When someone calls you and tells you they have waited over a year, but are ready to cut their very long, dumpy, ugly hair into a nice, professional bob, tell them you can’t do that. Don’t make them wait three weeks for that appointment, arriving so excited and happy, only to tell them that you only cut long hair… with no layers (I mean, honestly, **I** could cut hair with no layers!!!). Yes, I’m grateful you didn’t go ahead and cut it, even though you don’t DO that. But my disappointment is enormous. And you can’t know, of course, that this was the first nice thing I was doing for myself in a very, very long time. You can’t know, of course, that even though I understand that a mere haircut won’t change the fact that I’m ugly and dumpy and fat, I had myself convinced that the change would do me good and maybe, possibly make me FEEL less dumpy. I’ve been so excited. And now I’m at home. And I feel burned, and sad, and completely deflated. So, next time, don’t make someone wait three weeks to tell them you can’t cut their hair. Just tell them on the phone so they can move on to another stylist who CAN cut hair.

I love Kathy Hietpas at studio 19, Be*You*tiful Hair Studio. She has been my stylist for at least 5 years. The Sola Salons are great for the stylist because they set the hours for their own space and decorate/​set it up to their own needs and personal taste. Kathy has is amazing. She stays up to date on the latest in hair trends. She has cut my hair in a very short pixie for years and I constantly get strangers saying that my hair is cute and they want to know who cuts it. Kathy will also politely give advice if she thinks the cut or color you want won’t look good on you (not the right face shape, color will wash you out etc.).

I love this place! My stylist, Lacy Montalvo, recently moved here from another salon and it was the best thing ever! All the studios are different, but it is a nice, clean, organized salon that allows stylists to have their own space.

Great place. Each salon is different. I went to Hannah Branda. She was great. Reasonable pricing. Washed my hair before and after cut. Highly recommended.

I love Sola! The place is very clean and all the studios are always organized. It’s a fun, yet professional business. I get my hair done with Bonnie Benshoof (studio 3). She’s been a professional for over 20 years and she’s great! Sola only hires the best! :)
