean and the women were professional, but I won’t come here ever again – I don’t want hair growing all the way down my thighs!

I’ve now had Amanda and Danielle do my waxes and they are great! This place is clean and the staff is very friendly! I will never go anywhere else for my waxing needs. :)

Stopped into the Fishers, location and when I walked up to the counter, she said name! Not Hi, how are you? Can I help you? I was the only one in the Naked Monkey, but you would have thought the place was packed. Not sure what the rush was about, but how is that customer service? I tried to get info. on the place and she was short and abrupt. I turned around and left. Too many other places that want my business. Disappointing!

I have been frequenting The Naked Monkey for a few years and I have given them good business but they lost it today. I had an appointment a simple eyebrow wax and rushed in five minutes late with a toddler in tow. Well I was told the person I had an appointment with took her other client because they were early and I was late and they had no more appointments today. Because I had to fill a new card I was now told I was seven minutes late and I could reschedule for another day. I have been going here without missing or canceling an appointment for three years and five minutes late they took their other client. Not to mention I have waited over 10 minutes at times because they were running late but did not complain because that is the way t goes, I know. However, they can’t extend the same for their loyal clients… well, I am no more a client.

I ONLY let Naked Monkey salons wax me, PERIOD. I have extremely sensitive skin and they are the only people who know how to wax me without breaking out or having a reaction. They are also really great at listening to you and what you want. They aren’t cheap, but use their app and play the match game to get $ 10 off, I do this every time and makes if affordable! I don’t think they take walk-​ins, but it’s worth it to make the appointment.

My stressful day was capped with struggling through rush hour traffic and trouble finding Naked Monkey’s location (thanks, Google…). However, though I walked in the door frazzled, the receptionist was so graciously welcoming, she instantly helped turn my day around. And that was nothing compared to the flash facial from Danielle. I can’t say I’ve had a TON of facials, but I’ve had a few (thanks, Groupon!), and honestly, this was the most soothing and relaxing one I’ve ever had, and it was the short version! And all the products used on my face felt and smelled amazing. I walked out of the Naked Monkey a completely different person. Thank you, NM!

After the closing of my neighborhood spa, I was forced to find a new place for eyebrow waxing.
To say that the Naked Monkey is like a spa experience would be inaccurate. You don’t have the relaxing music, subtle lighting, or the aromatherapy experience that traditionally accompanies the waxing. Instead, there are no frills– get in and get out. Also, don’t think that their rates are any better than a spa… They are the same, if not more expensive (in my case).
That being said, they did do a nice job. I was happy with the results, and I would go again.

The staff is SO nice and pleasant.
They use various types of waxes for the different types of body hair, which leaves you very smooth!
Mary Witt is amazing at her job! She makes you feel very comfortable. She is speedy and bikini waxes are much less painful with her due to her technique and use of the various waxes.
They also sell some great products, such as exfoliating serum and an exfoliating scrubber which work very well. I highly recommend Naked Monkey!

No need to look anywhere else! These ladies know how to take care of ALL your waxing needs. Very friendly, timely, efficient and they’ve got mad waxing skills.
Mary is my go to there and she does a brilliant job! The price is high at first but when you keep scheduling your next appointments it goes down. Worth the amount though!

Went to the Monkey exclusively for about a year when my first aesthetician stopped. Loved Kayla — good service, good results, nice atmosphere. I try to visit her any time I’m back in town still. Referred friends that still go as well. Varied wax for appropriate area & good prices. I’m a huge fan — haven’t found another salon like it in current cities.

I wanted to get some waxing done before my wedding and honeymoon this summer. I did a search and found the Naked Monkey. I called and booked my appointment and was told what I needed to do prior to arriving. The day of my appointment, I was a bit nervous (worried that waxing the underarms would be painful!) but I was put completely at ease by the staff. They made this experience so effortless. At all times, they were efficient, professional and informative. I wish I had found them sooner!
I have since been back for a second appointment for the armpits, bikini and brows and already have 2 more appointments scheduled. For those three areas, I was in and out of there within 30 minutes. Talk about efficient!
I feel completely confident walking in there as a hairy beast and walking out as a new woman. Seriously, don’t shave for a month and see if you don’t feel like a hairy beast!

Monkey is always professional when scheduling, paying, etc. The décor is adorable playing up the monkey theme but in a way that is fun. They always have a special item for sale that usually changes each visit. I bought a loofah for the shower which a year later is still an amazing investment. Watch for groupons, and facebook likes for discounts. I usually take advantage of the book ahead option. I don’t go year round so when I returned to prep for summer I had a new person. She didn’t miss a bit it went as well as the previous person.
I have had both the Brazilian and the French and was equally pleased with the results.

Went here for my first time last week. normally I like to wait a few days to a week before reviewing a waxing place… well, they have won my business. =) Got there 15 minutes early on a Saturday and was seen right away, awesome! They rarely used any wax (well, less than normal). and my brows are still looking awesome a week later. I still have to do some touch ups but that is expected.
