Ok, my girl and i went on a friday. Super packed so we waited about 20 min or so. Not a problem cause like i said, super busy. I’ll get right to it. I ordered a strip steak and pepperjack mac n cheese. My girl ordered a simple Ruben. Her ruben was pitch black burnt on the outside to which or very young server said and i quote«o well most of or customers like it like that». To which i replied«I doubt that dear». My mac n cheese was nothing but whole jalapeños. Totally gross. On the up side my steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly, thank god or i may have really flipped my lid. The owner was bussing tables and i know the wait staff was trying hard with the volume of people. I will try you guys out again. I think it was just to damn busy this particular day and just not enough wait staff and kitchen staff. So for now 2 stars for a great steak. I’ve heard good things of this restaurant but really hope they deliver on my next visit

Great place. Was fishing the Oak Orchard River all morning and we needed a lunch. Local bait and tackle shop recommended the place. Lots of parking. Clean bathroom. Had a rub and wing special. ¼ rack of bbq smoked ribs that fell off the bone. Delicious. Also came with 6 huge wings that were smoked then deep fried to perfection. Bbq sauce was great. Also came with some Chipotle Mac salad and baked beans with real bacon and a cup of French onion soup. All that with a soda $ 13.00. Two thumbs up for Ho– Jacks. Server was kind of short at first but then started being more open. Great place.

Took the family out to dinner. We have not been to HoJacks under the new management. Had no problem finding something for everyone as the menu has ample choices. Chicken wings to start were fall off the bone terrific. Burgers were juicy and the service was friendly. Casual, comfortable and reasonable prices. There is a lot of history in this area and it’s fun to walk the walls to learn from the historical photographs and stories while eating a family meal.

I had high hopes for this place. The menu had really amazing and enticing options but, I took the servers suggestion and ordered the penne and broccoli and it was a tasteless, soupy mess. The penne was so overcooked that the entire dish turned into mush. On the bright side, the fried pickles are amazing. Very dill, thick, crispy and very tasty. Super, super busy on a Friday night and I noticed the owner or manage being very snappy with the waitresses. No bueno.

I am surprised there are no other reviews on this place. First off on a Friday or Saturday night make a reservation, they get super busy! It is a cute place way out in Carlton, not much around. It isn’t your typical fried food, subs and pizza place. Some deliciously sounding and unique menu items at a good price. Well for this area it might seems a little high but try to get the same meal in Buffalo or Rochester for these prices. Service was very friendly and accommodating. I love that any server walking by will clear plates or fill your drinks. Food runners don’t just drop your food and run they make sure you have everything you need. They also don’t stand there«raffling» your food. I hate that. The onion soup was delicious, loved that they offer more than one fish fry. Scallops cooked perfectly. Brother in law had ribs special he said they tasted good but were not falling off the bone. Sister in law said he Steak was to die for. Will go back and soon! Only problem we had was a server that was not ours took our checks to run our cards and she ran my check with Brother in law’s card and vice versa, there was about a $ 10 difference between the bills, we just straighten it out amongst ourselves and walked away happy.
