I love Clarks shoes… the more I have, the better as far as I’m concerned. For comfort, quality, and longevity, you can’t beat Clarks! So, this store is like heaven on earth for me. Apparently I am not alone in my assessment of this brand and the namesake shop in Clay Terrace because the place was packed tighter than a can of sardines on my most recent stop. I didn’t even try anything on during my Saturday afternoon stop to ogle the boots, purses and rows of shoes… best to hit Clarks during the week unless you’re very, very patient and have time to kill. In all fairness to the staff, the store was having a pretty decent sale on my last visit, with some styles as much as $ 20 or so off. Though I often see other brands and styles I like elsewhere at cheaper prices, experience has taught me to stick with Clarks when I’m buying shoes that are going to get lots of wear and not just sit there looking pretty — this is not the place for Manolo Blahnik wannabes, but it is THE place for footwear that will take you from the parking lot that is a ¼ mile from your office, through a busy day and back that ¼ mile — in relative style and absolute comfort!
