Had my first Brazilian and sugaring waxing today. Elizabeth really took the time to make me feel comfortable. I wont be going any where else and I’m a convert to sugaring.

Just got my first sugaring Brazilian done with Julie and she is AMAZING. She’s very professional and makes you feel comfortable while talking you through the whole process. It was fast and not as painful as waxing. She also offers military discount and you get a little goodie bag before you leave. I highly recommend Julie and I will definitely be coming back.

Five words, to keep it simple. I WILL NEVER WAX AGAIN.
sugaring has to be the best thing invented in life besides wine! Well it has been around for thousands of years, if you didnt know that by now. Do your research! Its better for you in so many ways.

Julie was amazing! I went in yesterday for my first ever full brazilain and full buttocks done she made me feel super comfortable and talked to me during the whole process! Okay, I am a huge chicken when it comes to waxing, threading, and hair removal in general. Just came in for a Brazilian with Julie and it was awesome! It is not pain free as it is hair removal after all. But for the first time I got off the table with literally zero redness, zero bumps, and my skin looks amazing. Julie is so nice and makes the experience super comfortable for you just talking you through the process. Never going back for a wax. I’m upset I haven’t tried this before!

I’ve been hesitant to review because I absolutely love and am loyal to Julie’s sugaring company.

1. Not Inflamed Red Like Waxing
*OMG. After a wax, did you ever wonder why you waxed? It’s so sore and inflamed.
*Sugaring is completely different in method and much gentler for your hair growth, skin and sanity!
2. Professionalism & Personable
*Yes, Julie responds quickly to changes of needing an appointment, but I don’t recommend you waiting last minute either now as she books quickly.
*She DOES reply quickly in a professional manner
*She’s a very personable and caring person. You will feel safe, comfortable, and learn a lot from her.
3. Follow Her Recommendations
*She has recommended me certain ways to help with my skin and hair by moisturizing, being hydrated, etc. It’s worked!
*She even gave me a sample of a lotion to prevent parallel/​ingrown hairs (that developed from waxing).
*She’s very knowledgable and trust her insight.

I was really expecting to not like this place. I had a girl that I had become comfortable with and was a repeat customer with in Encinitas. I have to say, I loved it. That’s hard to say at a sugaring, but they apply pressure while sugaring and it made all the difference, it wasn’t even HALF as painful as the Encinitas place. I’ll most definitely be back. Also I had Dakota and she was very nice and understanding

All right people… sugaring is the best method for hair removal out there! Seriously, forget shaving, European wax, laser removal and who knows what else! This was my first time getting waxed ever and I got a Brazilian wax! Julie is AMAZING and makes you feel very comfortable! I had been toying around with the idea because shaving was becoming too much of a hassle. Having never been sugared before, or even waxed for that matter, I wasn’t quite sure about what to expect. I was nervous. But Julie did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable. (Maybe it was the fact she’s been a nurse for so many years.) She was so personable and knowledgable during my visit that I actually learned a lot about the sugaring process and how much better it is for you. Which also helped to keep me distracred. I would be lying if I said I didn’t feel some pain, because I did, but that was also my first time ever getting anything down under. The office is clean, bright and relaxing at the same time. I am looking forward to my next appointment, and the ones that follow. If you haven’t tried sugaring I recommended that you do! And I recommend you go see Julie!

Julie is amazing & has taught me the benefits of sugar waxing vs regular waxing. She makes you feel very comfortable, and is truly the best! I found her on groupon in May and I have been going to her ever since. Her place is very cute, and I highly recommend SUGARING LA in Carlsbad!

AMAZING! I will NEVER wax again after experiencing sugaring! I can’t wait until my next session. Julie is the sweetest and she taught me a lot about hair and the follicles and how sugaring is waaaaay different than waxing. I can’t believe more salons aren’t offering this service yet. Julie is also a HUGE supporter of the military and offers great discounts. I’m telling all my friends to stop waxing and start sugaring now!

I have gone to about 4 other establishments for my sugaring and Julie is by far the best. She was the only esthetician to apply pressure to the area which immensely helps to ease the pain. She also takes the time to explain the process. She is very professional, warm and kind. I will definately be returning. I highly recommend her!

Julie is amazing! She makes you feel very comfortable, and is knowledgable about her trade. Almost a week after my appointment and I am still perfectly smooth, never any swelling! If you wax, give sugaring a try. If you don’t, this is the best hair removal method and establishment to start with.
Sugaring still hurts, but I found it to be much less painful than I expected and Julie is so sweet and patient. ¹⁰⁄₁₀!

I have a VERY low pain tolerance. I won’t «sugar coat» this and say that this process isn’t painful. However, with someone as friendly and giggly and smiley as Julie, the pain is a lot more tolerable.
The place is very clean and quaint. She genuinely cares about your well-​being and will give you a towel to bite (yes, I’m like that!) or water, if needed.
It’s so easy to make an appointment. You can do it online in a jiffy, or via text, or call. It’s all very technologically-​friendly for such a little gem. Plus, you’ll get an email reminder the day before and a text reminder the day of.
She offers a military discount for military and spouses, too!
I’m glad I found this spot and highly recommend it to anyone curious about a waxing alternative!

First time customer and to «waxing», decided on a Brazilian sugaring vs. waxing after research and recommendations from friends.
Making an appt:
Texted Julie at the number provided and making an appointment was simple, was informed I would have a consultation prior to my appt.
Exterior:
Located in adorable downtown Carlsbad, the buildings are addressed (from Left to Right) B, A, C. This location is in building C, towards the back/​upstairs.
Interior:
Very clean and fresh, bathroom located to your right of entering building and spa is located to the left, cozy place to sit to fill out your form, browse the pamphlet and smell the all natural lotions.
1 big room for waxing that is bright and clean.
Julie is very sweet, listens very well and quite educated, she made me feel very comfortable (on something that is usually awkward) my Brazilian took 15mins and was painless! I like that once the hair was removed the applied pressure to the area. Very gentle as well.
Thanks Julie, I will probably never shave again!
