This is a GREAT high end consignment store. I got a beautiful St. John jacket, a Lauren sweater, a vintage garnet brooch — I could go on, but there is a lot of good stuff here. Can’t wait to travel back to see what’s new.

Now under new management, this place is much improved. Lots of inventory and friendly staff. The negatives? The prices are very high for the items they are selling. I’m not interested in paying $ 40+ for a beat up JCrew sweater. Also, the items definitely cater to an older crowd or are VERY dated. Every so often they get some great purses, so I’ll return to check things out occasionally.

So glad I stopped in yesterday! This shop has always had a nice selection of designer labels from some of the ‘tony’ little boutiques in the area, but I was surprised at just how many items are still new with tags! Boutique items without the boutique price-great way to shop for gifts. I saw my favorite of labels, Missoni, and probably more St John knits than the closest Nordstrom. Left with a nice purchase and the feeling that I’d be checking in more often…

Good luck shopping here! The sign on the door lists their hours today as opening @ 10am. It is almost noon and… nobody bothered to open the store or update the sign. Phone message says nothing about unexpected closure. Way to run a business… NOT!!!

I made an appt. to consign items here, & then made an appt. to pick up my items that didn’t sell, and pick up a check. On both occasions, the owner seemed surprised and rather put out that I was there for an appt., even though I had made an appt. with her. While she was initially sorting through my consignments, I was waiting & she told me to not stand there with her(so rude!) In every situation, she made me feel very unwelcome and awkward. I really felt like reminding her that without my consignments, & other people’s, she wouldn’t have much of a business. I, too felt that the 60⁄40 split was not good. However, if I would have been treated with dignity, the 60⁄40 split wouldn’t have been an issue. I won’t be consigning my designer clothes here again. It was not a good experience. The owner & clerks need to take some classes in customer service!

None of our monthly day-trips from Menlo Park to Carmel would be complete without a stop at Deja’s to see what Rainy has gotten«in» and on occasion to bring down(and reluctantly part with) some high quality rarely worn vintage clothes which have gotten a little«tight» on me. Deja Vu «rocks» ! Mary and Juergen

I enjoy shopping here. Rainy is helpful and offers sound advise when I am interested in a pricey purchase. Never any pressure. The store is clean and nicely organized. I send all my friends there.

Got a great gold mesh hairband with a sweet little bow! We also scored a leopard patterned beaded evening bag with great potential, and a casual black ruffled evening shirt to dress up any pair of pants. Great salestaff helps to find and define style. Their every changing inventory makes each shopping trip unique!

I wanted a pair of cowboy boots but didn’t want to pay full price. I found a perfect pair of Ariat boots for a very fair price. I was so excited I almost wore them out of the store!

Deja Vu offers high end clothing, shoes and accessories at reasonable prices. Most of the clothing is in good condition so that it is not obvious that it has been worn or used before. I found a lovely pair of Ferragamo heels in a color that was not available in retail stores and matched my dress perfectly. A classic black wool pencil skirt from Germany was in perfect condition and very inexpensive. This is a great place to shop before heading to the department stores: much better quality at affordable prices.

I use to shop and bring clothes to put on consignment at Deja Vu in the past. I often did very well placing my clothes on consignment that I did not want anymore at this store. I also liked occasionally purchasing clothing here. The store itself has changed hands so many times over the years. Although each manager has been very nice and friendly, the changing of management has made me less inclined to bring items here for consignment. Also, consignees get 40% of the profit from any of their items that were purchased while in the store. Management gets 60%. There is a policy that if you purchase something in the store, there are no returns or exchanges. I can understand that the store is anxious to pay the consignees and get a profit. But, they really should let customers be able to return merchandise within a few days if there is something wrong with it. I purchased a two piece pants and top once there. There was a tear in the crotch of the pants and the shirt was missing some of its rhinestones. Usually, I really examine what I plan to buy if it is used but this time I did not. I tried to return the clothing set on the next day and was told that there were no returns. There went my $ 30 down the drain. All I could do was give the manager, the code number that was on the price tag. Each consignee get a code number that is written up on each item they have for sale in the store. At least, maybe next time when that consignee brought in more items for consignment, the management would examine more closely the items before they place them out to sell. But the fact that I bought a damaged item at Deja Vu with no ability to return it, I especially felt less inclined to shop there or bring in my items for consignment. Too bad, as this store use to profit a lot from the items I brought in to sell! Pros: –nice staff(although management keeps on changing) –has unique high quality consignment clothing –great selection of jewelry Cons: –always examine what you purchase here because although rarely, the item might be damaged –no returns or exchanges –lack of plus size clothing –prices on merchandise have gone up gradually –just came recently in 2015, is this store even still a consignment store?
