Amy is your gal! I am very very happy that I found her after moving to Carlsbad! From a simple blow out to a perfect haircut… She is amazing! She takes her time with each client and gives you 100% of attention when you are there! She listens to what you want to accomplish and offers professional suggestions to help you achieve what you want! Thanks Amy for helping me look as fabulous as I can!!!

I absolutely love Lynn! She is such an amazing stylist and really takes the time to let you know if the style you want works for you. I constantly get compliments on my cut and color and hand out her card like it’s going out of style!

Tania is the best! I moved here from out of the area and went through one color person to the next until I found her! I recommend her to all my friends and family.

Tania has done my hair for thirteen years. I also get waxed here. Tania has done so many hair styles for me for special occasions from date nights to graduations and weddings… Tania has always exceeded my expectations and makes me feel so special. Alex and Amy always are a delight and very talented!!! I recommend the salon and all of the stylists… They are artists and very good at what they do! They will make you feel special at every step of the way whether you are getting married or going in for your beauty maintenance ;)

One of the stylists, Alex (short for Alexandra, I think) has been wonderful to my now-almost-84-y.o. mother for years. My mother was a natural redhead as a younger woman. Her hair has now gone gray/​white, but when her friends and I convinced her to see about getting her hair done and colored, she wanted to go back to the natural redhead look.
Fake red hair can be a bad look for an older woman, but Alex found a way to make my mother happy and beautiful without looking weird. The coloring she picked is a fabulous accent for my mother’s skin tone, and looks very natural — even though it’s not the color she once had as a young woman. And it satisfied my mother’s desire to go back to being a «redhead» without making her look like a clown. In fact, the hair coloring makes her look much better, younger and more vital, yet natural.
Having seen what Alex can do with hair color for my mother, I’d HIGHLY recommend her to any person going gray (or white) who’s thinking about a change but who wants to look natural.
When I’ve been in the spa, the clientele did not look like primarily older women and men, so it was great that Alex could pull this off so perfectly.
Handily, the Hair Spa is also right next to a Mexican restaurant on one side and a sandwich place, so if you’re getting your hair done and have a spouse or friend waiting in the wings, they can wait there and have a marguerita or non-​alcoholic beverages and other snacks while you get your hair done!

I moved to Carlsbad about 1 year ago and I have tried about 5 salons in town before finding The Hair Spa. I was able to get a same day appointment and I was really happy with the results. Lauren listened to me and consulted me on what style would look best as I grow my hair out. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been getting my hair done with Tanya since my wedding 17 years ago with nothing but consistently awesome results. I have very long hair and I like it that way. I got crazy about 10 – 11 years ago and decided to chop it off! Tanya cautiously advised some cuts to go with the shape of my face and my lifestyle. I donated the 2 feet of hair that was cut. Now, every other October I return to her for more of the same. Her cuts are so excellent that I can and do go 2 years without even a trim. My cuts always grow out as she says they will. I’ve recommended her over the years and have only gotten raves from people thanking me! She is VERY knowledgeable on the latest techniques and products. I’ll see her again this month to cut and donate again and will again for years to come! Love ya Tanya!

I have been getting my hair done by Tanya for over 3 years and I have to tell you she is the shit !!! I have long hair and she always managed to keep it long throughout the years… without the urge to hack it off! We did a cut the other night that could of turned out awful if it wasn’t in the right hands. She of course exceeded my expectations. made me feel like a million bucks and its an added bonus that she is a pleasure to talk to in the chair !

I’ve been a client since the fall of 2009 after seeing too many other stylists who did not give me what I was asking for. Amy took the time to listen and offer suggestions and then proceeded to give me the results I had been seeking for quite awhile. I like being blond… but I hate seeing the dark roots grow in… so I wanted something subtle and blended where it looked like highlights in my natural hair color. Sounds simple, but I kept finding stylists who wanted to paint a solid color on and then within weeks I was unhappy with the new growth. Now I have exactly what I want. The shop is in a beautiful spot, just steps from a frozen yogurt and walk alongside the beach. Amy is sweet and patient and there is just a great, positive energy in the salon. Obviously — — I highly recommend Amy and The Hair Spa!
