If you are looking for a mailbox, don’t come here. They do not have any mailboxes in stock. For a very large hardware and garden store, this was very surprising. It seems odd that they stocked baseball mitts and other toys, but not mailboxes. They reason for the 2 starts is not because of the lack of mailboxes, but because 3 employees in the back that were standing around chatting with only one another, didn’t act the least helpful with referring us to another hardware store that might have them.

This place is the best. What I dream of for a hardware store. Almost worth living in Carmel just to have this place near bye.
Seriously now, the store is well organized, has an excellent assortment of tools and hardware and we found some BBQ stuff we did not even come in for, Items we never saw at OSH. I really am a fan. And excellent knowledgeable and friendly people working there.

Located in the old Britton’s building. Great selection of merchandise — solid brand names. Anything from grill accessories to kitchen ware to tools to wood and a small plant section.
They also do propane tank swaps!

Carmel Valley Village, CA
The store was having a Grand Opening. We stopped in just to look around. I checked out the hardware section again and am impressed by the amount of items they carry. My wife headed into the furniture, housewares section and came out with one item to buy. So far, it’s a nice looking store; I just wonder if it will generate enough business to make it.
