Stu Miller’s Christmas Trees

Got another tree with Stu Miller this year. It’s January 8^th and I don’t have the heart to take the tree down because it still smells wonderful and is as green as the day we bought it.

I see a lot of bad reviews, but our experience was quite nice. Our tree is fresh and beautiful. And Connor is the young man who prepared our tree for taking home… he was friendly, energetic, and so patient while we looked at tree after tree after tree. We went to the lot at Palomar Airport Rd. Thank you for a beautiful tree and thank you, Connor, for all your help!!!

Fresh, beautiful trees and outstanding service! We love this place and have come here for years. They even have extra tall trees and will deliver if you’d like. Love this place! And the employees really like their boss.

Don’t go here! I heard the boss guy running it is a child molester! Please don’t support this tree lot!
There is a tree lot right down the street from here 1 mile down the road on the right (don’t remember the name) that is perfectly nice, with cheaper prices anyway! We went there instead and got a nice tree for 29 dollars.

Purchased our tree at their Carlsbad lot on Palomar Airport Road. By far the worst Christmas tree we’ve ever had throughout a combined 75 years Christmases. One star is actually too good for how horrid this place is. Would love to be able to upload the pictures taken of the dead tree they sold us for $ 100. We asked them to cut the tree and trusting that they would, (as we have never had an issue before at other places we’ve purchased trees from. Not only was the tree not cut but the bottom half of the tree was essentially dead with dried bare branches. It looks like a torch was taken to it. The tree would not soak up water and created a swamp smell so atrocious, we could not sit in the living room for 2 days after draining and leaving the windows opened all day. When we went back to to tell them about it, their response was: «It happens.» Really??? We will never purchase a tree from these people ever again.

DO NOT GO TO STU MILLER! FRAUD PRICING AND RIP OFF!
I went to their Simi Valley lot this week to buy a tree. I picked one out and it was tagged $ 59.99. The lot person, trimmed it and put my stand on gave me the tag to go pay for it. The lot person then brought the tree around and stood it up to the heighth gauge. The lady in the boot said 7 – 8 foot, charge $ 84.99! I asked why it was tagged as $ 59.99? She pointed to a sign and said each tree will be measured as they are sometimes mis-​tagged! By then I have already committed to the tree by having it trimmed and my stand on it! I told the lady that I felt like I just got ripped off. She shrugged her shoulders and pointed to the sign again.
Never again will I shop at Stu Miller.

I agree with the other reviewer. Same thing happened to us. The signs claiming they will match any advertised price is TOTALLY deceptive and intend to trap you into submission once you have arrived. They also state that the prices are 30% below 2007 prices. WHAT??? Like anyone would actually know what prices they charged in 2007? Another way to trick and manipulate. NEVER AGAIN and further more, I will spread the news to all who will listen.

I’ve shopped at Stu Miller’s Christmas tree farm for the last several years to purchase my live Christmas tree. Their prices are higher than Home depot or Lowes by double, but the signs surrounding the lots state that they will match any advertised price. Tonight I tried to buy a tree and brought printed material from the Lowes website (as I did last year) in order to get a lower price, however the couple managing this lot refused to honor the policy. They stated that there had to be a date printed on the ad and when I showed them the prices via my iphone, they still refused. This is deceitful advertising and I will never shop here again. Furthermore, the woman was rude and on several occasions went on to tell my husband and I that we were wrong when we told them that they were not following their own policy based on the printed sign. So much for making a customer happy…
