Jarilyn’s Spa Retreat

I have been looking for a good aesthetician for a long time and I finally found her! I loved the facial along with the complimentary hand massage and warming. The spa is lovely, smells great and all natural. The products Jarilyn uses are fabulous. I will definitely be going back.

I wasn’t sure what type of facial to get so I left that up to Jarilyn and it was one of the best facials I have had! As someone else mentioned it is not just about the facial but the experience. She has been blessed with terrific hands and not only do you get an organic facial but a hand, arm, shoulder, neck, scalp and face massage. She also gives you a warm hand treatment to go along with the massage. She takes her time and doesn’t rush. She also gave me an eye treatment at no cost as my appointment was delayed about 5 minutes as the new landlord stopped by. She is very accommodating and sweet and her rates are very reasonable. I definitely will return to try the gold or stone facial that everyone is raving about. She also sells the products that she uses for your treatment which is another plus.

My first visit to Jarilyn’s Spa Retreat has me hooked! I have a new obsession = Jarilyn’s Gold Facial. I’m a VERY BUSY mom to a newborn and a pre-​schooler (plus full-​time job plus online business plus, plus, plus) and my time cannot be wasted on mediocre beautification treatments. I chose Jarilyn because she was the only esthetician on Unilocal with all 5-​STAR reviews. And now, I know why.
Less than 24 hours ago, I experienced the ultimate in pampering with Jarilyn. Her small, soft hands gently uplifted my spirits and shaved years off my face with her delicate, purposeful touch. She exfoliated my skin with a delicious enzyme (non-​abrasive) concoction; steamed and purified my pores wonderfully; moisturized and massaged my face/​neck/​lymph drainage/​shoulders/​arms/​hands all while explaining every step. The GOLD FACIAL is exquisite! I now understand why Cleopatra lived her life bathing/​eating/​drinking gold. I woke up this morning and my skin is noticeably more plump, uplifted with a youthful ‘glow’ I can only attribute to the amazing 90+minute facial.
Jarilyn formulates her product line and one of the first things she told me was that her products include ORGANIC ingredients and DO NOT CONTAIN PARABENS. She read my mind! I’m all about clean, organic beauty products and felt so confident about the goodies my skin was about to absorb. Every delicious cream smelled heavenly and she was generous with her application, which is important to me. I was surrounded by warmth from the moment I walked in, from her genuine and kind disposition (Jarilyn loves skin care!) to her knowledge base to the warm-​mit hand treatment. She customized my facial and included a complimentary eye treatment which I so needed.
Her spa retreat is SPOTLESS CLEAN, smells like lemongrass and includes those small details (jewelry box; soft lighting; short questionnaire that she actually reads and discusses with you; spotless bathroom; water; soothing music; etc.) I truly appreciate. I simply adore the flower mural on the ceiling, so gorgeous. Although she’s in prime real-​estate in Carmel, her pricing is AMAZINGLY affordable and she gave me a generous first-​time discount. Not to mention how generous she was with her time. I received all of her attention while there — no other clients came in the door, no phones ringing, no listening to messages — absolutely no other distractions.
I cannot wait for my next visit. I will buy a package of three this time where the 4^th facial is FREE. I can’t say enough about how truly relaxing and amazing my 100% pampering experience at Jarilyn’s was. She is as good as it gets!

Went today because I had a Groupon for a facial. AMAZING experience: so relaxing and she is so sweet! My skin looks awesome.
She was also willing to take an Groupon that had expired, which is way too nice of her.

This is the best place I have found for a facial. Jarilyn is so kind and welcoming and her studio is lovely and relaxing. She really knows how to make you feel special and cared for. When she has called me to remind me about my upcoming appointment, she always says «I am looking forward to pampering you» and pamper she does!
This is not just about a facial, she includes a shoulder and arm massage, scalp massage, and facial massage. She also did some acupressure on my face. And then she topped off the facial with a hand treatment to make them super soft. I come out of my appointments with Jarilyn feeling relaxed and refreshed and my skin looking great. I am now making monthly appointments with Jarilyn –her prices are reasonable and the experience is outstanding.
I highly recommend Jarilyn if you are looking for a topnotch facial experience in Carmel!

I recently had an overnight in Carmel and thought I’d pamper myself with a facial. Unilocal led me to Jarilyn in the first place and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. I received the 90 minute facial with the gold mask and enjoyed every minute.
The space was very surprisingly large (sometimes I find even the most reputed spas have facial treatment rooms that are quite small) and airy. Being a first time client, I was glad that Jarilyn explained the process beforehand and during the facial as well.
I am so glad I went with Jarilyn on this getaway trip and am pleased to highly recommend Jarilyn’s Spa retreat to anyone who wants an exceptional spa experience.

I highly recommend this place. Jarilyn is awesome on what she does. She is very experienced and know how to take care of her clients skin concerns and needs. I first met her when she used to work at ther old Spa in Benicia. I am really glad that I decided to try her services. We all know that facials and skin cares cost so much and that’s why we like to invest in a great place with a high expectation of getting back what we deserved. With Jarilyn’s Spa Retreat, I can guarantee that you will never be disappointed. I would love to drive down several hours every month just to see her as much if I could.
Since every skin is really unique, she works on the issues that you have. It’s like having customized facial everytime. You really feel that she cares for your skin and satisfaction and not all for the money. I honestly spent more money somewhere else before and ended up leaving disappointed with a red face and left over black heads that should have beed extracted :/​

I recently went to Carmel and wanted to do something nice for myself. I thought a facial might be nice and I saw an interesting treatment called, «Euro — Stone & Jade Facial». It’s a facial with hot/​cold stones and crystals on your face. I have been looking to get a facial with hot stones. I think a facial and hot stones on the face would go well together, but I haven’t really found much in my area. When I saw this treatment, I had to schedule an appointment and I’m glad I did. The facial was unbelievable and when the hot stones were on my face, it felt soooo good. I instantly relaxed. The crystals felt good too and felt they were relieving tension from my face. My face looked really good afterwards. I would recommend this place if you are in Carmel.

After the northern winter my visit to Monterey yielded some sun and wind… so the skin rejuv was right on time. I look fabulous!

When it comes to pampering myself I am a Bay Area Expert and have become quite picky about who works with my skin. I work down in Carmel and just by happenstance found Jarilyn. Jarilyn’s Spa Retreat is by far the best that I have found anywhere. My 40 something skin has been completely revitalized since I have been seeing Jarilyn regularly. The radiance of your skin lasts for days and the health of my skin has never been better. I am extremely sensitive to products and Jarilyn’s line of Organic, Non-​Processed Skin Products (and buh leeve me I have tried them all…) are the most satiating and nourishing that I have found.
