Vans Shoes

I picked up a pair of vans a few months ago at Victoria Gardens. They’ve been my «relaxing» shoes after stressful work days… needless to say I’ve already worn them down to the bone. Bummer was I couldn’t remember the name of the specific type. So after much googling and calls to other stores, I finally hit the jackpot by reaching Maxx at the Carlsbad store. Let me tell you, she was a Rockstar! After a very primitive attempt on my part on describing the unique pattern, she was able to nail it. I’ve been here before, but Maxx has ensured that I’ll be back more… defiantly «Maxximum» customer service skills!

Went in to do an exchange and this place was a zoo. Perhaps it was just the busy Sunday. Great service gal helped go back and forth to look for our size in the style. Small store and can get crowded.

I really wish this location weren’t just whatever people looking for a job and hating their retail life. I use to work at this outlet… and I loved my job. I was thankful for having a job! HECK… I USE TO WORK FOR THE SAME COMPANY THAT WAS OWNED BY VANS!!! I know what their customer service standards are and I just have to say… they aren’t meeting their goals.
Honestly, it seems like their staff here tries to hide from the tourist customers that are just purchasing shoes for their kids, or for themselves. If this location weren’t in a popular outlet mall and they didn’t have such great sales, they wouldn’t have any business because their staff here are just slow and horrible at customer servicing.

Chad was super helpful and even special ordered a pair they didn’t carry in my size to be home delivered free of charge. I really appreciate his customer service skills, going above and beyond to make sure I found the pair I’ve been stalking online and for half the price :)

Went into this vans the other day looking for a pair of shoes for my boyfriend but ended up getting a pair for myself thanks to Deborah. She was AWESOME! Extremely nice and helpful. She came up right away and asked if we needed help. She actually seemed like she cared and her fun, bubbly attitude went above and beyond. She told me about current offers and even got to know my style, helping pick out the pair of shoes I ended up getting which just so happened to be on sale!

I visited the Carlsbad Outlets in hopes of finding clothing for my upcoming trip to Seattle.
I stopped by the Vans Outlet store just to look and see if there are any deals I could pounce on. Kevon, the gentleman who assisted me, was very helpful by informing me of current deals and answers to any question I may have. He was friendly and interactive, helping me feel comfortable to choose the pair I wanted.
I ended up scoring two pairs of shoes – Pro Chukka Lows and brown leather Alomar OTWs – plus protective spray for $ 87!
I am super excited and satisfied, and I will look forward to coming back again!

I have been to numerous Van’s Outlet Stores. It’s a hit and miss. We happened to find a couple of pairs of shoes with decent prices. When Van’s opened their outlet stores a few years back, you were able to find shoes in the $ 15-​$ 20 range. Now the discount shoes are in the $ 35-​$ 45 range. That’s a discount? These guys have figured it out that people will buy anything if they think they are buying outlet prices. Pretty pathetic!

I tend to get the bang for my buck when they have the buy one get 50% off second pair deals. It’s rare that I ask for assistance when I shop here. I already know what I’m looking for. When I shop for Vans, I shop for the shoes that fit my personality. It would be ideal if some of the insoles have arch support. Sometimes I have to add some extra support, depending on the shoe. Too bad the classic shoes don’t go on sale. I love my Vans!

Good selection for an outlet. Sale prices were acceptable, but the buy one get one 50% off made ours a killer deal.
Girls at checkout were polite and helpful, albeit busy.
I’m not a huge fan of Vans shoes in general — the fit is unpredictable, toes are often narrow as if made for girls, and they just don’t skate that well — but they do have a classic look that’s hard to beat.

Been a few times now and never had to return anything until now. I work in retail and am aware of different return policies, so I guess I wasn’t surprised to receive store credit instead $$ back. Was a little disappointed not to receive $$ back when a debit card was used for the purchase. Oh well, they didn’t have any merch cards at the front and when the employee helping me asked another to go get some cards he simply said «no.» hahaha… Nice customer service in front of the customer. The guy helping me took a lil time to return, guess I will return to use the merch card. Seems like they have issues with customer service in reading other reviews…

Good sales, helpful ppl on the sales floor.
Should’ve gotten 5 stars for that, but the cashier was terrible. Had us waiting for 10 mins before he told us he could help us. I’m sure he wasn’t doing anything cause there were 3 of them doing nothing while one chick was helpin a customer. That wasn’t even the bad part cause around this time of year I gotta give him the benefit cause he mighta been doin inventory or somethin. He took the boxes of shoes I was gna buy and took a look at em. I made the mistake of looking at the merchandise that they had placed around the check stand. I shoulda kept my eye on my shoes cause this dude didn’t take off the sensors… wtf?! I walked around the whole outlet setting sensors off at 8 different stores until some dude at Adidas stopped me and checked my bag for stolen crap.
Wtf dude at vans (overweight white dude with facial hair) you jack**s. And instead of apologizing they tried to say I brought in a fake receipt? Come on now.
I’ll never come back here, no matter how good their deals are. All that’s required from a simple mistake is a simple apology and i didn’t even get that.

i get most of my kids shoes here… especially when they are buy 1 get the 2^nd ½ off! i stock up 2 pairs for each now and 2 pairs for each in the next size (which they reach within 6 months).
the staff is usually slammed but they are ridiculously helpful in finding sizes and styles that are tucked away in their store room…
i have been a VANS girl as long as i remember… and as long as i have any influence on my kids style i will continue to be a vans girl (i have grown old an lazy and just wear flip flops year round now)
FYI…the VANS store in san ysidro (las americas) is bigger and has more selection… but this is a heck of a lot more convenient for me.

Alot better than where it used to be in the outlet mall — the staff just kind of ignores you, but I guess that’s what you get from teenager employees. Good selection and better pricing than the regular store.

This store is RAD! Best shopping experience I have had in a long time. This store is super busy because of the great prices, and there was still good customer service. I will shop here again for sure.

This store always has a pretty decent selection of vans shoes for men, pretty much the shoes here are $ 5 – 10 lower then retail price. I usually wait for the buy 1 get 1 ½ off sale because you save more money. Staff is decent, store is clean come on a weeknite it’s so nice to shop when the store is empty.

New Vans store is WAY better than the old location. Its like 3 times bigger, more associates to help you out, finally have a dressing room, and best of all more product is accessible to the customers.

This Van’s outlet shoe store is located in the Carlsbad Outlet Mall and to tell you the truth I would of been better off walking into an outdoor shopping store located on the streets of Tijuana then ever thinking of walking into this store again!
The idiot that works here has no personality what so ever or customer service skills on top of that! He was rude and basically acted like we were in his way rather then us being the customer looking to spend some money. A robot would of treated us better. His buddies hanging out in the store waiting for him to be un-​busy and taking up space while we were trying to shop, its not like there’s much room in there in the first place they have over crowded this store way to much.
I finally find a pair of shoes for my son and because his shoe size is one size bigger then the toddler size the shoe now becomes $ 30 instead of $ 20 WT-​hizell is up with that??? I probably will never again shop here and if I do have to spend money here I won’t be the one stepping into this store I’ll send my husband!
