This super cuts is awesome. Carissa is the manager. Always friendly and cuts my sons hair and styles my hair. Her staff is great. I highly recommend coming to this supercuts. You will be happy!!!

Although as a man you pay premium for a haircut here, the price is worth it. I have had Brittany as my hair stylist on multiple occasions and I kid you not gives me a better hair cut each time I come in. Her customer service skills are outstanding and she has a great sense of humor and is easy to converse with. When receiving my shampoo portion of the cut, she really works the soap into my scalp so I know I am getting my money’s worth. If I were to walk in blind-​folded through the whole process and leave not looking into a mirror until once home I would think that I went to an up-​scale hair salon. Thank you for the wonderful hair cuts and I will be returning soon :)

Amanda was awesome, she was referred by a friend and I called her desperate to fix a bad hair cut that cost me $ 85.00, and she was able to take me and fixed my hair, I’ll definitely be going back to her! Thanks Amanda!

I’ve had great service with professional and energetic stylists. Take it from a simple guy. Call in prior to make sure they’re taking walk ins and you’ll be out in 20. Breanna has been nothing but the best!

I’ve been going to this Supercuts for the last 1 ½ years. I used to try the Encinitas Ranch center but the wait always outweighed the haircut. La Costa Supercuts usually gets it right.
Recently, the last ²⁄₃ haircuts have resulted in me having to come back and ask for a re-​cut. Usually the re-​cut cures everything except for the waste of my time and horrible service I received the first time.
The only saving grace for this Supercuts is the Manager, Amanda and a few of the other stylist there. Yes, I will keep coming here but only for the location and those few stylist that actually show that they care.

WORST HAIRCUT EVER. First time to this place and first time to a supercuts in 20 years. It lived down to its reputation.
I made an appt. to come in on a Sunday. The «stylist» informed me he was called in that day to work because the store was busy and «he is really fast» — as if this is some feather in his cap. That’s not what you want to here as a customer. Even if this is just a supercuts, a haircut should not take 6 minutes total. That was after asking to even up an area on the side of my head that was not cut evenly. Nothing was cut from 75% of my hair despite asking for a certain length taken off all the way around. Obviously the store was trying to churn and burn through a busy Sunday but no way in hell you can think a 6 min haircut can fly. I didn’t appreciate the cavalier attitude of the place. Save yourself the trouble — don’t go here unless you want to have to get an actual haircut immediately thereafter.

I was in a pinch and was in desperate need of a haircut. I live in Encnitas and decided to Unilocal Supercuts because it has been years since I have been inside a Supercuts. I read some great reviews about this location, and especially about Carissa. I decided to call and sure enough she was available :)) I went in right away and when I opened the door I was welcomed by such friendly smiles and felt comfortable right away. This is HUGE for me, because I’m such a vibe person! All positive here!!! I got the best haircut I have had in years and because I trusted Carissa at this point I decided to get some highlights. She put some warm caramel highlights in my dark brown hair and I am so ecstatic. They look so natural and best of all they will be easy to keep up with (low maintenance). Thanks Carissa for giving me a new look and a boost in my self confidence which I truly needed! You have a client for life :))

I highly recommend this salon for many reasons! The staff is so fun that I kinda wish I worked there. Carissa is helping me go from red to blonde (not an easy process). Along the way, she has been patient, helpful and knowledgeable. I went in once and then decided I wanted it a little bit lighter, so they made sure I was happy with the finished product and saw me a second time this week. Often when you return to fix a service in a salon you are greeting with attitude, not here. The manager Amanda was super understanding and nice, and Carissa was extremely understanding. I enjoyed Art’s jokes the whole time and truly felt at home. It isn’t often you find a salon so inviting and genuine. They have gained a new loyal customer! Thank you for such an awesome experience!

I was totally nervous to get my haircut at a generic place like supercuts but I have to admit Carissa was great! She did a great job on my hair and is a very pleasant person. I highly recommend her. And the price is great. I will definitely be back.

I took my son in to get a trim and showed the girl what we wanted. His bangs were barely in his eyes so we just needed them trimmed and evened. What we got was a slanted hair cut from the right top of his forehead to his left eyebrow. When I took him back to show them the stylist was mortified. They gave me my money back and I took him home and shaved it all off to start over. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for. Low prices equals low experience.

Barbara the manager cut my hair and I would have to say she gave me the best haircut I think I ever had in my life. I’ve got fine straight hair, lots of it (thankfully)
It is hard to get a layered cut that will make it fall in an attractive fashion. She did an outstanding job and I love the simplicity of just wash and go I have with my hair now.

I got my hair colored by a friend and it didn’t turn out good at all. I went on vacation to Carlsbad right after. I called Supercuts in Carlsbad for an appointment for the next day. I got Carissa for my color repair and cut. She did a fantastic job. She got my color and cut to exactly what I showed her on a picture. I was so happy with the way I looked that I went back the next day to thank her again.

I got Sarah and I love my haircut. Soo cute. The hair wash was super comfortable and I understand and responded to everything she asked me to do. The only thing that doesn’t give it a 5 is the fact that she didn’t really talk with me at all, but otherwise I loved the experience and the result! Plus great pricing! Bring 20 bucks for a wash and cut and you’re set!

I got hacked by Ashley at this Supercuts! I am upset that when I called to make an appointment, I wanted to ask for a stylist who was good with long layers on long hair and Ashley is the one who answered the phone and said «yeah, I have been working as a stylist for 7 years.» Hard to get an objective opinion when the stylist answers and is just trying to schedule her own appointments!
I had hair almost down to my waist and the top of it was damaged from the sun and past coloring but not so bad that I needed anything dramatic done. I told her to not touch the full length of my hair but to trim up the top layer to help take care of the damage; fast forward through her hacking through my long hair with wild abandon and obviously having no experience in long layers — I walked out of there with layers that started at my shoulders and ended above my bra strap, and she listened to me and left a tiny bit of my full length in the back, the layers were not just from the crown of my hair like many long layers I’ve had before, they went all the way down into the sides of my head, leaving the back long piece looking like some stupid tail. When I got home and realized how ridiculous it looked in the back (it looked like I was wearing a layered wig on top of my hair in the back) I had to hack off about 3 – 4 inches of my very slow growing fine blonde hair just to make it blend in. Oh, and the layers were not even, so when I had my hair in a pony tail it had a few pieces of longer hair that she missed!
End of story, I went in with super long, thick hair that needed a little taken off and I left with half my hair gone and uneven layers. DO NOT LET THIS ASHLEY CHICK CUT YOUR HAIR, PERIOD!

Always get a fabulous cut and color from this salon! It’s really special that I’ve found a place that consistently makes me look great, and feel welcome! Highly recommend coming here

I took my 3 year old son for a hair cut. Getting his hair cut was a new thing for him so he was crying and being loud. So halfway through the cut one of ladies who was cutting someone else’s hair (I’m assuming she was the owner or the manager) basically told us we had to leave and she was extremely rude about it. So we were kicked out of their shop with a half a hair cut and then they had the audacity to charge us full price for a cut they didn’t finish. I told them about his fear of hair cuts before hand and they said it was fine so it’s not like they didn’t know. At least they could have been nice about it … I could not believe how we were treated.

I went here last week to get a hair cut. They had no receptionist and only 2 girls working, but boy did they do their absolute best to give everyone that came in great service! Not only were they both very nice and friendly, i received a great hair cut also! My hair sylist’s name was Maryssa, she was very nice and professional!
Definitely a great place to go for a quick hair cut :)

I’m being going to Supercuts at La Costa Ave. and El Camino Real, for the past 5 or 7 years or at list as long as Amanda has been working there. She’s not only the manager at that store but she’s also a great stylist. Always with a awesome attitude and professionalism, she has been great.
