I called the owner this morning and explained the knives I had and what I wanted done. He was out on call in Monterey but said he was more than happy to come by my house later if it fit my schedule. I texted him and received an immediate response and he was at my house in no time. Upon arrival he grabbed my two knives and went right to work. 15 minutes later I had two very sharp knives and he was off to make another happy customers day. Sean will sharpen all my knives as long as I live in Monterey. Great service, awesome communication and very reasonable prices. Blade Tech is the best!

Sean sharpened 8 of my knives recently and did a fantastic job. He is friendly and very accommodating — he arranged a meeting time for me at the last minute and I have recommended him to my other chef friends and clients.
Whether you’ve got fine German chef’s tools or basic kitchen knives, he gets the job done right!

I try to have my knives sharpened once a year for home use before the holidays. It’s a lot easier to slice the turkey or prime rib with sharp knives. This year it was after the holidays; however, Blade Tech and Sean did a wonderful job on my three knives. I left the knives with Sean at the Salinas Oldtown Farmer’s Market and I picked them up a couple hours later. This is the second year I used their services and I am completely happy with the results!
