Friendly and knowledgable staff, good selection of firearms and accessories, reasonably priced, state of the art indoor shooting range, and frequent sales on ammunition… need I say more?!

Went here to shoot for the first time. Recommend getting ear muffs over ear plugs vecuase it was busy and loud inside the range. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pricey to rent everything for an hour though

My best friend and I went for a girls day last Saturday. I was a bit nervous as I hadn’t shot in awhile, but the staff is extremely friendly and had no issues answering our questions. The range is awesome, very clean and well maintained. They have a large variety of guns you can rent or you’re also welcome to bring your own. Pricing is very reasonable, just get there early on the weekends, there were a ton of people there at 11am. They also have a class just for ladies once a month that I’m seriously considering. Lots of fun, will absolutely be back!

Have been here twice so far, the first time to just look around the second time to shoot. Really nice indoor range and the staff has been great the two times I’ve been. They answered my questions and were very helpful. The day I went to shoot was pretty busy as was the first time I visited. Checking in can take a bit but not too bad. Upon entering the range I went to my assigned bay and had a good time. Targets are $ 1 which is reasonable. I didn’t ask if I could bring my own but I thought they had a good selection of targets to pick from. The store is really well stocked and the prices seemed fairly reasonable. I ended up buying a new pistol so I’m looking forward to shooting here more. The prices seem to be pretty reasonable based on my research of other area gun ranges. Look’s like this will be a popular destination and I saw a lot of women and kids shooting so it looks to be fairly family friendly.

Excellent customer service, clean, and pleasant atmosphere. I went to Point Blank on the day I was in a large outdoor retailer in Castleton to buy a Glock 43. Several of us were waiting for at least half an hour and another customer told me about point blank because he decided to go there. Walking into point blank was a much better experience from start to finish. I wasn’t pounced on or ignored. The lady who sold me the new handgun was very knowledgable and professional. There are certain gun stores-ranges you go into and get the instant feeling of everyone being on edge & nervous or get talked to like a toddler. These people put you at ease from the moment you walk in whether at the store or entering the range. I’m not a novice or an expert… wherever you rank yourself, they put you at ease. True, compared to some ranges… they may cost a little more as some have mentioned, but the ammo in the store is priced right and my new glock was $ 50 less than the big box gun store. I’m happy to pay a few more dollars for a great looking facility and courteous staff instead of going somewhere rundown or a place where everyone’s on defcon 1. There was a well represented demographic of customers on my most recent visit. A couple, law enforcement officer, older gentleman, and a few younger guys… this was certainly not a good olé boys club… anyone would feel welcomed at this facility. Point Blank is my go to range and I’d recommend it to everyone. Thanks for the excellent experience.

My family was doing a staycation and decided to try a different activity each day. We decided on a shooting range for one of the activities and I brought up that a new one just opened up in Carmel called Point Blank. I’ve been shooting before and I’ve been to roughly 10 different indoor ranges and I have to say… this one is GREAT. It could be because it is brand new and with time it will look like any other range, but right now it feels like what a shooting range should feel like in upscale Carmel. We used 4 Groupons for a pretty good deal to get 4 lanes, 4 rentals, a couple boxes of ammo and some targets. Everyone started off with handguns and had fun. I had shot handguns for a while, but never super cool rifles like they had hanging in the lobby ready to be rented. I asked the range officer if we can swap out guns and get a rifle and they said sure. You can see by the video below, the type of rifle I got and it was a blast(no pun intended). I had never shot an assault style rifle before and it was an awesome experience. If you are a seasoned shooter or a complete newbie, I recommend this range. Very friendly staff, helpful instructions if you are new and a world-class facility to release some steam, improve your accuracy, or just plain learn how to handle a gun.

Great spot. Brand new so it’s clean! Friendly, helpful service, which is always hard to find at a gun shop. Not intimidating.

This was my wife and I’s first time ever going to a gun range and her first time she has ever shot a gun. My preconceived notion of what a gun range would be like was completely wrong. This was one of the most professional business that I have ever been to. My wife wanted to learn to shot a gun but was very uncomfortable with it. By the end of the visit she was hooked, they were very helpful and excellent at the safety portion of the business. I would recommend this place to everyone and we will be back for the Friday date night special!!!

The range is state-of-the-art, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. They are safety minded but not to the point of being annoying. This is basically what every gun range should aspire to be. The store part had really good selection. UPDATE: After purchasing a firearm at Point Blank, I changed their rating from five stars to three. They sold me a .22 that had been extensively damaged by a salesman who had been dry firing it repeatedly. The store refuses to take it back, even though I have photographic evidence that they damaged the gun, and now I am out $ 200 and I have a useless gun. Be sure to thoroughly inspect any gun you buy from them, because some of their salesman do not know how to care for guns and they won’t refund you for a gun they broke. BOTTOMLINE: This is a great place to shoot, but buy your guns and supplies elsewhere.

This is a VERY clean facility with lot’s of lanes(20 lanes of 25 yards that accommodate both handguns and rifles) and it’s not crowed at all at the times I frequent(during late afternoons and weekend mornings). Staff manning the front and the range officers are very friendly. The gun-store is large and spacious. They have tons of handgun/ammo/rifle selections but I haven’t used that service yet. They do send out periodic email notification about discounts and promos(like free range time during Father’s day !) There is a glass pane where you can look into the range from the store and observe the shooters(that’s a plus if your significant other may not want to join you inside the range, but she can still observe the shooting safely). I love the fact that they allow to bring your own bi-metal/steel cased ammo for both the hand guns and rifles for range use, unlike another place where these type of ammo are absolutely prohibited. The only type that I heard were not allowed in the range were tracers and real armor piercing bullets. You can also bring your targets and do not need to purchase the store provided targets. The range fees are bit higher than what’s posted on their website for ranges in Ohio. I guess they set the price for Carmel customers. In fact, on the average, expect to pay about $ 3 to $ 4 higher range fee than another competitor range nearby. You can make up the difference if you usually shoot steel-cased ammo. The first time range users will also have to pay«liability waver fee» — for the convenience of not having to sign the liability form during every visit. It’s about $ 5 per year. The competitor does this for free, though! I observed that in certain lanes, the gun smoke doesn’t dissipate as quickly as the competitor near by. The smoke does drifts away from the shooter though, unlike in one of the competitor’s lanes where the smoke drifts toward the left side, not away from you. The only time I felt uncomfortable was in a lane that was HOT. I had to step out of the lane frequently to get a blast of cool air coming out from a vent at the rear ceiling. For whatever reason, the lane I was in did not get much of cool air and I was sweating like a pig.(Probably the muffler on the ears didn’t help either). Obviously, as my long review indicates, I like the place, but they have room for improvement to attract more customers.

After much dispute, Point Blank has been built and in business. Great addition to the Carmel neighborhood! It’s what you expect from a shooting range, albeit it’s Carmel chic in design. The prices are deceptively expensive. I went with my significant other for his birthday as we have both never shot guns and thought it would be cool(and handy if we ever get into an argument … kidding .kind of). Here is how I remember the cost breakdown: Lane Rental — ~$ 24(lane plus second person) Liability Waiver — $ 3/person Targets — $ 1/person Ear Protection — $ 3/person Eye Protection — $ 2/person Gun Rental — ~$ 10 Ammunition — $ 12/box(2 boxes needed for 1 hour — and you have to use theirs if you rent a gun) …and a few other costs I dont remember because I spent like $ 90 and I didn’t add any perks. However, cost aside, the staff was for the most part helpful. The man ringing me up felt like a debt collector who kept adding fees. I would ask questions such as ‘what gun would you recommend?’ ‘do we need ear plugs or full blown ear protection?’. He didn’t offer much. However, the man inside the range was fully aware that we were newbies and he gave us a tutorial on gun shooting and made it a point to stop by often to check on us! Overall, very cool experience that I would do again for a special occassion.
